Friday Mashup #76

I know Breast Cancer Awareness month is not until October, but when I saw this weeks sketch, I knew just what I wanted to do.   I even knew where I was going to get my digital papers.

Here is the info for the Friday Mashup #76:

So here is the “Mashup” Challenge:
  1. Make a project with the sketch.
  2. Or Make a project with “Starburst technique”.
  3. Or “Mash it Up” and create a project using the “sketch and starburst technique”.

Here is my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

The paper and sentiment for this card are all digital, except the leaves and background paper.  The paper set is called TA-TAS from Raspberry Road Designs.   All the papers are from the paper set only.  The sentiment is from the  TA-TAS add on kit. The background paper I used here is from Stampin’ Up! called Pretty in Pink.  The leaves are SU Certainly Celery, cut out with the Stampin’ Up! Little Leaves Sizzlits. The flower is from Michaels.

I sized everything and printed it from my Print Shop program.  The white paper looks embossed, but it comes that way.  I printed everything on photo project paper-matte from Target, it prints wonderful colors!  I popped up the flower and the sentiment.  I will have everything in my supply list below.

I think this is an awesome sketch, so be sure an head over to the Friday Mashup to see what everyone else has made! 🙂

Merry Monday #28

I’m so excited, I love making Christmas cards! This card is for the Merry Monday Challenge over at Always Playing With Paper. This one is a little different, it’s almost all digital. Here’s the sketch for this weeks challenge:

Simple right?  I thought so too, but I really had to think about what I wanted to do.  Here’s my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

Now when I make a digital card, I print out my digital images and then use them just like regular paper.  The main image is digital from Raspberry Road Designs, it’s called Joy of Christmas.  I also used one of their background papers, also from the Joy of Christmas collection.

I use Print Shop for almost everything.  First I added the paper and then layered on the main image.  I printed it on my printer and cut it out.  I layered that onto Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, then onto SU Real Red.  I glued the whole thing onto plain white cardstock, that you can’t see;)  Finally, I used a stamp from Stampin’ Up! set Come to Bethlehem.   I cut out two strips of paper, one Basic Black and stamped on the Very Vanilla.  These little banners seem to be very popular right now.  I find them difficult to cut just right:(  This one looks pretty good, if I say so myself;)

I love anything with Cardinals!  This image really caught my eye!  I hope you like it as well:)  Check out the Raspberry Road Blog, they often have freebies:)

Thanks for stopping by:)  I hope I’m not overloading you with cards.

Freshly Made Sketches #41

OMGoodness, I am under so much stress!  Thank goodness making cards helps me with that! 🙂  It’s so relaxing to mix and match colors and papers:)  Today I worked on a sketch from Freshly Made.  Here is sketch #41:

I’ve actually made two.  I flipped the image on both, and one I flipped the paper too.  Here is the first one, you can click on it to make it larger.

My central image is from Fred She Said, Emma in the Strawberry Patch Pre-Coloured Set.  I did NOT color either of the images from FSS.  I bought pre-colored, but there is also an uncolored set.  My papers are from Raspberry Road Designs.  The set is called Strawberry Hill.  They are having a sale through the 4th of July, and they also have a free mini kit:)  Fred She Said is  having a Blog Hop with prizes!  Scroll down for more info on the Blog Hop:) Here is my second card:

Basically the same info as above.  I print out all my digitals and them cut them out and mount them just like regular paper. They’re not too terribly different, I’m not sure which one I prefer, I like them both:)  There are more colors in the set, I may try them all. LOL  I do love little Emma:)  Supplies will be listed below.

Thanks for coming by today:)  I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend, and you all have a great Fourth of July!

Merry Monday #26

Please scroll down for the Fred She Said Fabulous Flowers Blog Hop!!!

This card is for the Merry Monday challenge.  Yep, another Christmas card;)

My daughter and her two girls have moved in with us for a while, and I have been challenged to get anything done!  I found the simplicity of this sketch to be almost beyond me this week.  Hopefully things will settle into a routine that includes some cardmaking time for me! 🙂  Here is the Merry Monday sketch for this week:

Here is my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

For this card I used a red background paper from Raspberry Road Designs. They’re having a sale this weekend:)  Just found that out myself:)  The red paper is digital.  The black is SU! Basic Black, I have used VersaMark and stamped snowflakes on it, but it’s really hard to see.  I used a sentiment from SU!, Hand-Penned Holidays.  The corner snowflake is from Memory  Box, it’s a die called Snowflake Corner.  Very appropriate title. LOL

I started this card about a dozen times and couldn’t decide on the papers.  Finally, last night, I decided I was over thinking the whole card, and just picked one of my many samples.  I hope you like it! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today!  I’m always happy to have you, come again soon:)

Freshly Made Sketches #34

This is my second post this week.  Two cards in one week! 🙂  I found this sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.   This is sketch number 34.

Here is my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

There were quite a few layers this time.  I decided to do a mostly digital card.  I do use a lot of digital images, but this card has a few layers of digital paper.

All of the green background is  digital and only one layer. The blue and beige at the bottom are included in the first layer on white.  The middle beige is digital, but I cut it out and stamped it with En Francais from Stampin’ Up!.  The purple stripe is digital, but cut out and attached.

Finally, the center image is digital, also the green it’s placed on.  I cut it out using Spellbinders, Lacey Circles.  I popped it up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  All of my digital images today, came from Raspberry Road Designs. The digital kit is called Circle of Friends, I used one of the Side Clusters.

This card will be great to send overseas, because it’s mostly digital, it will cost less in postage:)  My photos just don’t seem to do justice to my cards:(  I think it’s much nicer in person than in this photo:)

Thanks for stopping by today:)  Be sure to check out all of my links for today:)  Especially Freshly Made Sketches, where you will find more cards made with the same layout:)

I hope you all have a great week! 🙂

Merry Monday #19

Yeah, another Merry Monday!  This is Merry Monday #19 already! I am so excited to have the encouragement to make a Christmas card every week!  Here is this weeks sketch:

I flipped the sketch up so the punch work is on the bottom.  I also used rectangles instead of ovals and corners. You can click on the card to make it larger:)  Here is my card:

I used mostly Stampin’ Up! products.  I love how I can match all my Stampin’ Up! colors!  I did use an image by Raspberry Road. It’s a digital kit called “Winters Beauty“.   I printed it on a paper I buy at Target, called Photo Project Paper-matte. It prints beautiful images!  On the green paper I used VersaMark ink and a snowflake stamp from SU “Winter Post”.  Using VersaMark makes a lovely shadow on your paper.

Thanks for coming by today:)  Today is my youngest grandsons 1st birthday:)  We are going to have a little party:)  I hope you all have a great week and stop by again soon:)  Be sure to pop over to Merry Monday and check out all the other beautiful cards:)

Freshly Made Sketches #30

Ok, a really simple card today!  I made this card with a sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. Here is the sketch:

Here is my card.  I will explain how I made it.  I did NOT hand color any part of this card:

I think this card has a high impact.  The colors are bright, and different.  This was a very easy card to make and you could do it too!  Almost all the elements are digital, but it’s NOT a digital card.  All of the elements were printed onto paper, cut out and assembled.

First, the elements are from a digital store called “Raspberry Road Designs“.  I linked the page for you, of course you don’t have to use digital images, I would just like to show you how easy it is:)  Especially if you’ve never tried digital images.  They are very similar to the Fred She Said images I use.

I used the red dotted, and the yellow from the Cherry Bliss Paper Set, at Raspberry Road Designs.  The bird image is from Raspberry Road, but I think it was a freebie from last year. The green paper is Stampin’ Up! Garden Green.

I printed all the digital papers and images and then cut them out.  Then all I had to do was assemble all the pieces.  How easy is that?  I like the way it turned out:)  I may even add some bling, I’m not sure yet.

If you think making cards is too hard, this is a nice way to get started:)

Thanks for coming by today, hope to see you again:)
