Freshly Made Sketches #110, OWH Midweek Throwdown & SAS4K

I’m back again with three new cards!  The first card I will enter into two challenges, Freshly Made Sketches #110, and Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown.  It’s late, so not a whole lot of details tonight.  This time change is really hard on everyone, the kids were all cranky and tired today! 😦  So here is the sketch:

FMS Final 110-001Here’s my card:

Half-fold Card1The digital images are from Doodle Pantry.  The set is called, Patriotic Sheep.  I also used DP Stars & Stripes Paper Pack.  They are both on the same page, click either name:)

As promised, here is my card for the Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge, plus an extra to go there:) My first card I made with teen boys in mind, I hear they dont’ get lots of cards just for them:(

Half-fold Card2This card is made with a 3D sticker.  I’m planning to make at least 2 more.  All my cardstocks are Stampin’ Up!.

Half-fold Card3This is my last card, it’s also made with a 3D sticker.  Kids love stickers! 🙂  I used an embossing folder and then just added my stickers.  I think it’s really cute:)  I think a younger child will love this card!  Send A Smile 4 Kids has hospitals with children of all ages.  I wanted to show you how you could use stickers to make quick cards that kids will enjoy.  I plan on making some more of these too:)

Thanks for stopping by today! 🙂  I hope this week goes well so I can make lots more cards! 🙂

Friday Mashup #130 & OWH Midweek throwdown

I have a lot of cards tonight, so not much explanation, but please feel free to ask if you have questions on supplies or anything else:)  My first card is for the Friday Mashup Challenge #130.

Here’s your Mashup Challenge:
Create a project with “Ripped paper.”
Create a project with a “a fussy cut image.” (Cut something out)
Or Mash it Up and create a project “with some Ripped paper & something Fussy Cut.”

Here’s my card:

Half-fold Card1I have to say it doesn’t look as nice in the photo than it does in hand.  I love how this card turned out!  I have used a similar flower and have also used this  layout before, but I think this one turned out the best of all of them!!:)  You need to click on the card to really see how beautiful the flower is and the awesome middle embellishment!  Okay, all of this is just my opinion, maybe you’ll like it too:)  The flower image is from Fred She Said called, Pointy Poinsettia Flowers.  I can already tell those of you who know me well are thinking this is a pre-colored image, not this time!  I took out my Aqua Painter from Stampin’ Up! and used Read Red and Always Artichoke to hand paint this flower!!  And yes, I followed the rules, it’s all hand cut!  I painted it and then cut it out. It’s so pretty and it stands up quite a way, this will definitely be going to one of my family members, because it will have to be boxed and maybe hand delivered!

Now I have three more cards, yes three!  These cards are for a challenge over at Operation Write Home called the Midweek Throwdown.  The challenge is to make multiple cards that are easy to make over and over.  Mine are kind of multiple, I did make three, but they aren’t exactly the same;)

Half-fold Card2A great image from Fred She Said, I’ve used this image a lot of times, it’s called Christmas Poinsettia Lanntern Set.  I’m assuming that’s the way you spell Lantern in Canada;)  Yes, it’s pre-colored;)

Half-fold Card3

Another awesome digital image from Fred She Said! 🙂  This one is called Catchin’ Flakes. I adore this image, it reminds me of my baby brother when he was small, quite a few years ago! 😉

Half-fold Car4

This last card is made with a pre-colored digital image from Doodle Pantry called, Cocoa Cup Ants.   You can shop by colored images, the are about 368, but there are plenty of un-colored digis and paper packs as well.  I love pre-colored digital images!  I have three of my grandchildren staying with me.  They’ve been here for a number of months and it’s practically impossible to make cards:(  Pre-colored digital images have helped me make a lot more cards, because the coloring is already done:)  And, of course, I don’t color that well anyway:(

I hope you’ve enjoyed viewing my cards today:)  Thanks for stopping by! 🙂  I hope to see you again soon:)

Freshly Made Anniv. #100, Operation Write Home-Midweek & Send A Smile 4 Kids

Yes, it’s a very long title, sorry.  I’ve made two cards (for now) to cover all three of these challenges.  The first card is for two challenges; Freshley Made #100, and Operation Write Home-Midweek Throwdown.  The OWH Midweek Throwdown is to make cards for kids, always my favorite:)  Freshly Made has a sketch and here it is:

Sketch 1And here is the card I made:

Half-fold Card1I’m very happy with  this card:)  I found the background paper at Michael’s.  It’s a stack from DCWV called All About Boys.  I don’t know if you’re allowed to do this, but I haven’t heard that I can’t.  I scanned part of a large 12/12 sheet, and with my printer, I made the sheet almost the size I needed, I just had to cut it a little.  The little circle compass came from one of the tries I made that was too big.  The image and small background paper both came from Doodle Pantry called Piratey Ship. The set comes with a few different background papers:)  I will most probably make more of these, boy cards are so hard sometimes.

My second card is for Send A Smile 4 Kids,  they are asking for Animal cards.  You still have plenty of  time to enter, they are giving away digital prizes and one of the prizes  is for $10 to the Fred She Said Store!!   Here’s the card I made:

Half-fold Card2This image and the papers are all from Doodle Pantry Kit called  Quirky Ostrich. This image is so cute!  They have a bunch of Quirky animals, stop by their shop and take a look:)

Well, that’s it from me tonight, of course, I have more cards in my future, so I hope you’ll come back again:)

Thanks for stopping by today, I’m always glad to have you! 🙂
