Ok, I think it’s been 2 weeks and here I am! 🙂 I’m so glad you’re stopping by! 🙂 The first thing I want to remind everyone is about the upcoming Blog Hop! 🙂
Category Archives: Boys-men
Ok, you caught me, I wasn’t ready yesterday, but I rushed this morning and got some cards together 🙂 My card was posted on SAS4kids this morning, I totally forgot 😦 But now I’m fully awake and ready to share! 🙂 My card is in the Design Team section at the top. Here it is:
Because my card is already posted on the SAS4Kids blog, I’ve already been asked about my supplies. For the background layer I used Real Red from Stampin’ Up!, I also used Pacific Point for behind my image. The game paper is from Etsy, BearsDenDigitalArts. My image is pre-colored from Mo’s Digital Pencil. There are also 3 different versions that are uncolored, if you scroll down the page. I also have the uncolored image, but I’m not very good at coloring 😉
Now, I actually only have one guest today, Trish Cudney of MN. Trish has been sending cards for SAS4Kids, for quite some time 🙂 Pay attention to her use of “boy” images and cards with no images 🙂 You can click on the images to make them larger 🙂
Trish used great papers, images and layouts! 🙂 Thank you Trish for sharing with our kids here at Send A Smile 4 Kids! 🙂 Our volunteers couldn’t do their job without people like you! 🙂
Thank you for coming by today, whether you are part of SAS4Kids or not, I’m thankful for your interest in my blog! 🙂
I should be back July 7th, for a new blog 🙂 Don’t forget our big blog hop in July! 🙂
175th Challenge Celebration Coming!
OMGoodness, I can’t believe I haven’t been here since March, I’m so sorry!! There is never a dull moment around here!! School is out for the Summer and my grandson is home with me all day 🙂 He turned 7 in May, and he asks lots of questions! lol I also have four of my granddaughters right down the street, and I had my grandson’s half sister here for 5 weeks, from the end of March. Okay, I remember, I didn’t get much done while she was here, she just turned 4 in April! lol
I joined the design team at Send A Smile 4 kids, and I will attempt to post a blog twice a month. I’ll try really hard, honest 🙂 I have a card I made for this weeks challenge at SAS4Kids, and I’ll show you in case you missed it 🙂 You can also go other there and check out the other cards! 🙂 Here’s my card:
For this card, I used a paper package by the loose paper at Michaels. It was intended for scrapbooking, but I cut the papers all down and made a number of cards, some you may see later 😉 I used Stampin’ Up! Real Red for my base and banner. I used a stamp from my stash, the printed paper and the stickers came in the package. I really like how it came out, I think it will be great for a teen or pre-teen. I’m thinking boy, but who knows 🙂 I guess there are more female super heroes now, but I can only think of two at the moment.
Okay, on we go, I have two guests for you today, the first guest is Barbara Suits of CO. Barbara makes awesome shaped cards! Barbara does not claim that she designed any of these cards, she just made them for our kids 🙂
Next I have a donor who sent cards about a year ago and I didn’t hear from her for a while. Here are the newest cards sent to me for our kids from Paula Kysilka of FL 🙂
There have been some changes on my blog site since the last time I posted and it seems I can’t post as many cards as I used to 😦 Please know that I love and appreciate all the cards I receive for our kids, I just don’t have room for them all!
I’d like to thank all of my card donors for the love and care they put into the cards they make for our kids! 🙂 Without you we would have very little to share! 🙂
Thank you all for coming by today whether you are part of our group or just searching for inspiration! 🙂 I appreciate your interest whoever you are! 🙂 Hopefully I’ll be back in two weeks, see you then! 🙂
I am so sorry that I have been so slow in posting! 😦 I’m going to try and post at least twice a month 🙂 I’m going to be joining the SAS4Kids Design Team in May, 2018 🙂 Hopefully that will keep me on track with twice a month 🙂
I’m going to be entering this card into the SAS4Kids challenge, Anything Goes/Cards for Boys. Here is my card for boys:
This card was made with a stamp from Stampin’ Up! called Magical Day. I used a sentiment from my stash and digital paper that I found on Esty. The circles are both dies from Stampin’ Up! This card was fun and easy, I’m hoping a boy at one of our hospitals will really like it! 🙂
Now on to some guests! 🙂 First I have Janelle Klapperich of SD with Mother’s Day and Father’s Day cards! 🙂
Thank you Janelle, for these wonderful cards! 🙂 I love how you made Mother’s Day cards with only sentiments and beautiful papers! 🙂 Your Father’s Day cards are simple but effective 🙂 A wonderful section of each! 🙂 I’m assuming you will send more Father’s Day cards 😉
Next is Diane Herniman from Canada 🙂 Diane and Janelle are both repeat senders and I appreciate their continued support of our kids! 🙂
Diane always finds such wonderful papers! 🙂 Her cards are also very unique 🙂 Thank you Diane for these beautiful cards for Mother’s Day, I’m sure our kids will love sharing them with their moms! 🙂
I am so thankful for those of you who support our cause! 🙂 I’m also thankful for those just coming by to look and get some inspiration! 🙂 Please visit again and hopefully I will be making more posts per month! 🙂
Thanks for waiting for me to bring you a new post, I’m very thankful ! 🙂 I’m also very thankful that even though Hurricane Harvey was beyond belief, so many good people have come to help and save lives!
I have some info to share from Sandy Allnock, that a lot of you remember from Operation Write Home. I will have a card to share, and then I’ll post the info.
I do have a card to share that goes along with Sandy’s info. I sat down as soon as I read her blog and made a card to thank local Hero’s in Houston. I will post it on Freshly Made Sketches #303 so hopefully it gets lots of views! Here is the sketch this week:
Here is the first card that I will be sending down to Houston or Beaumont, TX:
I used all Stampin’ Up! papers and stamps for this card. I bought the stamp set, Fire Brigade off Ebay several months ago. I’ve been watching the set for a couple of years, it’s always been too expensive to buy! One day, I saw the set for $22.00 and of course, I bought it right away! When I received the set I noticed it was sent from a small town near my home. I didn’t really have a plan for it at the time, but I knew I would need it. So here it is, I think it’s perfect! There are several other stamps in the set that I plan to use also! I wish I had a Policeman set, maybe someone out there has one and can send cards as well 🙂
I plan on posting a second blog post this week to show off some of the cards I have received for our Send A Smile 4 Kid’s Children’s Hospitals. I’ve also sent a message to a Children’s Hospital in TX to see if they would like cards for their kids 🙂
Please read this info from Sandy and see if there’s some way you can help 🙂
Thank you for stopping by today, I really appreciate everyone who is following or just passing by! 🙂 I hope you can visit again! 🙂
It’s been busy around here but I found time to make a card! 🙂 I’m glad you could join us for some inspiration! 🙂 I’m back with another card for Freshly Made Sketchs #295. Here is their sketch for this week.
Here is my card for this week 🙂
Yes, another card for the kids we serve at Send A Smile 4 Kids 🙂 I used an adorable pre-colored digi from Fred She Said called “Emma in the Leaves Coloured“. You can also get it uncolored in the section named Autumn. I used Stampin’ Up! Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, and Crushed Curry. I also used the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. Included in the set are circles, squares and ovals. I do have some buttons shaped like leaves, but couldn’t find them, so I used some foiled leave that I found in my stash 🙂
I like having Seasonal cards with different sentiments for the kids. There’s more going on in every Season besides a holiday or Birthday! 😉 You can add encouraging words, general sentiments, as well as Happy Fall, Happy Halloween,Merry Christmas, etc.
I have guest cards today to share, I know everyone likes to see what everyone else is making! 🙂 First I have Jill Blasche of TX 🙂 Jill makes and sends in lots of cards! 🙂
Thank you Jill for this wide variety of wonderful cards! 🙂 Jill sent multiples of most of these cards! 🙂 A lot of cards for our Peds ICU!
Next I have Vicki Luebke of IN 🙂 Vicki also sends lots of cards and specializes in sending Encouragement cards! 🙂 Not sure what to send as an Encouragement card? Look at some of these sentiments 🙂
The little boy with the frog is also Fred She Said, it’s called “Nolan & The Bullfrog“. Thank you Vicki for these great cards for our boys and girls! 🙂
Lastly I have cards from Dr. Robin Hayworth of NY 🙂 Robyn has sent many cards 🙂
Robin doesn’t just send to me, I’ve seen thank yous on our gratitude page. Robin is sending to several of our volunteers! 🙂 Thank you Robin for your dedication to our kids, with your beautiful cards! 🙂
Lots of variety today for just about everyone! 🙂 I’d like to thank, not just these three ladies, but all of my donors for their wonderful cards and their inspiration to me! 🙂
If you come by just to visit, I’m thankful for your interest! 🙂 It’s easy to be a donor if you’d like to give it a try, please visit here, and then check out our other links at the top of the page 🙂
Thank you all for coming by! 🙂 I hope to see you again soon! 🙂
Welcome back! 🙂 I’ve been making cards again! 🙂 I love all the sunshine we’ve been getting, it makes me so happy! 🙂 It also gives me a lot of energy! 🙂 My grandson has been allowing me to make some cards by being really good! 🙂
I made and will enter into the Freshly Made Sketches challenge #292, a fun Summer card, I hope you like it! 🙂 Here’s the sketch:
I used Stampin’ Up! papers, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzaz, and a retired DSP. Isn’t he so cute! ? Reminded me of my grandson:) That’s not the only cute card I made, here are a few more:
Some of my images and papers are also from Clipartland, also on Etsy. I had lots of fun making these simple layouts with the cute images! 🙂 I also used more cardstock from Stampin’ Up!, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, and Pacific Point. The printed papers came from Etsy on one of the sites already given above.
I don’t think we have enough African American images on our cards 😦 I was thrilled to find some cute ones on Etsy! 🙂 Although I have to say, it’s disappointing to just find “white” kids colored “brown”. At least these images have ethnic hair.
I’m having trouble finding teen boy or girl images, if anyone knows a source, please let me know! A lot of our “kids” are teens.
I haven’t gotten a lot of Summer cards, that’s one of the reasons I decided to make some. I made quite a few of these cards 😉 I did just this Saturday get a package from Janelle Klapperich of SD 🙂 Here are some of her cards:
On the left are two cards. On the right is the inside of the blue “hat” card. Not a great photo, but I believe you can tell one of the balloons is popping out 🙂
Janelle let me keep one of the jellyfish cards for my grandson, she is so sweet! 🙂 He loves jellyfish and put this card in a place of honor so he can see it every day! 🙂
I love all of these cards, fun and colorful, sure to bring smiles to lots of faces! 🙂 Thank you so much Janelle for sending them in! 🙂
I hope everyone is enjoying their Summer so far! 🙂 I want to thank everyone who makes and sends in cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids! 🙂 Be sure to check out our blog! 🙂 The current challenge is “For the boys“, and I will also post my card there 🙂 You can join the fun too! 🙂
Thank you all for coming by! 🙂 I appreciate your interest, even if you don’t send in cards! 🙂 I hope you all have found some inspiration! 🙂 Hope to see you all again soon! 🙂
