The Paper Players #97

I found a challenge over at The Paper Players, I haven’t played here in a while, thought I’d jump in:)  Here is the sketch they put up:

And here is my card, you can click to make it larger:

No, I did NOT color this image.  This is a new image from Fred She Said, pre-colored:)  I do love my pre-colored images;) !  I popped up most of the central image and I added some SU Dazzling Details on the dragonfly wings.  Makes them really sparlke:)  I used mostly Stampin’ Up! papers.  The blue paper is also Fred’s, I used it at the top of my blog.   I like it so much, I think I’m going to make a second card with the blue at the top:)

It’s quiet here tonight so I’m off to make another card:)  Have a great week, thanks for stopping by:)  Be sure to head over to The Paper Players and see what others did with the sketch:)

World of Crafters May Sketch Challenge

I am a member over at World of Crafters🙂  They just decided to start a sketch challenge.  It’s a site where you need to be a member, but it’s free:)   Here is the sketch they put up:

Here is my card, featuring an image by Fred She Said, which I did NOT color myself. You can click on it to make it larger:

I used all Stampin’ Up! papers, except the white, which is a special paper I buy at Target.  The white paper is called “photo project paper-matte”.  It prints beautiful images!  I set my printer for flyers or brochures-matte.  I don’t know about your printer, but when I tell mine to print, it will give me an option to change the properties.  That’s where I make my changes, I always reset them when printing a new project.  The options will also reset when you close your program, I use Print Shop.

The printed background paper is also Stampin’ Up! It’s digital paper called Well Worn.  The three dots on the lower right, were cut using a plain old paper hole punch.  I used SU mini glue dots to attach them.

This card has quite a few elements, but it was really simple:)  You could do it, really:)  All you really need is paper and a paper cutter.  You could make all the shapes into squares or rectangles:)

As always, feel free to leave questions if you have them.  I’m happy to share:)  Thanks for stopping by today to have a look:)  I hope you’re having a great weekend!

Freshly Made Sketches #36

Yesterday I made a card for the Freshly Made Challenge.  I used a color from the outgoing Stampin’ Up! In Colors, Peach Parfait.  It seemed to fit perfectly with the image I chose from Fred She Said, Parrot Tulip Pre-Coloured Set.  I did NOT color this image myself, hence the name, “Pre-Coloured” 😉  Here is the sketch:

Here is the card I made, you can click on it to make it larger:

I’ve used all Stampin’ Up! papers.  The image is from Fred She Said.  I used a punch that says “Punch Bunch”, but I’ve forgotten where I bought it:(  It doesn’t punch cardstock very well, I used the same paper that I used for my image, it’s thicker than paper, but thinner than cardstock.  I mounted the squares onto Peach Parfait, and then onto Garden Green.  The image is mounted onto Bashful Blue.

I hope you like my card:)  Thanks for stopping by, I will actually be putting up another card later today.  Have a great weekend!

Here is the card I made, you can click on it to make it larger:

The image for this card is from Fred She Said.  I don’t color well, so this image is black and white.  I do like the little red gems;)  I don’t feel very chatty today.  I hope you like my card:)

Thanks for coming by:)  Have a great week!

Freshly Made Sketches #35

Ooooops, I thought I would be posting on my Stampin’ Up! blog!  Oh, well, next time:)  Right now I have a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  Here is sketch #35:

When I saw this sketch, I knew what paper I wanted to use!  Here is my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

Isn’t this gorgeous paper? !  I’ve had it for a few years, it’s called Rose Papier, by Lettering Delights.  It’s digital paper.  I know, really, where do I keep finding these places? lol   I love digital paper because you can resize the image to a “card size”.  Some of the scarpbook papers have images that are just too big for cards.  My opinion anyway.

The hardest part of this card was deciding on the embellishment.  I tried at least a dozen different options.  I’m pretty happy with the little bead flower I found in my stash:)

Easy supply list today:)  I hope you might give digital papers a try, they can be found all over the place.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look today:)  Be sure to stop by Freshly Made Sketches and check out all the other cards:)  Have a great weekend:)

Merry Monday #20

It’s starting to get hot where I live, but here I am still making Christmas cards:)  This card, of course, is for Merry Monday over at Always Playing With Paper. Here is the sketch:

Here is the card I made, you can click on it to make it larger:

I used supplies from imaginisce, from their “Polar Expressions Collection”.  I think I bought it about 3 years ago, but I still love it!  Anyway….the brown background paper, the green paper (which is the back of on of the papers), and the cute bird are all from imaginisce.  I used Stampin’ Up! Real Red, and snowflake vellum from a craft store.  The snowflakes are from a box I have filled with punched out snowflakes.  I’m not sure of the punches used:(  The bird is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I also used the Merry Christmas stamp from Stampin’ Up! Teeny Tiny Wishes.

I think this will make a great card for one of my granddaughters:)  Or my grandson who loves Cardinals;)

I just got a box of Stampin’ Up! products today so my next card will probably be over on my “Stampin’ Up! blog.  If you’re following me, you will get it in your e-mail:) Or you can just click here🙂

Thanks for coming by today, I hope you all have a great weekend, wherever you are! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches #34

This is my second post this week.  Two cards in one week! 🙂  I found this sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.   This is sketch number 34.

Here is my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

There were quite a few layers this time.  I decided to do a mostly digital card.  I do use a lot of digital images, but this card has a few layers of digital paper.

All of the green background is  digital and only one layer. The blue and beige at the bottom are included in the first layer on white.  The middle beige is digital, but I cut it out and stamped it with En Francais from Stampin’ Up!.  The purple stripe is digital, but cut out and attached.

Finally, the center image is digital, also the green it’s placed on.  I cut it out using Spellbinders, Lacey Circles.  I popped it up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  All of my digital images today, came from Raspberry Road Designs. The digital kit is called Circle of Friends, I used one of the Side Clusters.

This card will be great to send overseas, because it’s mostly digital, it will cost less in postage:)  My photos just don’t seem to do justice to my cards:(  I think it’s much nicer in person than in this photo:)

Thanks for stopping by today:)  Be sure to check out all of my links for today:)  Especially Freshly Made Sketches, where you will find more cards made with the same layout:)

I hope you all have a great week! 🙂
