Freshly Made Sketches #306 & SAS4Kids

It’s the first day of Fall here in the Midwest and it hit 93 today!  I love Fall, but that’s a tad hot for me!  I hope it’s nicer where you are! 🙂  Today I have some cards of my own.  These cards are made for younger kids and are very simple!  I’m not kidding about this! 🙂  I wanted to share these cards because they are simple for one, and for two it gives an example of what I mean when I say “everyday sentiments with Fall themes”.

My first card is for Freshly Made Sketches #306.  Here is their sketch:

If you’ve been here before, you know I stick pretty close to the sketch 😉  I used an ESTY digital image and a sentiment by TLC.  All the papers are Stampin’ Up!  This card I made thinking of teen girls.  Life is tough for teens and being in the hospital is really tough!  Notice the Fall leaves embossing folder, the Fall leaves strip and the Fall colors 🙂

Next I have a card made for the challenge at our own Send A Smile 4 Kids blog, Fall colors for kids.

All of the cards I’m showing next are mine.  I have weird signatures and watermarks going on 😦  My Print Shop program decided to stop working and I had to do the best I could on my own, not a pretty sight, sorry 😦  But please pay attention to the sentiments and the “Fall themes”.

On the cowardly lion, the one on the left says “Have Courage”, the one on the right has a medal and says “You did it”.

I notice the sizes are all wonky too, I don’t know why, sorry again 😦

Next time I’ll be back with more cards from my SAS4Kids donors! 🙂  Cards are starting to come in for Fall and Halloween, I hope you’re getting excited, because I am! 🙂

Thanks for coming by today, I hope you enjoyed my cards, even though they are very simple and intended mostly for younger kids 😉  I hope to make some more teen cards soon 🙂

  1. Janet, your cards are all adorable! I love every one of them. Great idea to use the lion for have courage. I’ve been looking for weight lifters for “be strong” and I’ll have a couple in my next box! Big Hugs!

  2. What a nice thing to think of young people when you made these wonderful cards!

I really like your cards!!! They are so colorful! As I’m looking at them, I’m also thinking of what an inspiration they are, so perhaps I can make some cards in the similar style/card sketch! So, thanks very much!!!

  4. Beautiful cards and what a wonderful thing you are doing! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

Really cute cards, Janet!!! Love all the designs and how you incorporated the fall colors into each. Tfs! 🙂 ~ Andrea

  6. Your cards are all bright and cheery, Janet, and the kids won’t be able to keep back their smiles on receiving these. Great designs to use up all the scraps of papers that seem to accumulate. Thanks for sharing! Happy autumn to you, my friend.
