Collect a secret word on each blog along the way, leave us some love on our posts and follow the directions at the end of the hop for your chance to win this FABULOUS PRIZE!

Now for my second card. I will be entering this card in a challenge over at the Paper Players. First, here is the sketch #105:
You can click on my card to make it larger:
This is a brand new image from Fred She Said called Daisies & Ladybugs. If you’ve ever been here before, you know I follow the sketches pretty closely, and beyond that, I try to keep my cards Clean and Simple (CAS).   I could have added more, but I love it just the way it is:)  I hope you like it too and you’ll head over to the Fred She Said store and check out all the other images:)
I did NOT color this image myself!  As usual, I got the pre-colored images;)  Actually, this set includes BOTH the uncoloured and pre-coloured images, how great is that?!  I have a few more cards with this image in the works and will be posting them during the next week or so.  I hope you will come back and take a look:)
Thanks for coming by today, I know this was a pretty long post today!  I hope you will continue on with the Blog Hop and take your chance to win the great prizes! 🙂
I am soooooo tired:(  I hope you will forgive me if I come back when I wake up and add the supply list.

Freshly Made Sketches #45

Are you all ready to be overwhelmed with blog posts?  Starting today, this next week is going to be VERY busy!  I have this challenge today, tomorrow is a big Blog Hop over at Fred She Said, and next week there will be a number of cards posted for the monthly challenge over at World of Crafters.  There may be an extra few cards thrown in here and there for good measure;) lol

To begin, I have a card for the Freshly Made Challenge, this is #45.  Here is this weeks sketch:

Here is my card with a brand new image from Fred She Said, called Hibiscus, you can click on it to make it larger:

The papers and ribbon are Stampin’ Up!.  The image is, as I said, a brand new image from Fred She Said. I did NOT color it myself!  You can get it uncolored if you like, or get the pre-colored in 6 gorgeous colors! I just printed it out, fuzzy cut and popped it up with some SU Dimensionals.  The stamped sentiment is from my stash of “I can’t remember where I got it”, sorry:(

Once again, I am in a small rush to get this posted and set up for the Blog Hop tomorrow, I’m going to cheat on my supply list.  Anytime I don’t list something, you can always ask, I will be happy to answer:)

Thanks for taking the time to look through my post:)  I hope you can come back tomorrow for the Blog Hop!  There will be PRIZES! 🙂

Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge-Non-Traditional Colors

I am up very late Monday, or maybe it’s very early Tuesday, anyway…….I have lots of info to share!   I’ve made a card to show for the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge, AND to enter into the Merry Monday Challenge for July.

The Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge is being sponsored by Fred She Said.  You know I had to make a card to show:) Here are their Challenge rules for this week:

“This week, we would love to see a Christmas card made with NON-Traditional Colors! Time to step away from that green and red, and put some different colors into the Holiday!”

The second Challenge if for Merry Monday over at Always Playing With Paper.  This is the fourth week for the July Challenges.

I decided to use past sketch #2 from the Merry Monday Challenges, here it is:

Here is my card following the sketch and with Non-traditional colors:

I did NOT color this image myself!  This is a pre-colored image from Fred She Said, called Emma the Skating Elf.  She comes in 6 different colors, or you can get her uncolored, so you can chose your own colors:)  The paper is also Fred She Said, I got it from a set called Candle Glow Christmas Flower Set.  It may be hard to believe, but I actually used the blue paper, took it over to Photo Shop and changed the color to match the image.  I know, I surprise myself sometimes!  lol

The last bit of exciting news, is about the Fred She Said Blog Hop that will be happening this Friday, July 27th!  You’re all invited and there will be PRIZES!!  Check back here or go to the Fred She Said home page on Friday for all the details! 🙂  The theme will be Winged Things!  You know my cards are done already! 😉

Thanks for stopping by:)  I hope to see you again soon!  Because I am up very, way, late, I’m going to cheat on my supply list, shhhh, don’t tell.

Friday Mashup Challenge #68

I think it’s been a while since I’ve tried the Friday Mashup.  I popped over there last night and here is the sketch for the Friday Mashup Challenge #68:

Here are the rules:

So here is the “Mashup” Challenge:
  1. Make a project with “the Sketch.”
  2. Or Make a project w/ a “Lazy Summer Day theme (under the shade of a tree/ biking / Swimming / Sitting in an adirondack chair).”
  3. Or “Mash it Up” and create a project w/ the “Sketch & the Lazy Summer Day Theme.”

I decided to “Mash it Up” and used the sketch and the theme:)  Here’s my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

I did NOT color this image myself!  I like to use the pre-colored images from Fred She Said.  This image is called Emma Blowing Bubbles.  You can also get it uncolored;)   I thought it was a perfect image for the theme “Lazy Summer days”.  I also believe I did a good job at keeping it Clean and Simple.

I used Spellbinders Lacey Circle dies to cut the image.  The papers are Stampin’ Up!  The sentiment is a stamp from Stampendous, I’ve had it for quite a while.   All supplies will be listed below.

Thanks for coming by today:)  I hope you’ll stop by next Friday the 27th for a Fred She Said Blog Hop!  There will be prizes! 🙂

Merry Monday July Third week

I have two cards today for the Merry Monday Christmas challenge.  The challenge for July is to make a card each week with any past sketch.

I decided to use the Merry Monday sketch #25.  I really liked the card I made for that challenge. I also decided to make a similar card, just a little different.

Here’s the sketch I used:

Here’s the first card I’ve made, you can click on it to make it larger:

In my previous card, the paper I used turned out to be a little dark for the green Holly.  You can definitely see it here:)  I love the green leaves on white!  I also love how the red gems look:)  On this card, around the Cardinal, I used Stampin’ Up! Basic Pearls.  All supplies will be listed below.

Here’s the second:

On this card, I used white snowflakes on Stampin’ Up! Garden Green cardstock. The image for both cards is from Fred She Said, it’s called, Christmas Bird Series.  The series has the Cardinal, a Chickadee, and winter Robins.  I love this card layout, I think I will use it a few more times;)

Thanks for stopping by today!  I love having people enjoy my cards, I hope that includes you:)  Have a great weekend!

Freshly Made Sketches #43 with Mo Manning

A new week, another challenge:)  This card is for the Freshly Made Sketches, #43.  My image this week is from Mo Manning, at Mo’s Digital Pencil.  Believe it or not, I DID color this image myself! 🙂   Yes, I pulled out my Stampin’ Up! ink refill bottles and went to work with my Aqua Painter.  I’ll tell you how I did that in a minute;)  First, here is the sketch for this week:

My computer was down all day Tuesday:(  I had my image all colored and I had a different layout ready to work with….then my computer popped back on Wednesday and I found this sketch:)  This sketch worked much better for me, how lucky was that?  I wanted my image to be kinda big, so it wouldn’t be too difficult to color.  Yes, you all know by now I don’t color very well:(  As a matter of fact, Mo had this image colored as a sample, I just copied it, the colors I mean, not the card;)  I love the colors and they translate well into Stampin’ Up!  So here is my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

Isn’t it just the cutest Cheshire Cat?!  I only had to color about 8 images before I was satisfied!  Now onto how I did it.  I work on a glass mat for all my cardmaking.  I took a bottle of Melon Mambo and put 1 drop onto the glass mat.  I squeezed out some water from my Aqua Painter and mixed it up.  Full strength would be too dark!  I colored the Melon Mambo first and then the Pumpkin Pie. I did the branch last with Chocolate Chip the same way.  For the Wild Wasabi, I used a stamp pad and just tapped it a few times onto my mat and added water. It’s so simple:) And it all cleans up with a paper towel and a little more water;)

I tried to work carefully and slowly, but even still, I kept getting pink in the orange or the other way around:(  And the teeth, oh my, trying to keep the teeth from being Pumpkin Pie colored was difficult.  I had started with some smaller images and then just enlarged them. LOL  I know, it’s a simple image, but I’m very picky, that’s one of the reasons I don’t color often.

Sorry, I seem to be a bit chatty today:(  Anyway…..I will have a full list of supplies below.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card:)  I hope you all have a great week!

Two different cards and challenges

This first card is for the Come and Get it Challenge, please scroll down for the Merry Monday Challenge🙂

The Come and Get it Challenge is a color challenge.  The colors are, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Pool Party by Stampin’ Up!.  The Challenge is sponsored by Fred She Said. Here’s my card:

The image is pre-colored by Fred She Said, I did NOT color the image myself! It’s called Bearded Iris, and comes in 9 colors:)  I used Stampin’ Up!’s  individual stamp, En Francais for the background image.  All paper is by Stampin’ Up!  The sentiment can from a retired Hostess set called Happiest Birthday Wishes. It actually says “happy birthday dear you!”.  I only inked up the first part.  It was a tight fit into one of the new Framelits-Bitty Banners. I cut the shape first and then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the stamp where I wanted it. All supplies will be listed below.  This was a fun challenge, I don’t think I would have put these colors together myself;)

Next up is the Merry Monday challenge over at Always Playing with Paper. Their challenge for the month of July, is to use whatever past sketches we would like.

Last week I did the sketch from week 2.  This week I am doing the sketch from the very first week.  Those are the only two I missed so I am all caught up:)  Here is the very first sketch for Merry Monday 2012:

Here’s the card I made, you can click on any of my images to make them larger:

This was a fun card:)  I bought this stamp set from Stampin’ Up! a few years ago.  It’s called Frosty (retired). I just can’t sell it, I love the happy snowman!  The paper is all Stampin’ Up!  I used some small beads I found in my stash, and 3 generic gems.  For a simple card, I used a ton of different products, all listed below in my supply list:)

I hope you enjoyed both my cards today:)  Don’t be afraid of the supply list, you can use whatever you have to make  similar cards.  I don’t really do too many complicated cards, as a matter of fact, I try not to make any complicated cards;)  lol

Thanks for stopping in today:)  Have a great week!
