Merry Monday #18

I’m posting early this week.  I am a Guest Designer at Always Playing With Paper, for my Challenge win at Merry Monday #16! 🙂  I am sooooo excited!!    What an incredible honor!!

Here is this weeks Merry Monday sketch #18, you will see me featured as a Guest Designer:)

If you have been following me at all, you know I don’t color very well:(  As a matter of fact, I usually use pre-colored images.  So you will be very surprised to see that I DID color this image my self!  I used Stampin’ Up! ink and an Aqua Pen. I made the stripe paper in the center in Print Shop.  I used my Stampin’ Up! digital papers.  I “cut” strips in PS and placed them in a design and just printed them out on SU Shimmery White Cardstock.  I don’t think you can tell in the photo, but it has a nice sparkle look to it:)

This is an awesome image by Mo Manning called Kai in the Snow. Please visit Mo’s Digital Pencil to see more of  her digital images!

Oh, wait, here’s one more of her images;)  I made a second card with the same layout!  This card is not colored:(  Just too much to color for me:(  I did see about a dozen cards made with this image over at Splitcoaststampers!  This image is called Video Boy.  If you put that name in the search feature, a whole bunch of cards will come up!  You do need to register for this site, but it’s free:)

This card is for my grandson who is turning 13!  I can hardly believe it!  His mother follows my blog so she will get a preview before I send it;)  It’s so hard to make cards for  teenage boys.  This image is perfect! 🙂  I hope he’ll like it:)

Well, I will have a very long supply list, so I will get to it:)  Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have enjoyed my cards:)  Please remember to pop over to Always Playing With Paper and check out all the fun challenges as well as Merry Monday!

Freshly Made #32

I needed some more down time this week.  You know what that means…..yep, I had to make a card;)  I found this sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches:

I love square cards!  I usually make my Lace’ cards square.  I found this sketch to be no exception:)  I’ve made similar cards with this template in square form, however today, I cut out my template into a circle. Here is my card:

Lace’ (lay-say) templates are no longer made by the original company in Europe:(  Lucky for me, I bought a bunch of them before they were all gone!

I used Fred She Said blue background paper, and blue flowers.  They actually come together in a digital kit.  You can get them in purple, pink and blue.  All you do is print them and cut them out:)  You can also get the plain outlines and color them yourself.

Thanks for stopping by today:)  I hope you have a great weekend! 🙂

If you come by on Monday, April 30th, you can see an image I have actually colored myself!

Merry Monday #17

Wow, it’s only Tuesday and I have my card done for this week!  It was kind of quiet yesterday and I was able to get this card done:)  Yes, it did take all day and part of the night;) lol  I’m pretty pleased with myself though:)  Ok, here is this weeks sketch from Merry Monday, over at Always Playing with Paper:

And here is my card:

I have to admit, I really don’t care for circles on my cards.  I can never figure out what to put in them:(  I searched through all my bins and finally came up with these cute little embellishments from Michaels.  I have no idea when I got them, could have been last year or the year before.

The paper is also from about 2 years ago, it’s from Imaginisce.  The candy canes are on one side of the paper, and the background is the other side of the paper.  I love double sided paper!

Now for an exciting update!  When I went to get the link for Always Playing with Paper, I discovered that I won last weeks challenge!  I am so excited!!  What a wonderful surprise!!  I especially like the card I made last week:)  Here is my winning entry:

And here is my super cool new badge:

I am so honored to to be picked!!  Please be sure to pop over to Always Playing with Paper and see everyone’s beautiful cards! 🙂

Thanks so much for coming by today!  I hope your days are as special as you are:)  See you again soon:)

I wasn’t sure I wanted to do this one.  Then I remembered a card I had seen in all white.  I thought something like that would be perfect.  I hope you like it:

I’m having a really bad day:(  So I will leave you with a minimal supply list.

Thanks for coming by, hope to see you again soon:)

Freshly Made Sketches #30

Ok, a really simple card today!  I made this card with a sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. Here is the sketch:

Here is my card.  I will explain how I made it.  I did NOT hand color any part of this card:

I think this card has a high impact.  The colors are bright, and different.  This was a very easy card to make and you could do it too!  Almost all the elements are digital, but it’s NOT a digital card.  All of the elements were printed onto paper, cut out and assembled.

First, the elements are from a digital store called “Raspberry Road Designs“.  I linked the page for you, of course you don’t have to use digital images, I would just like to show you how easy it is:)  Especially if you’ve never tried digital images.  They are very similar to the Fred She Said images I use.

I used the red dotted, and the yellow from the Cherry Bliss Paper Set, at Raspberry Road Designs.  The bird image is from Raspberry Road, but I think it was a freebie from last year. The green paper is Stampin’ Up! Garden Green.

I printed all the digital papers and images and then cut them out.  Then all I had to do was assemble all the pieces.  How easy is that?  I like the way it turned out:)  I may even add some bling, I’m not sure yet.

If you think making cards is too hard, this is a nice way to get started:)

Thanks for coming by today, hope to see you again:)

Merry Monday #15

More Merry Monday🙂  I’m really enjoying making my Christmas cards:)  Here is this weeks sketch:

I love Fred She Said, she has so many images to choose from.  I did NOT color this image!  I like to get the pre-colored images. Here is my card:

Both purple papers and the image came from Fred She Said. The green paper is Stampin’ Up! Garden Green.  I used some white ribbon and and rhinestones from Michaels.  I’m not happy with my photo:(  I took several and this was the best one.  The rhinestones were hard to get right today:(

Thanks for stopping by today:)  Hope to see you again soon:)

Freshly Made Sketch #29

So….I was over at Freshly Made Sketches, and look at this great sketch:

Here is the card I made:

I love the way this turned out!  I used a Fred She Said image, “Hummingbirds & Columbine Colored Set”.  I did NOT color this myself!  I like to buy the pre-colored, because I am hopeless at coloring:(  The rest of my supplies are all Stampin’ Up! products. I used their new Edgelits-Adorning Accents (125595) and stamp set “Bordering on Romance”.  That is the cut edge and the blue dots.  As always, questions are welcome:) Be sure to check out all the wonderful card entries at Freshly Made!

I hope everyone has a great Easter, even if you are only interested in the candy;)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope to see you again soon:)

Second Merry Monday #13

I wanted to show you the second card I made with the #13 sketch:)  I wanted to enter this one, but just ran out of time.  It’s very colorful!

The background paper is from a stack of DCWV paper.  Yes, it’s Christmas paper;)  I have no idea when I bought it, sorry.  The image is from PC Hugware, no longer available, sorry again.  The winter postmark is Stampin’ Up!, “Winter Post”.  The blue Joy is also Stampin’ Up!, from “Perfect Punches”.

I hope you like it:) Thanks for coming by today:)  I hope to see you soon when I put up a new post and sketch:)
