Merry Monday #26

Please scroll down for the Fred She Said Fabulous Flowers Blog Hop!!!

This card is for the Merry Monday challenge.  Yep, another Christmas card;)

My daughter and her two girls have moved in with us for a while, and I have been challenged to get anything done!  I found the simplicity of this sketch to be almost beyond me this week.  Hopefully things will settle into a routine that includes some cardmaking time for me! 🙂  Here is the Merry Monday sketch for this week:

Here is my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

For this card I used a red background paper from Raspberry Road Designs. They’re having a sale this weekend:)  Just found that out myself:)  The red paper is digital.  The black is SU! Basic Black, I have used VersaMark and stamped snowflakes on it, but it’s really hard to see.  I used a sentiment from SU!, Hand-Penned Holidays.  The corner snowflake is from Memory  Box, it’s a die called Snowflake Corner.  Very appropriate title. LOL

I started this card about a dozen times and couldn’t decide on the papers.  Finally, last night, I decided I was over thinking the whole card, and just picked one of my many samples.  I hope you like it! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today!  I’m always happy to have you, come again soon:)

Be sure to scroll down for the Fred She Said Fabulous Flowers Blog Hop!!!

I have one more card, because I just had to use this second Rose!
For this card I used the Corner Rose-7colours Set.  It can be found here.  You’ll be seeing more of both these Roses! 🙂  I cut out the Rose and 3D it.  Yes cutting the petals was time consuming, if you make it larger, you can see I cut all the ridges!  But it looks awesome!  I used a new Spellbinders die to cut the white shape, I love the way it sets off the Rose!  I used SU! Regal Rose as the background.  I also used an EK success punch for the corners.  Please let me know if you have any other questions regarding supplies:)

Freshly Made Sketches #40 with Fred She Said

I usually follow the sketches pretty closely, so you may be surprised to see what I’ve done with the sketch today.  The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches, The artwork is all pre-colored images from Fred She Said.  Here’s this weeks sketch:

If you follow me at all, your going to wonder what I was thinking. LOL  For some reason, as soon as I saw the sketch, this image popped into my mind.  Here’s my card:

I’m pretty excited about this card!  Click on it and make it larger:)  I used SU! Dazzling Detail on the fin.  It made the fin kind of warped.  I love it!  I used one Stampin’ Dimensional cut in half for the middle of the “body”.  On the left side near the edge, I used two SU! mini glue dots.  It kinda poofs in the center and the bottom of the fin is raised all by itself.  I wish I could get a really good photo, it looks kind of bland here, but in person it looks really 3 dimensional.  I also used mini glue dots for the plant leaves.  I rolled them up and placed them with my craft knife.  They are raised ever so slightly.

I used three pearls as bubbles in the top right corner.  I printed the “water” paper, Emma the mermaid, and the water plant all from Fred She Said’s store. One of my first “Emmas”.   I printed the “sand” with digital paper from Stampin’ Up!  It’s digital Crumb Cake, with a 60 percent tint.  I printed it, cut it out and then tore it.  The happy birthday is from SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I used my new Framelits, Bitty Banners for the sentiment shape, I cut the left side straight.

Wow, that’s a lot of info!  I got a short nap today and I’m a tad hyper right now. lol I hope you like my card:)  I will have all the supplies listed below.

Thanks for stopping by today:)  See you soon:)

Merry Monday #25 with Fred She Said

Well, it’s another Merry Monday challenge, I just can’t get enough of them;)  I think I’m doing pretty good getting my Christmas cards done:)  I think I only missed the first three weeks, and that’s because I didn’t find the challenge until the fourth week in:(   Even if my friends and family are checking in here, they will never remember what I’ve made come Christmas! 🙂

Here is the Merry Monday challenge #25 sketch:

Now I’ll show you the first card I made, you can click on my cards to make them larger:

I really love this card, but my hubby said from where he was sitting (on the couch about 8 feet away) you could hardly make out the green holly across the bottom.  Ok, fair enough, so I made a second card, I love the second one too, but you will be able to see how much better the holly stands out:

If you leave a comment, be sure to tell me which one you like better:)  The bird images are from Fred She Said, and they are pre-colored, I did NOT color them myself!  They’re in the Christmas Bird Series.  There’s also a pair of Christmas Robins, but for some reason, I don’t have that one:(

I used all Stampin’ Up! papers.  I love how they match up:)  A few misc. supplies and you have a very nice, if I do say so myself, card:)  This IS a simply made card.  Nothing hard about it, except maybe gluing everything straight. lol  I do have trouble with that sometimes;)  I will have all supplies listed below.  Be sure to check out the other cards at Merry Monday, and also check Fred She Said for card samples.

Thanks for coming by today, I appreciate you looking and I love comments:)  Have a great week!

Bearly Mine Challenge with Fred She Said

OMGoodness, I have lots of info for you today!  Fred She Said is sponsoring a challenge over at Bearly Mine.  The challenge is flowers and I have used paper designed by Bearly Mine, that I got at the Fred She Said store.   I have also used a pre-colored image from Fred She Said. Wow, lots of links to take you all over the place! lol  All of these links will take you somewhere different! Try to check them all out:)

Now, here is my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

Look at this gorgeous paper!  It’s a pre-colored digital paper.  I’ve used my trusty “photo project paper-matte” from Target.  It prints beautiful papers and images.  I have an HP Photosmart 5510 printer. My FSS image, that I did NOT color myself, came out beautiful too!  I added in some of my Stampin’ Up! products and I think it really came out nicely:)

Thanks for coming by today!  I hope you can find some inspiration! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketchs #39 with Fred She Said

I was searching for a challenge, and I found one over at Freshly Made Sketches🙂 I used a pre-colored image from Fred She Said, and a Lace’ die for the cut & fold.  Here is the sketch for this week:

Here’s my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

I did NOT color this image!  The flower image is pre-colored by Fred She Said.  The background paper was in my stash, it’s double sided, perfect for Lace’ cutting:)  Lace’  (lay-say) is a metal cutting die that you cut with a craft knife and then fold over.  Lace’ is the name of the die, they are no longer made.  I have seen some different kinds of dies that go through cutting machines like Cuttlebug.  They’re kind of pricey, and I really prefer the Lace’ dies. I think the new ones  are made by Spellbinders.

I used some Stampin’ Up! Garden Green and a misc. stamp.  More info below in my supply list.

Thanks for coming by today:)  I will have another Christmas card soon;)

Wow, today is a big day!  Tracey over at Fred She Said is going to announce her new Design Team Members, and I’m one of them! 🙂  She also is having a draw for $25 gift certificate to her store!  How cool is that?

Here is the sketch from Merry Monday:

Here’s the card I made with a Fred She Said image (pre-colored) and Fred’s paper.  I did NOT color this image!  I like to buy pre-colored from Fred’s store but she also has uncolored images.  Here’s my card, you can click on it to make it larger:)

I love this card!  Even though it has traditional colors, I think it’s bright and cheerful! The image is Hat Tipping Snowman, you can find it in the FSS store under “cute characters”. I used two different papers, the stripe paper is from FSS-Christmas Papers 1-2009, it can be found in “paper packs”.  The green dot paper is form Christmas Poinsettia Pack-Red, it can be found under “Christmas”.

I used two different dies.  To cut the snowman, I used Spellbinders Lacey Circles.  To cut the red bow, I used a Memory Box die, Crisp Bows.  More info below in my supply list:)

Now for some exciting news!  Here are the details to be included in the Gift Certificate draw:

I love this image!  “Fred” has a number of images depicting her daughter “Emma”.  They’re all really cute!  The background papers are one of “Fred’s” freebies!  You can find it here🙂  I matched it with Stampin’ Up! Pacific Point. I can hardly wait to send it to someone special!

Friday Mashup Challenge #62

I found another challenge:) !  I was checking out Friday Mashup and found this sketch:

I didn’t use the sketch though, you don’t have to;)  The Mashup is a different kind of challenge.  Here are the rules:

  1. Make a project using ” the Sketch “.
  2. Or Make a project featuring ” Birds “.
  3. Or “Mash it Up” and create a ” project using the Sketch featuring Birds “.

I decided to make a card using “Birds”.  Here’s my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

I used all Stampin’ Up! products, except the beautiful bird image!  I did NOT color this image myself.  I got it pre-colored from Fred She Said. If you follow the link to FSS, you might notice that I have been invited to be a Design Team member!!!!:)  I am sooooo excited!!!!!  I love Fred She Said, and would use them regardless!!!  I have found them to fit very well with my Stampin’ Up! products:)

For this card I used a pattern pack, Night of Navy for the background.  I used Garden Green as my accent, and  the beautiful  Hummingbird & Columbine Pre-Coloured Set from Fred She Said. I flipped the image in Print Shop, I just liked it better for this card;)

All items used will be listed below in my supply list:)

Thanks for dropping by today:)  I hope you haven’t been overloaded with cards this past week.  I will be working on Merry Monday next:)  Have a great week!

Merry Monday #23

Some of you may be thinking I’m ahead, two cards in one day!  But no, I’m actually behind:(  It’s very late Friday night and I’m just now posting my Merry Monday card!  It’s actually been a very upsetting week here with lots of family drama:(  It’s so relaxing to just sit and make cards:)  I needed lots of  card “therapy, so…… two cards:)

Here is the Merry Monday sketch:

I LOVE this card!  I used one of my favorite images.  It’s from Print Shop!  Seriously, I have used this image for years on my return address labels!  Here is my card:

It was really pretty simple, lots of straight lines;) The image is straight out of the Print Shop gallery.  It’s actually been in a number of different versions, as I said, I’ve been using this image for years.  I don’t know why it never occurred to me to put it on a card.

I printed the image on my favorite paper, “photo project paper-matte” from Target. The paper I used, I bought at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago.  It was in a large 12/12 pad.  The plain grey in the front matches the grey with the snowflakes.  The snowflakes on the paper were white and I sponged Very Vanilla craft ink on top of them to match more with the image.

Please see the list below for the rest of the supplies I used:)

It’s after midnight so I need to wrap up and head to bed.  Thanks for dropping in today:)  I hope you enjoy both of my cards:) Be sure to pop over to Merry Monday to see what everyone else has done with this weeks sketch:)
