Freshly Made Sketches #238 & SAS4Kids

Wow, my mother warned me this would happen 😦  The older you get, the faster time goes!  Don’t you hate it when your mom is right! ?  No bad news, I’ve just been incredibly busy!  I’m sorry I’ve been away so long! 😦

First, I’ve made a card for Freshly Made Sketches #238. Almost all of my supplies for this card came from the Stampin’ Up! Spring Occasions catalog, ending May 31st.

11aSDC10339The background is Crisp Cantaloupe, the flower is Watermelon Wonder, with a black and white center. On top of the flower is a designer gem that I bought at Michaels 🙂  The flower and leaf came from the set Botanical Blooms, it was a bundle that came with a die set.  I didn’t get the set at first, but after a number of people sent in cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids with these elements, I had to get it!

The leaf is Mossy Meadow, as well as the sentiment background.  The sentiment came from a free Sale-A- Bration set called What I Love.  I added one of the Stampin’ Up! doilies, cut to fit 🙂  It’s hard to see, but on top of the background color, I added a layer of vellum from the Sale-A- Bration catalog that was free at the time, and layered the whole thing onto the new thick Whisper White cardstock.

I made this card for my grandson’s Pre-K teacher 🙂  She was wonderful, and my grandson really liked her, he had a great time in her class! 🙂

Now, because I am so far behind, I’m going to jump right into the Father’s Day cards! 🙂  Some of these cards came in during March!

First up is Janelle Klapperich 🙂  Janelle has sent in cards for SAS4Kids many times! 🙂

Janelle also uses a lot of Stampin’ Up! products!, she does a great job! 🙂  Janelle also sent in Mother’s Day cards using the Botanical Blooms set 🙂   Thank you, Janelle, for all your wonderful cards and support of our cause! 🙂

Brenda Zellner from WI is next, she is also a repeat sender! 🙂  Brenda sent in two sets of cards, one in March and one in April, I’m going to show you some of each set 🙂

Brenda sent these cards in and I told her how much I liked them, and she sent more! 🙂

I love the little puppies! 🙂

Thank you Brenda, these are all great cards that I know the kids will love sharing with their dads! 🙂

Next is Sandy Borsheim of MN 🙂  Sand sends in cards on a regular basis 🙂

Thank you Sandy for your wonderful cards! 🙂  The little kids cards will be great! 🙂

I really appreciate all the different styles of cards our card makers send! 🙂  There is truly “something for everyone”! 🙂  Thank you ladies, I will be sending out these cards at the end of next week!  I’m so grateful that you sent them in early, so I could get them sorted and into boxes sooner! 🙂

If you love looking at and getting inspiration from our cards, but don’t know about Send A Smile 4 Kids, please take a few minutes and check out our site 🙂  We also have a blog challenge where you can enter your cards, or just see what everyone else is doing! 🙂

Thanks for coming by today, and thank you all who have signed up to follow me! 🙂  I’m hoping to be back next week with some more Father’s Day cards! 🙂
