SAS4Kids #187 cards 4 boys

I can hardly believe it’s been a month since I was last here!Ā  I had planned on at least one more post in February, but I was sick šŸ˜¦Ā  Thankfully I’m much better now, just in time for the monthly SAS4kids post! šŸ™‚

I’m glad you’re here and hope you enjoy the inspiration I have to share with you today šŸ™‚Ā  My card is a “boy” card, I know a lot of you have trouble with boy cards, I do too.Ā  But this card actually came together pretty quickly šŸ™‚

My Project

This card is using Stampin’ Up! stamp set Enjoy Life, all the images are silhouettes.Ā  The sentiment is also from the set.Ā  For the background I used a free image from Fred She Said Designs. Go here and scroll down below the bride, you will see I asked for this stand alone background, and Tracey graciously supplied it for free! šŸ™‚Ā  I resized it on my Print Shop program and I think it works great for this card! šŸ™‚Ā  It’s so easy to put together, I think I will make some cards for all of my hospitals! šŸ™‚

I received some cards from a brand new (to me) donor šŸ™‚Ā  Her name is Jaydee and to visit her blog you can go here, Stampin! with Jaydee.Ā  Jaydee sent about 240 cards!Ā  It was almost impossible to decide what to share!Ā  Some of the cards were duplicates, but there were plenty of cards for me to choose from! šŸ™‚

OMGoodness, thank you so much Jaydee! šŸ™‚Ā  There are so many more, please visit her blog above the cards šŸ™‚Ā  These cards will be shared with 4 different hospitals in IL & IN! šŸ™‚

While I’ve been sick, I received a several more boxes that haven’t been gone through yet as I didn’t want to touch the cards while I had germs!Ā  I will be sharing more cards from other donors soon! šŸ™‚

Thanks for coming by today, I appreciate your interest in Send A Smile 4 Kids and the inspiration our donors share with our kids! šŸ™‚

I am a Stampin’ Up! Demo, so I do receive monies from products I sell.Ā  I do not receive any compensation for any products I showcase on my blog from anyone.

SAS4Kids- Easter

Welcome back! šŸ™‚Ā  I had intended to post another blog entry this month, and the month just flew by too fast, sorry šŸ˜¦Ā  But here I am, and today, I have a card to share for kids with Send A Smile 4 Kids! šŸ™‚

aSDC12747

I saw a card on Pinterest with these eggs by PaperTrey Ink and I thought they were adorable! šŸ™‚Ā  The green paper is Stampin’ Up! and the Happy Easter die is from Memory Box.Ā  It was fun to put together with Stampin’ Up! inks šŸ™‚

I have a couple of guests cards today šŸ™‚Ā  Please enjoy the Winter cards made by Trish Cudney of MN, where it’s still Winter as well as in IL!

DSC01252

Here are two cards showing what I mean by Seasonal, everyday cards šŸ™‚Ā  Happy Birthday and a miss you card.Ā  Nice winter themes and paper, but with everyday sentiments šŸ™‚

I love blue Winter cards, it’s my favorite color! šŸ™‚Ā  You can click on them to make them larger.Ā  Winter themes with no sentiment can be used for any occasion! šŸ™‚

DSC01253

Thank you Trish for these wonderful cards! šŸ™‚Ā  The kids will still be able to enjoy them during the deep freeze here in IL&IN! šŸ™‚

Now I have some more Easter cards, this time from Vicki Luebke of IN šŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Thank you Vicki, for these super fun, colorful and cheerful cards! šŸ™‚

I would like to thank all of my donors for their continued support of our SAS4K, kids! šŸ™‚Ā  You help bring cheer to our kids all year long, and I know they will have large smiles on their faces when receiving these cards and all the cards sent in so far this year! šŸ™‚

If you’re not a donor, that’s fine with us, we hope you enjoy our inspiration and hope you might join us at some point! šŸ™‚

Thank you all for stopping by, I’m thankful for your interest! šŸ™‚Ā  I really do plan on having another post around the 15th of the month šŸ™‚Ā  If you sign up to follow me, you’ll receive my post in your email šŸ™‚

Send A Smile 4 Kids Valentines

Yes, SAS4Kids has been off for the month December.Ā  I meant to come on anyway and show some cards, but you know how that goes during the holidays šŸ˜‰

Going forward with the SAS4Kids challenge blog, it’s been decided that there will be only one challenge posted on the first Saturday of each month.Ā  That will give people a whole month to join in the challenge! šŸ™‚

SAS4Kids will continue to do our “work” of sending or delivering cards to Children’s Hospitals! šŸ™‚Ā  We still have awesome volunteers ready to accept your cards for the kids! šŸ™‚

I will still try to post twice a month, or maybe 3 times, depends on what’s going on šŸ˜‰Ā  I haven’t been receiving as many cards as in previous years, I hope we aren’t wearing you out! šŸ˜¦

I have a Valentine card for you today šŸ™‚Ā  I’ve been trying to make more “boy” cards šŸ™‚Ā  I never seem to get enough “boy” cards šŸ˜¦Ā  So here is what I made for Valentine’s Day šŸ™‚

DSC01139

This card is on Stampin’ Up! Real Red, with Basic Black, and I used my Stampin’ Up! dies to cut the image.Ā  The image is from Etsy, at a store called TeaBreakArt. I found it listed under SVG files, but it also comes with a PNG image that’s great for cards šŸ™‚Ā  The white heart paper came from my stash, could be Stampin’ Up! but it would be discontinued, sorry šŸ˜¦Ā  I hope a boy will enjoy this card, but I guess girls might like it too šŸ˜‰

Here are some cards from Sandra Borsheim of MN šŸ™‚Ā  I may have shown the next three shares on our FB page, but it’s all I’ve gotten so far.

Some cards from Ruby Haugen of MN šŸ™‚

And finally, some cards from Donna Wakefield of IN šŸ™‚

DSC01109

Thank you ladies for sharing your wonderful cards with us and our kids! šŸ™‚Ā  You are all so generous and talented! šŸ™‚

This may seem like a lot of Valentine cards, but I assure you, I will need more! šŸ˜‰Ā  I have 4 hospitals and they all receive Valentine cards šŸ™‚

Thank you all for stopping by, I appreciate your interest whether you make cards for SAS4Kids or you just come for some inspiration! šŸ™‚Ā  I hope to be back soon with more cards šŸ™‚Ā  If you follow my blog, you will get an update whenever I post one šŸ™‚

I wish you all a very Happy New Year!! šŸ™‚

Winter cards for SAS4Kids #184

Welcome friends! šŸ™‚Ā  Here is another card for Send A Smile 4 Kids blog challenge šŸ™‚Ā  I also have a repeat guest today to share her cards with you! šŸ™‚Ā  Here is my card :

aDSC01031

My guest will be following, but I wanted to give her credit for CASEing her card.Ā  It can be found here.Ā  Scroll down until you find Trish Cudney.Ā  There you will find a card very similar to mine šŸ™‚Ā  Thanks Trish, you may have also CASEd your card, but I still think it’s a great! šŸ™‚Ā  Trish’s card is from last year, 2017.

For this card I used Cabin Fever, by Carta Bella.Ā  If you can’t find the actual printedĀ  product, you can find it here, in digital form, from SnapClickSupply, at the bottom of the page šŸ™‚Ā  I also used Stampin’ Up! Chocolate Chip and Soft Suede cardstock.

Now for some of Trish Cudney’s newest cards šŸ™‚

These cards have the same image and different layouts and papers! šŸ™‚

On the left are two cards with the same layout, but different images and papers šŸ™‚

Most of Trish’s cards have now sentiments, great examples of making Christmas/Winter cards with no sentiment, they can be used for anything! šŸ™‚Ā  Thank you Trish for these wonderful cards! šŸ™‚

Check out our FB page, I’ve just uploaded some new card photos! šŸ™‚

Thank you for coming by today, I hope you’ve enjoyed our cards! šŸ™‚Ā  I appreciate your interest whether you share cards with us or you’re just stopping by for a visit! šŸ™‚Ā  I hope you come by again soon! šŸ™‚

Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge #183

Welcome to another post featuring Christmas and Winter cards! šŸ™‚Ā  I’ve been so busy, I almost forgot to do this post!Ā  This post will be kinda long, so I hope you’re all ready! šŸ™‚

Christmas is an exciting time of year for our kids in hospitals!Ā  Well, it’s exciting for us getting ready to ship them cards!Ā  I know that I love to get cards to share with the kids and see what our generous donors have made to bring smiles to kids faces! šŸ™‚

My husband came home from work late and let me know that it’s snowing outside, as I’m sure it is in many parts of the USA!Ā  So here is my card to share to get things going:

aDSC00886

It’s a Winter Birthday card! šŸ™‚Ā  I heard that some people don’t quite understand what “every day cards with Christmas, Winter themes” actually means.Ā  Here is a great example, well, I think so anyway šŸ˜‰

I used a 6×6 paper pad by Echo Park, called Celebrate Winter.Ā  What fun colors and images they have in this paper pad! šŸ™‚Ā  And it’s a Birthday card! šŸ™‚Ā  I know you shouldn’t start a sentence with “and”,Ā  sorry šŸ˜‰

I used Stampin’ Up! Basic Black cardstock and sentiment.Ā  I’m not sure which set it came out of because it’s in my “favorites” box that I use all the time.Ā  Both papers came from the same paper pad, and there are other fun papers as well šŸ™‚Ā  No I don’t get paid to promote Echo Park, I just love their paper pads, and they work well with Stampin’ Up! cardstock! šŸ™‚

Next I have some great cards from repeat donor, Lee Mae Elkins from WA.Ā  I know you’ll enjoy her cards! šŸ™‚Ā  Click on them to see their sentiments šŸ˜‰Ā  Here are some Christmas/Winter Birthdays!

Every day cards with Christmas/Winter themes šŸ™‚

Here are a couple of Blank/no sentiment, Christmas cards šŸ™‚

Some Merry Christmas for those of you missing the “official” Christmas cards šŸ˜‰

And finally, some “other than Merry Christmas” cards šŸ™‚

Thank you Lee Mae for giving everyone something to love! šŸ™‚Ā  Great examples of almost every kind of Winter/Christmas card! šŸ™‚

I’d like to thank all of my donors for their efforts this year to bring happy smiles to kids faces! šŸ™‚

Thank you for stopping by! šŸ™‚Ā  I hope we’ve given you some inspiration to get through the holiday card making season! šŸ™‚Ā  I hope you’ll come join us again for more cards! šŸ™‚

Please stop by Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge blog to see more cards, or enter your own! šŸ™‚

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! šŸ™‚

SAS4Kids, Happy Holidays or AG

Hello everyone! šŸ™‚Ā  Are you getting excited for Christmas or something like it?!Ā  I’ve had a request from one of my hospitals for more generic sentiments instead of “Merry Christmas”.Ā  I didn’t pick the title, but it reminded me that some people don’t celebrate Christmas.Ā  Feel free to send in cards with different sentiments like: Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings, Holiday Wishes.Ā  There are lots to choose from lately, but you can also make “Christmas” cards and leave the sentiment off šŸ˜‰

I have my own card to share that you can find over on the SAS4Kids blog šŸ™‚Ā  Check it out for other cards with inspiration! šŸ™‚Ā  Here is my card:

DSC00871

I used the same paper pad as last week, “Sugarblush”, by Recollections, from Michaels.Ā  The black with snowflakes was printed off my computer, as well as the sentiment.Ā  I thought pink would be fun for the kids šŸ™‚

Now I have a guest this week, Debbie Caldwell from MI šŸ™‚Ā  Debbie is a repeat sender and she’s made some great cards for the kids that are Post Office friendly for the kids to share with their family or friends šŸ™‚

Debbie has used some great papers, a lot are the same with different layouts šŸ™‚Ā  She used some great layouts more than once as well šŸ™‚Ā  These cards all still look different and will not all go to the same hospital, so these are great choices! šŸ™‚Ā  These are more Winter cards than Christmas, but she also sent Christmas that I will share another week šŸ™‚

Thank you Debbie for sharing these wonderful cards with our kids in the hospital! šŸ™‚Ā  I know these cards will be loved! šŸ™‚

Thank you to all my card makers for sharing their talents! šŸ™‚Ā  Your cards bring lots of smiles to our kids! šŸ™‚

If you’re just stopping by for some inspiration, I hope you found some! šŸ™‚Ā  We are happy to share what we do for kids in the hospital to help cheer them and make them smile! šŸ™‚ We have volunteers in a number of states, we would be happy to accept your donation of cards, if you would like to share šŸ™‚Ā  We appreciate A2 cards as they are easier to mail.Ā  You can contact any of our volunteers on our contact page and see if the size cards you make would be acceptable šŸ™‚

If you already make and donate cards, I’m pretty sure you’ve had this conversation with your volunteer šŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ll visit again! šŸ™‚

SAS4Kids with Fall or Holiday Wishes

Hello everyone! šŸ™‚Ā  What a beautiful day it is here where I live, lots of sunshine! šŸ™‚Ā  I have a short post for you today.Ā  I haven’t been getting very many cards yet, so I have a few I’ve made šŸ™‚Ā  They’re general sentiments with a Fall and Winter themes šŸ™‚

First, here is my card for today’s Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge šŸ™‚

a1DSC00804

For my card, I used Stampin’ Up! cardstock, the pumpkin paper is from Carta Bella, Hello Fall.Ā  The pumpkin image is from Etsy, I added the “Happy Birthday” with a digital file.Ā  The pumpkin embossing folder is from Cuttlebug, and I used a Stampin’ Up! die to cut out the Happy Birthday pumpkin šŸ™‚

I love this card, a great example of Fall theme with a general sentiment! šŸ™‚Ā  I have a couple more for you šŸ™‚

aDSC00836

This card info is below, except I used Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock on this one.

aDSC00834

For both of these cards I used Echo Park, Celebrate Winter šŸ™‚Ā  All of my paper pads are 6×6, I think the graphics are just the right size for cards šŸ™‚Ā  Although I did buy the 12×12 solid paper pack.

I love the sentiments on both of these cards!Ā  You may be surprised where I got the Celebrate Winter sentiment.

DSC00825

I cut it off the bottom of one of the solid 12×12 sheets, it runs across the bottom of the card stock!Ā  I’ve probably seen it before, but it never occurred to me, that I could use it as a sentiment! Ā  I don’t usually get the solid paper packs because Stampin’ Up! has such great colors, they match almost everything! šŸ™‚Ā  I did use Stampin’ Up! Real Red for behind the sentiment šŸ˜‰

DSC00826

I hope you enjoyed my cards šŸ™‚Ā  Hopefully I’ll start getting some Winter and Christmas cards in so I can share them with you! šŸ™‚

Thank you to everyone who donates cards to our cause, Send A Smile 4 Kids, we couldn’t do this without you! šŸ™‚

If you’re just stopping by, I hope you’ve gotten some inspiration from my cards today šŸ™‚Ā  The holidays aren’t the only thing going on in any given month!Ā  Kids still need general cards to fill in šŸ™‚Ā  I’ll be having more Winter and Christmas cards to share soon, I hope you’ll come back! šŸ™‚
