Merry Monday #175 & SAS4Kids

I got another card done, only took me three days! lolย  With all that goes on here, it’s a wonder I ever get a card done!ย  I’m actually working 3 different cards that are kind of the same, only not, if you know what I mean;)ย  Anyway….I did finish one of them and I thought I would enter it in the challenge over at Merry Monday #175, and it’s done before the last day, yay! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Here is their challenge for this week:

Merry Monday #175aSDC17953Hmmm, now that I’m looking at it here, it looks like I followed the photo almost like a sketch.ย  That’s really strange, because the other cards I’m working on are totally different.ย  I chose this one because my granddaughters voted, they liked the plaid moose ๐Ÿ˜‰ lolย  I did too, it was not intentional on my part:)

I used two different digital images from Esty.ย  The background which is the trees with the tan color, and the plaid moose.ย  I added a small “snow” covering at the bottom from just some torn cardstock.ย  That layer was added to a Stampin’ Up! Real Red that was embossed with the Stampin’ Up! Tulip Embossing Folder.ย  Finally I put the whole thing onto a white card base.ย  I think it looks even better in hand;)ย  This card will be going into a box for Send A Smile 4 Kids, as will all the cards I showcase today! ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, that means I have a guest today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Janelle Klapperich is from SD, she has sent many cards before to be shared with our kids at SAS4Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I believe Janelle has told me before what cutting machine she is using, but today, I can’t remember:(ย ย  I guess I should have written it down, maybe she’ll let us know:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAOMGoodness, I have seen so many cute cards since volunteering for SAS4Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERALook how adorable these are, the kids are going to love all of these! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAJanelle has used great papers with her cute images!ย  These trees are gorgeous for and older child or a parent! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI will have more of Janelle’s Christmas cards in a later post.ย  I thought I would show these two Fall cards to end with.ย  These are both just beautiful!ย  I love the papers, sentiments and the beautiful leaf embellishments!ย  I will still be sending out Fall and Thanksgiving cards for a while ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thank you Janelle for your wonderful cards and for thinking of our kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

Send A Smile 4 Kids has it’s own challenge blog that you can visit here for more ideas, or add your own card for a chance to win a prize! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for coming by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I hope you’ve enjoyed the cards and will come back soon to see more! ๐Ÿ™‚

Merry Monday #170 and SAS4Kids

I’m back with one of my own cards and a guest cardmaker who sends cards to me for Send A Smile 4 Kids๐Ÿ™‚ย  My card is going to be entered into the challenge over at Merry Monday #170 ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I think I’m even early this time because it’s a two week challenge for Sept. ๐Ÿ™‚ย  This challenge is to use Holly on your card.

aSDC17419For my card, I used a beautiful image from Fred She Said called, Poinsettia & Holly Pre-Coloured Set. It comes with red flowers or white, and a number of different versions:)ย  I used Stampin’ Up! products to finish off my card.ย  Real Red cardstock for my base, Hand-Penned Holidays (retired) stamp set, Dazzling Details on the flower centers, and Crystal Effects on the berries to give it some depth and shine:)ย  I finished my card with the gold embossed sentiment.ย  Yes, I still use a Stamp-a-ma-jig;)

aSDC17421Here’s a closer look, the flower centers are sparlky, it’s hard to tell about the berries, but it’s easy to see in hand:)ย  This card will be going into a box for SAS4Kids because we try to send enough cards at Christmas for the kids to give cards to their parents or caregivers:)

Now for my guest I have Janelle Klapperich:)ย  I’ve shown cards by Janelle before, she has great cards with lots of different designs:)ย  Today I have some misc. cards and some Halloween.

Aren’t these cute?!ย  I know, I say that all the time, but I just love kids cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I’m sure these are made with a cutting machine, but I don’t know which one, maybe Janelle will let us know:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERATwo cards that I know were made with Stampin’ Up! products!ย  Work of Art stamp set, and Wetlands stamp set.ย  I love the colors Janelle used! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAMore Stampin’ Up! products:)ย  Just changing out a little and making them different:)

I love all the Fall colors and papers!ย  Janelle has great matching skills! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThese little ghosts are so cute, they are on some kind of spring thingy (technical term), and they wobble! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  The kids are going to love these! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAnother great example of changing it a little to make it different! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Look at that awesome spider web on the right card, that’s a new Stampin’ Up! product from the Holiday catalog! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  You can see it on the right sidebar near the top:)

Thank you Janelle for making all these wonderful cards for our kids! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I will be entering one of Janelle’s cards into the challenge over at Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog:)ย  Until Sat. it’s Anything Goes, then it will be Cute Fall/Halloween 4 Kids, come by and add your card!

Also big news, sorry to bring it to you so late:(ย  Fred She Said is having a big Birthday sale!ย  It ends Sept. 4th, so run over there today! ๐Ÿ™‚

For email orders, add the code to the text of your email order request. Online orders – there will be a place to apply the code when you checkout.

Thanks for coming by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  As always, questions or comments are welcome! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Hope to see you again soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

Merry Monday #169, SAS4Kids & Stampin’ Up! sneak peek

OMGoodness, it feels like forever since I made a post! ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  I have been so busy with school starting and everything that goes with it!ย  But, today, I have a card I made, and a guest! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  So we’ll get right down to business! ๐Ÿ™‚

I made my card for Merry Monday #169.ย  The challenge is to use Light Green, Dark Green and Red:)ย  I will also enter it into the challenge blog over at Send A Smile 4 Kids, which this week is “Anything Goes”๐Ÿ™‚

169My card is using some brand new products from Stampin’ Up! that will be available Sept. 1, 2015! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  If you would be interested the new catalog or any of the products you see here, please email me at

abSDC17305This card is made with the new Jingle All the Way stamp set and the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I bought them as a bundle and saved 15%! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  The Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies, also come with, as you might guess, another die with a horse and sleigh.ย  I actually combined two different edgelits on one line for my card.ย  I also used a new Embossing Folder called Softly Falling.ย  The sentiment is from the Jingle All the Way stamp set, and yes, it’s curved:)

I used the little house edgelet on the left and cut it from Whisper White, then I colored it with my Stampin’ Write Real Red Marker.ย  On the right, I used the tree edgelit and cut the trees from Garden Green.ย  I just cut the trees and a small extra piece that I used to glue my trees to the house card stock.ย  I topped it off with some Stampin’ Up! Lucky Limeade Baker’s Twine (retired).ย  I’m very please with how this turned out! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I actually got the idea for this card from the new Holiday Catalog;)ย  You can find the stamp set and the dies on page 12 of the new catalog:)ย  The embossing folder is on the top left of page 24:)

Is it Halloween yet?ย  Well, you’re going to think so when you see the next cards by my guest, Karen Peterson! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Karen is from NE and she has used some card kits from Paper Wishes.ย  I don’t know anything about Paper Wishes, except that Karen sends in some really great cards for our kids at Send A Smile 4 Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

Isn’t this a great card?!ย  The top photo is the front with the card closed, then I took a photo of the side view open.ย  Finally I took a photo of the inside that you can see from looking at the front open.ย  It’s an advanced easel card, I think it will be a great teen card.ย  I don’t think it’s too scary, what do you think?

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAHere’s an envelope made with stickers, I love it! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  It goes with the next card.

I love this card, do you think it’s too scary?ย  I think it’s fine for a teen, not for a younger one.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAHere’s the inside and the front of another card:)ย  Hmmm, now that I’m seeing them here, they all look like teen cards:)ย  Not to worry, I know I’m getting more Halloween cards very soon! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I’m usually very short on teen cards, so these are great!ย  Thank you so much Karen for supporting our kids and our work through Send A Smile 4 Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s all I have for today, but I hope to be back soon with more Fall/Halloween cards! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for coming by today, I’m always thankful for your interest! ๐Ÿ™‚

Merry Monday #168, Freshly Made #198, SAS4Kids guest

Ok, by the title, it looks like this post will be long!ย  Not to worry, it’s going to be one of my shorter posts, really;)ย  It’s getting late here so lets get to the show! ๐Ÿ™‚

First I have a card I will submit to Merry Monday #168, Pastel color Christmas:)

168I’m also going to enter this card into the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches #198.

FMS+Final+198-001Ok, now can you see where this is going?

abSDC17155Yep, pretty close to the sketch;) lolย  One day, I’m really going to surprise you….. but that’s not today;) lolย  For this card I used a pre colored, digital image from Fred She Said Digital Designs๐Ÿ™‚ย  This image is called Emma the Caroler / Caroling Angel.ย  I chose to use the angel because one of my hospitals is a Catholic hospital.ย  At this time, I have the only hospital that accepts religious cards from Send A Smile 4 Kids!

More fun things I used include an embossing folder by Darice, some new In Color cardstock from Stampin’ Up! called Mint Macaron, some sequins, also Stampin’ Up, and some Stampin’ Up! All is Calm Designer Washi Tape.ย  It’s on the Macaron cardstock across the middle, Silver stripe.ย  This is from last year, but I love it!ย  Right now it’s in the Stampin’ Up! clearance rack, let me know if you would like to buy some, it’s a pack of 5 tapes:)ย  That’s it for me, except this card will be going in my Christmas box for SAS4Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚ Check out their challenge this week! ๐Ÿ™‚

Next I have a repeat donor for SAS4Kids, her name is Tammy Gullett, from IA. Some donors send large boxes of cards, and that’s wonderful! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Other donors, like Tammy, send small packages, and that’s wonderful too! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  We encourage you to send whatever you have to send! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Every card makes a difference in the life of a child! ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t have a lot of different designs for Tammy, but she usually send multiples of all her cards:)

Aren’t these too cute?!ย  Cute image, great colors and look at those tiny bone brads! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAren’t these awesome?!ย  Tammy has never sent this type before, a step card, she did a wonderful job on both of them! ๐Ÿ™‚

I think the red card is a swing card, I’m not sure.ย  I have a template to make them, but I’ve never made one yet:(ย  Tammy is so adventurous! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  The frog is just adorable! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThese are my favorite, I think;)ย  She made three different bike colors:)ย  The kids are going to really love these! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Bikes, sunshine, rainbows, who wouldn’t?!ย  Thank you Tammy for all your wonderful cards! ๐Ÿ™‚

I told you it would be one of my shorter posts;)ย  I hope you enjoyed viewing all the cards today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you again real soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

Merry Monday #167, Freshly Made #197 & SAS4Kids

Wow, I have a lot going on today, and I also have a guest!ย  Are you ready?ย  Here is the info for Merry Monday #167:

167Here is the card I made, I wanted to do something different……

SDC17078bYes, there is a tiny heart, you probably need to click on it to see;)ย  There is a little green angel holding up a heart down by the “a” in Peace.ย  I was going through my storage and I found these little gift tags.ย  I outlined it with silver line peeloffs and the added the Holly leaf peeloffs.ย  The Merry Christmas is also a peeloff.ย  Peeloffs are very popular in other countries, you can get them in the USA.ย  I’ve found them here, look under stickers. I used Stampin’ Up! Real Red as my cardstock highlight color.

FMS+Final+197-001Freshly Made Sketches #197 is a sketch.ย  You all know I stay pretty close to the sketch;)

SDC17052Supplies for this card are all over the place!ย  I used some tree looking paper and the gray paper, both printed on my printer, from Raspberry Road.ย  Both are digital papers from different sets.ย  I should have written it down, but I didn’t:(ย  Iย  have tons of digital kits from Raspberry Road!ย  If anyone wants to know which sets, please just ask and I’ll look it up:)

The branch was cut from the same paper using a Quick Kutz die.ย  I couldn’t decide if I wanted in front of back, front won.ย  The moon was cut with the new Stampin’ Up! 2 inch circle punch, from Stampin’ Up! Crushed Curry.ย  Of course, I used the Stampin’ Up! owl punch.ย  The eyes are Stampin’ Up! Melon Mambo.ย  The owl gray front came from one of the Stampin’ Up! Halloween papers, I didn’t write that down either, I’m so sorry:(ย  But, I know the Happy Halloween stamp came from the Stampin’ Up! set Teeny Tiny Wishes๐Ÿ™‚

Both of my cards are going into boxes for Send A Smile 4 Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  SAS4Kids has a challenge blog, and this week the challenge is Christmas in July, check it out! ๐Ÿ™‚

Now I have a guest today, Donna Wakefield from IN.ย  Donna is a repeating card donor and she also has a blog of her own.ย  You can go visit her and see what else she’s up to:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAren’t these too cute?!ย  Donna might say on her blog where she got these adorable penquins:)ย  I love all the blues! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  All Donna’s cards will be going to one of my 3 hospitals, supplied by SAS4Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERADonna send a number of these, and that’s ok, because I have 3 hospitals to share with! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  These are awesome, and there are a couple more different designs! ๐Ÿ™‚

Some really pretty girly cards!ย  I don’t know, maybe boys like flowers too:)ย  This looks like a Stampin’ Up! set:)ย  Really pretty colors! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAWow, these cards look really fun! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Who doesn’t like balloons or kites?!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย ย ย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI love this cute little birthday puppy, but the sand castle is my favorite today!ย  If you look close, you can see little footprints in the sand near the center!ย  Don’t you just love it? !ย  The sentiment is appropriate, because the whole card looks dreamy to me! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Donna for sending more fun and encouraging cards to our kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for coming by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I hope you enjoyed viewing all the cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I plan to be back soon with more cards to share! ๐Ÿ™‚

Merry Monday #166, SAS4Kids and guests

I have another card! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I think I’m catching up with my schedule……for right now anyway;)ย  We’ll see how it goes:)ย  So today, I have a card for Merry Monday #166.ย ย  This is a two week challenge for the Summer.ย  Finally, I’m not posting my card on the last day! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  Here’s their challenge for the next two weeks:

166I know, penguins are so cute! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  However, if I have a penguin stamp, I have no idea where it is:(ย  But not to worry, I went over to Doodle Pantry and used a digital image:)ย  I actually made a special request for this set it’s called, Winter Birthday.ย  I have a number of birthdays during the Winter months, so I figured other people must too:)ย  Now with most of my cards going to Send A Smile 4 Kids, it’s really nice to have a Winter Birthday set:)ย  So here is my card for this challenge:

Isn’t this too cute! ?ย  The other main image in the set is a snowman with a birthday cake.ย  The set includes some patterned paper, some plain papers, and some embellishments.ย  I used the patterned paper, the solid papers, the sentiment and the penguin, all from the same set.ย  I printed the penguin on my matte photo paper, trimmed it to the size I wanted, and then ran it through my Big Shot with an embossing folder from Stampin’ Up! (retired).ย  This card has been approved by all my grandchildren, at least the ones that live with me;)

Oh, dear, I almost forgot!ย  I’m going to enter this card in theย  ANTS IN MY PANTRY DIGITAL CHALLENGE 7, over at Doodle Pantry.ย  They’re have a Sale going on right now, so go check them out here! ๐Ÿ™‚

Now, on to my first guest, Terri Rizzo.ย  Terri sent cards in to me for Send A Smile 4 Kids๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERALook at this cute card! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I don’t know where Terri got this image, but I think it’s great for kids!ย  Here is a photo of the back also.ย  It has a little pull out that holds the card upright! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  So simple, yet I’ve never thought to do it!ย  I know one of our kids will love this for their birthday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAnother fun card from Terri:)ย  The one on the left looks like the cow and the words are both tipping over.ย  I wonder if she did that on purpose?

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERATerri definitely has a sense of humor:)ย  I know this image came from Doodle Pantry, but I looked everywhere and can’t find it in the store.ย  If I find it, I’ll update this post:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAOne more from Doodle Pantry.ย  This one is called, Toy Truck Ants.ย  I own this set too, I love it! ๐Ÿ™‚

I know all of these images came from Mo’s Digital Pencil.ย  They come b&w and you have to color them yourself.ย  The one on the left is bubbles boy.ย  The blue and red cards are Superduper Boy, and Superduper Girl.ย  I love all these cards!ย  Great cards for kids and wonderful coloring by Terri! ๐Ÿ™‚

Just a few more cards, I want to squeeze in some cards from Bev Schoepke.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI don’t know where Bev got this cute ribbon, but I know she used the Cupcake Builder Punch from Stampin’ Up!ย  Too cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is a great card too:)ย  Nice bright colors:)ย  Bev sent multiples of each of these cards, she also sent some Christmas cards that I’ll share at another time.ย  Thank you Bev and Terri for a wonderful group of cards!:)ย  All cards are appreciated by me and the kids we serve at Send A Smile 4 Kids!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for coming by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I hope you enjoyed all the cards I was able to share! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Hope to see you again soon:)

Merry Monday #165 and SAS4Kids

Here’s another really short post.ย  I’ve been working on this card for two days!ย  Hubby has been off work all the kids are home and my daughter took two day trips and let me with everyone!ย  It’s been slow going making a card:(ย  But, everyone is finally in bed and I have a few minutes before I fall over and go to sleep!ย  This card actually took a while because I had to search for all the components and I changed my mind half way though;)

I’m going to enter this card in the Merry Monday #165 challenge๐Ÿ™‚ This weeks challenge is candles and flowers:)ย  Of course, my card will be going into the Christmas box for Send A Smile 4 Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

165Now, I was going in a totally different direction with this card, I even had the design “approved” by my daughter;)ย  I was going to use gold glitter paper as my background and gold ribbon.ย  Well, that’s not what I made;) lol

This is the paper I started with, I didn’t make it, I found it on Etsy listed as Bokeh Christmas Digital Paper.ย  I love this paper!ย  It’s actually a deeper red down on the leftย  and bottom.ย  I have so much trouble getting all the colors to look just right with the lighting I have available:(

The Bokeh looked like reflections of the candle light to me.ย  Anyway…..I used an image from Fred She Said called, Christmas Rose Coloured Set.ย  I cut it out with a Spellbinders die, and popped it up with Stampin’ Up! dimentionals.ย  I also used Stampin’ Up! 1/8″ Ribbon Taffeta (retired).ย  The top corner snow is called Snowflake Corner, by Memory Box.

I’m still living partially out of boxes, so I had to search for my ribbon and my Memory Box die, so annoying! ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  I was going to use what I had on hand (gold) but then decided I really wanted the white:)ย  I hope you like my card, it really was Simply Made;)

Thanks for coming by to look at my blog! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Most people will probably be out watching fireworks, but two of my little ones are afraid of the noise, so I put them down early, hoping they would sleep through it.ย  So sad:(ย  Lawrence was actually excited about the fireworks until he remembered how loud they are:(ย ย  I hope you all have had a safe and happy 4th! ๐Ÿ™‚

Merry Monday #164

I have a really quick post tonight!ย  I’ve been working on several different projects this week, but had to stop what I was doing to make this card for Merry Monday #164!ย  I worked on this card all day today!!ย  I cut the paper wrong a couple of times, and couldn’t make some key decisions:(ย  I’m still iffy on a couple of things, but here we go! ๐Ÿ™‚

164Hmmm, I was having trouble with “funky hats”, but I got the hat part right;)

abSDC16707This is a criss cross card, in case you’ve never seen one.ย  I love these cards, but they take a lot of work, and they end up kind of heavy!ย  I put the belly band on, but couldn’t decide if I wanted it.ย  In the past, I’ve embellished the band, but I didn’t want to take away from the other stuff going on.ย  So I took it off…..

abSDC16710The hat paper, the cute bear and the rub on that’s on the tab (hard to see, it’s a green snowflake), all came from Imaginisce.ย  I bought them several years ago, so don’t run out looking for it;)ย  The colored cardstock I bought at a craft store to go with the papers.

abSDC16712The front of the card does not move, you pull up the inside with the tab.ย  I love this little bear and his hat and scarf are all sparkly:)

abSDC16714This is the back of the pull up, I put white on it so someone can add a message.ย  This card will be going into a box for Send A Smile 4 Kids๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for stopping by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I’ll be back in a day or two to share more great cards from some guests, I hope you’ll come back to see them! ๐Ÿ™‚

Merry Monday #163, another guest from SAS4Kids

Sorry, no dogs today, but I do have horses!:)ย  I love horses, cats and dogs! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Birds are nice and bunnies…..but today, it’s horses! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  But first, I want to show you the card I made for Merry Monday Challenge #163๐Ÿ™‚ย  The theme this week is Red & White:)

163I love Merry Monday!:)ย  Last week I received an honorable mention for the card I made! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  You can see it here๐Ÿ™‚ย  A great honor, thank you Merry Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Now on to this weeks card:

aaSDC16666aThis card looks even better in hand! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I used Shimmery White cardstock from Stampin’ Up! (retired) It’s a shame they retired it, it’s great for watercoloring, which is what I did! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  The Poinsettia is from Fred She Said, it comes colored, but I actually colored it myself!! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I know, strange things do happen! ๐Ÿ˜‰ lolย  Anyway….I usedย  Pointy Poinsettia Flowers DIGI & CUTFILE SET ( I copied that right out of the store) I didn’t realize Tracey had added the cutefile, I cut all mine by hand! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I would have to cut by hand anyway, I don’t have a cutting machine:(

First I printed the FSS file right onto the Shimmery White cardstock from Stampin’ Up!, then I cut them out, and then I colored them.ย  You could color them first is you like;)ย  I used the Aqua Painter brush from Stampin’ Up! and refill bottles of Real Red, and Old Olive.ย  If you click on my photo and enlarge it, you can see the shimmer:)ย  I gently pushed some of the petals up and used Stampin’ Up! Dimentionals to hold them in place.

For the base I used Real Red, also the middle strip.ย  I added some lace that I found in my stash.ย  The center pretty thing (technical term;) lol) I found at Hobby Lobby.ย  The white is embossed with Stampin’ Up! embossing folder, Petals a Plenty (retired).ย  I know it’s so sad to see all these pretty things retired, but of course Stampin’ Up! has more different pretty things! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I just can’t NOT use craft items that I have;) !

Ok, that’s enough about my card, now on to our guest for today!ย  I will be showcasing cards from another person who sends cards to me for Send A Smile 4 Kids, her name is Geri Dean:) Geri sent me a box with over 200 cards!!!ย  She is also sending to OWH until they shut down in Aug. 2015.ย  Geri doesn’t send a box but maybe every quarter, but it’s a nice surprise to get such a large box! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thank you Geri!! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Geri does have some that are the same, you would have to with such a large number of cards, but I’ve pulled out some of my favorites:)

Geri sent a large number of cards with horses that are great! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I won’t show them all, there are too many, but here is a good sample:)

This card has an awesome 3D hat!ย  I’m pretty sure it’s faux leather, but it looks real! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  What an awesome card! ๐Ÿ™‚

These two cards have the same image, but look very different with the layouts Geri used!

I love both of these cards, the single horse has paper on the right that has been embossed.ย  The running horses is beautiful in hand, I love the image, the papers and the punched border! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I will have more of Geri’s horses in a future post:)ย  Here are some other cards that Geri made:

Geri really has a good eye for papers and colors!ย  This is a great stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI had trouble getting a good photo of these cards:(ย  The colors are more subtle than it shows in the photo, more like pastels.ย  They are so adorable and I have more to show you at a later time;)

Aren’t these too cute?!ย  Pretty colors for girls, nice layouts and paper:)ย  That’s it for today, more to come at a later date:)

Thanks for coming by today, I hope you can come again soon! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Check out the Merry Monday challenge, they have a new Christmas themed challenge every week! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Also check out the SAS4Kids challenge, they have a new challenge every other week! ๐Ÿ™‚

Merry Monday #162, Friday Mashup #213 & SAS4Kids

I have a short post tonight with only two cards, but I made both of them:)ย  I’m actually entering another challenge, but the title was way too long! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  lol

My first card is for Merry Monday #162, their challenge is always a Christmas Challenge.ย  This week the challenge is to add one or more tags to your card.

162I’m also going to enter my card at the Doodle Panty challenge, Ants in my pantry digital challenge 6.ย  I know, what a long title, but their images are so cute, check them out! ๐Ÿ™‚

This is a Doodle Pantry digital image called Charlie Sledding.ย  It’s a pre colored image, and I think it’ll be great for one of the kids at Send A Smile 4 Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚ย ย  Yes, I start early with Christmas, it’s so easy to get behind;) ! ย  I used an embossing folder by Darice, some silver ribbon from Stampin’ Up!, a snowflake punch from Martha Stewart, and I printed the blue background paper on my computer.ย  The blue paper comes in the kit from Doodle Pantry:)ย  Oh, almost forgot,ย  The snowflake and the two glittery sides are Stampin’ Up! Glimmer Paper, Dazzling Diamonds.ย  I popped up the tag with Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimentionals.

My second card is for the challenge over at the Friday Mashup #213.

This week’s Mashup Challenge is:
  • Create a project with the colors “Cajun Craze, Island Indigo and Garden Green”
  • Create a project with a “Father’s Day Theme”
  • or Mash it Up! and Create a project with “The challenge colors and a Father’s Day theme”.

abSDC15673I chose a Father’s Day Theme because I still had one card for Father’s Day that I had not posted yet:)ย  I love this card:)ย  I used a digital image from Fred She Said called, Emma In Her Cool Cap.ย  I used the pre colored version, but you can also get this image in black & white to color yourself:)ย  The papers are Stampin’ Up! Real Red and Soft Suede.ย  The heart border was made with a Stampin’ Up! punch called Confetti Hearts Border punch.ย  I took a few of the punch outs and added them on the top left.ย  I just printed the sentiment at the bottom of the image.

Thank you so much for coming by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I appreciate your interest! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I will be back in a few days with some more cards, hope to see you then! ๐Ÿ™‚
