Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge #183

Welcome to another post featuring Christmas and Winter cards! 🙂  I’ve been so busy, I almost forgot to do this post!  This post will be kinda long, so I hope you’re all ready! 🙂

Christmas is an exciting time of year for our kids in hospitals!  Well, it’s exciting for us getting ready to ship them cards!  I know that I love to get cards to share with the kids and see what our generous donors have made to bring smiles to kids faces! 🙂

My husband came home from work late and let me know that it’s snowing outside, as I’m sure it is in many parts of the USA!  So here is my card to share to get things going:

It’s a Winter Birthday card! 🙂  I heard that some people don’t quite understand what “every day cards with Christmas, Winter themes” actually means.  Here is a great example, well, I think so anyway 😉

I used a 6×6 paper pad by Echo Park, called Celebrate Winter.  What fun colors and images they have in this paper pad! 🙂  And it’s a Birthday card! 🙂  I know you shouldn’t start a sentence with “and”,  sorry 😉

I used Stampin’ Up! Basic Black cardstock and sentiment.  I’m not sure which set it came out of because it’s in my “favorites” box that I use all the time.  Both papers came from the same paper pad, and there are other fun papers as well 🙂  No I don’t get paid to promote Echo Park, I just love their paper pads, and they work well with Stampin’ Up! cardstock! 🙂

Next I have some great cards from repeat donor, Lee Mae Elkins from WA.  I know you’ll enjoy her cards! 🙂  Click on them to see their sentiments 😉  Here are some Christmas/Winter Birthdays!

Every day cards with Christmas/Winter themes 🙂

Here are a couple of Blank/no sentiment, Christmas cards 🙂

Some Merry Christmas for those of you missing the “official” Christmas cards 😉

And finally, some “other than Merry Christmas” cards 🙂

Thank you Lee Mae for giving everyone something to love! 🙂  Great examples of almost every kind of Winter/Christmas card! 🙂

I’d like to thank all of my donors for their efforts this year to bring happy smiles to kids faces! 🙂

Thank you for stopping by! 🙂  I hope we’ve given you some inspiration to get through the holiday card making season! 🙂  I hope you’ll come join us again for more cards! 🙂

Please stop by Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge blog to see more cards, or enter your own! 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! 🙂

SAS4Kids, Happy Holidays or AG

Hello everyone! 🙂  Are you getting excited for Christmas or something like it?!  I’ve had a request from one of my hospitals for more generic sentiments instead of “Merry Christmas”.  I didn’t pick the title, but it reminded me that some people don’t celebrate Christmas.  Feel free to send in cards with different sentiments like: Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings, Holiday Wishes.  There are lots to choose from lately, but you can also make “Christmas” cards and leave the sentiment off 😉

I have my own card to share that you can find over on the SAS4Kids blog 🙂  Check it out for other cards with inspiration! 🙂  Here is my card:

I used the same paper pad as last week, “Sugarblush”, by Recollections, from Michaels.  The black with snowflakes was printed off my computer, as well as the sentiment.  I thought pink would be fun for the kids 🙂

Now I have a guest this week, Debbie Caldwell from MI 🙂  Debbie is a repeat sender and she’s made some great cards for the kids that are Post Office friendly for the kids to share with their family or friends 🙂

Debbie has used some great papers, a lot are the same with different layouts 🙂  She used some great layouts more than once as well 🙂  These cards all still look different and will not all go to the same hospital, so these are great choices! 🙂  These are more Winter cards than Christmas, but she also sent Christmas that I will share another week 🙂

Thank you Debbie for sharing these wonderful cards with our kids in the hospital! 🙂  I know these cards will be loved! 🙂

Thank you to all my card makers for sharing their talents! 🙂  Your cards bring lots of smiles to our kids! 🙂

If you’re just stopping by for some inspiration, I hope you found some! 🙂  We are happy to share what we do for kids in the hospital to help cheer them and make them smile! 🙂 We have volunteers in a number of states, we would be happy to accept your donation of cards, if you would like to share 🙂  We appreciate A2 cards as they are easier to mail.  You can contact any of our volunteers on our contact page and see if the size cards you make would be acceptable 🙂

If you already make and donate cards, I’m pretty sure you’ve had this conversation with your volunteer 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ll visit again! 🙂
