Send A Smile 4 Kids 12-13-19

Hi ladies! πŸ™‚Β  I’m sad that all of my crafts are packed so I can’t make any cards myself 😦  But happy that we will be moving soon! πŸ™‚Β  I do have some cards from one of our SAS4Kids donors πŸ™‚Β  These cards are from Rita Merta, and are examples of what you can do with Winter cards that are general sentiments with Winter themes.

Some very nice Thank You cards.Β  Winter themed, snowflakes, trees, coffee, cabins and Winter colors πŸ™‚

Hello and Thinking of You, nicely done πŸ™‚

Winter Wishes and Let it Snow πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Rita for your great examples of general sentiments with Winter themes! πŸ™‚Β  Great cards to share with our kids at Send A Smile 4 Kids! πŸ™‚

Take a few minutes and check out the SAS4Kids blog and join in the fun of our challenges! πŸ™‚

I don’t think I will be posting again until the New Year.Β  Most of my things are packed and I’ve sent out Christmas cards to all of “my” hospitals.Β  Kids will be enjoying your wonderful efforts this Christmas and I’m sure there will be plenty of smiles!! πŸ™‚

Please have a wonderful holiday and celebrate whatever way makes your loved ones happy!!! πŸ™‚Β  I hope to see you in the New Year!! πŸ™‚

I’m back, yay! :)

I have been gone so long, and I’m so sorry! 😦  Don’t ever get “old”, because everything takes longer to heal if you break it! 😦

I had 8 fractures in my broken arm and it was not fun or pretty!Β  But here I am, mostly recovered and ready to share more cards with you! πŸ™‚Β  So let’s not waste another minute and get to some cards! πŸ™‚

I still have two fingers on my right hand that will not work properly, but I’ve adapted πŸ™‚Β  I’ve been making simple cards for about a month and have some to share with you πŸ™‚

Today I’m showing you ways to use paper and images for Fall “themed” cards.Β  Here are two cards showing Fall “themed” cards for Birthdays.Β  On the right, I used a pumpkin embossing folder with some Fall paper and a digital image that I bought on Esty.Β  I added the words to the pumpkin digitally.Β  On the left, I used some Fall paper and an image that I also bought on Esty, plus a gold sentiment sticker.

Here I used two more digital images from Esty, Fall colored papers, and on the left a black Hello sentiment sticker, on the right, the image came with the Hello sentiment.

Here I used a 6×6 Fall paper pack from Carta Bella, called Fall Market.Β  I don’t like how the colors turned out in my photos 😦  The cards are actually very bright and colorful.

In case you forgot, or you’re new here, I send cards to Children’s Hospitals as a volunteer for Send A Smile 4 Kids.Β  I also, separately, send cards to a senior center in honor of my mother.Β  Please take a few minutes and check out the SAS4Kids blog and see how you can be a donor too! πŸ™‚

Now I have some beautiful cards from one of my card donors, Lee Mae Elkins πŸ™‚

I think all of Lee Mae’s cards “speak” for themselves, lots of sentiments, all with Fall themes.Β  Thank you so much Lee Mae for sharing your cards and talents with our kids! πŸ™‚

You can do the same thing with Winter “themed” cards, I hope to show you some very soon! πŸ™‚

Thank you for coming by, I am so thankful for your interest! πŸ™‚Β  I hope you can come by again! πŸ™‚Β  I am so happy and thankful to be back to my blog and sharing what I love! πŸ™‚

SAS4Kids #187 cards 4 boys

I can hardly believe it’s been a month since I was last here!Β  I had planned on at least one more post in February, but I was sick 😦  Thankfully I’m much better now, just in time for the monthly SAS4kids post! πŸ™‚

I’m glad you’re here and hope you enjoy the inspiration I have to share with you today πŸ™‚Β  My card is a “boy” card, I know a lot of you have trouble with boy cards, I do too.Β  But this card actually came together pretty quickly πŸ™‚

My Project

This card is using Stampin’ Up! stamp set Enjoy Life, all the images are silhouettes.Β  The sentiment is also from the set.Β  For the background I used a free image from Fred She Said Designs. Go here and scroll down below the bride, you will see I asked for this stand alone background, and Tracey graciously supplied it for free! πŸ™‚Β  I resized it on my Print Shop program and I think it works great for this card! πŸ™‚Β  It’s so easy to put together, I think I will make some cards for all of my hospitals! πŸ™‚

I received some cards from a brand new (to me) donor πŸ™‚Β  Her name is Jaydee and to visit her blog you can go here, Stampin! with Jaydee.Β  Jaydee sent about 240 cards!Β  It was almost impossible to decide what to share!Β  Some of the cards were duplicates, but there were plenty of cards for me to choose from! πŸ™‚

OMGoodness, thank you so much Jaydee! πŸ™‚Β  There are so many more, please visit her blog above the cards πŸ™‚Β  These cards will be shared with 4 different hospitals in IL & IN! πŸ™‚

While I’ve been sick, I received a several more boxes that haven’t been gone through yet as I didn’t want to touch the cards while I had germs!Β  I will be sharing more cards from other donors soon! πŸ™‚

Thanks for coming by today, I appreciate your interest in Send A Smile 4 Kids and the inspiration our donors share with our kids! πŸ™‚

I am a Stampin’ Up! Demo, so I do receive monies from products I sell.Β  I do not receive any compensation for any products I showcase on my blog from anyone.

Send A Smile 4 Kids Valentines

Yes, SAS4Kids has been off for the month December.Β  I meant to come on anyway and show some cards, but you know how that goes during the holidays πŸ˜‰

Going forward with the SAS4Kids challenge blog, it’s been decided that there will be only one challenge posted on the first Saturday of each month.Β  That will give people a whole month to join in the challenge! πŸ™‚

SAS4Kids will continue to do our “work” of sending or delivering cards to Children’s Hospitals! πŸ™‚Β  We still have awesome volunteers ready to accept your cards for the kids! πŸ™‚

I will still try to post twice a month, or maybe 3 times, depends on what’s going on πŸ˜‰Β  I haven’t been receiving as many cards as in previous years, I hope we aren’t wearing you out! 😦

I have a Valentine card for you today πŸ™‚Β  I’ve been trying to make more “boy” cards πŸ™‚Β  I never seem to get enough “boy” cards 😦  So here is what I made for Valentine’s Day πŸ™‚

DSC01139

This card is on Stampin’ Up! Real Red, with Basic Black, and I used my Stampin’ Up! dies to cut the image.Β  The image is from Etsy, at a store called TeaBreakArt. I found it listed under SVG files, but it also comes with a PNG image that’s great for cards πŸ™‚Β  The white heart paper came from my stash, could be Stampin’ Up! but it would be discontinued, sorry 😦  I hope a boy will enjoy this card, but I guess girls might like it too πŸ˜‰

Here are some cards from Sandra Borsheim of MN πŸ™‚Β  I may have shown the next three shares on our FB page, but it’s all I’ve gotten so far.

Some cards from Ruby Haugen of MN πŸ™‚

And finally, some cards from Donna Wakefield of IN πŸ™‚

DSC01109

Thank you ladies for sharing your wonderful cards with us and our kids! πŸ™‚Β  You are all so generous and talented! πŸ™‚

This may seem like a lot of Valentine cards, but I assure you, I will need more! πŸ˜‰Β  I have 4 hospitals and they all receive Valentine cards πŸ™‚

Thank you all for stopping by, I appreciate your interest whether you make cards for SAS4Kids or you just come for some inspiration! πŸ™‚Β  I hope to be back soon with more cards πŸ™‚Β  If you follow my blog, you will get an update whenever I post one πŸ™‚

I wish you all a very Happy New Year!! πŸ™‚

Winter cards for SAS4Kids #184

Welcome friends! πŸ™‚Β  Here is another card for Send A Smile 4 Kids blog challenge πŸ™‚Β  I also have a repeat guest today to share her cards with you! πŸ™‚Β  Here is my card :

aDSC01031

My guest will be following, but I wanted to give her credit for CASEing her card.Β  It can be found here.Β  Scroll down until you find Trish Cudney.Β  There you will find a card very similar to mine πŸ™‚Β  Thanks Trish, you may have also CASEd your card, but I still think it’s a great! πŸ™‚Β  Trish’s card is from last year, 2017.

For this card I used Cabin Fever, by Carta Bella.Β  If you can’t find the actual printedΒ  product, you can find it here, in digital form, from SnapClickSupply, at the bottom of the page πŸ™‚Β  I also used Stampin’ Up! Chocolate Chip and Soft Suede cardstock.

Now for some of Trish Cudney’s newest cards πŸ™‚

These cards have the same image and different layouts and papers! πŸ™‚

On the left are two cards with the same layout, but different images and papers πŸ™‚

Most of Trish’s cards have now sentiments, great examples of making Christmas/Winter cards with no sentiment, they can be used for anything! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Trish for these wonderful cards! πŸ™‚

Check out our FB page, I’ve just uploaded some new card photos! πŸ™‚

Thank you for coming by today, I hope you’ve enjoyed our cards! πŸ™‚Β  I appreciate your interest whether you share cards with us or you’re just stopping by for a visit! πŸ™‚Β  I hope you come by again soon! πŸ™‚

Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge #183

Welcome to another post featuring Christmas and Winter cards! πŸ™‚Β  I’ve been so busy, I almost forgot to do this post!Β  This post will be kinda long, so I hope you’re all ready! πŸ™‚

Christmas is an exciting time of year for our kids in hospitals!Β  Well, it’s exciting for us getting ready to ship them cards!Β  I know that I love to get cards to share with the kids and see what our generous donors have made to bring smiles to kids faces! πŸ™‚

My husband came home from work late and let me know that it’s snowing outside, as I’m sure it is in many parts of the USA!Β  So here is my card to share to get things going:

aDSC00886

It’s a Winter Birthday card! πŸ™‚Β  I heard that some people don’t quite understand what “every day cards with Christmas, Winter themes” actually means.Β  Here is a great example, well, I think so anyway πŸ˜‰

I used a 6×6 paper pad by Echo Park, called Celebrate Winter.Β  What fun colors and images they have in this paper pad! πŸ™‚Β  And it’s a Birthday card! πŸ™‚Β  I know you shouldn’t start a sentence with “and”,Β  sorry πŸ˜‰

I used Stampin’ Up! Basic Black cardstock and sentiment.Β  I’m not sure which set it came out of because it’s in my “favorites” box that I use all the time.Β  Both papers came from the same paper pad, and there are other fun papers as well πŸ™‚Β  No I don’t get paid to promote Echo Park, I just love their paper pads, and they work well with Stampin’ Up! cardstock! πŸ™‚

Next I have some great cards from repeat donor, Lee Mae Elkins from WA.Β  I know you’ll enjoy her cards! πŸ™‚Β  Click on them to see their sentiments πŸ˜‰Β  Here are some Christmas/Winter Birthdays!

Every day cards with Christmas/Winter themes πŸ™‚

Here are a couple of Blank/no sentiment, Christmas cards πŸ™‚

Some Merry Christmas for those of you missing the “official” Christmas cards πŸ˜‰

And finally, some “other than Merry Christmas” cards πŸ™‚

Thank you Lee Mae for giving everyone something to love! πŸ™‚Β  Great examples of almost every kind of Winter/Christmas card! πŸ™‚

I’d like to thank all of my donors for their efforts this year to bring happy smiles to kids faces! πŸ™‚

Thank you for stopping by! πŸ™‚Β  I hope we’ve given you some inspiration to get through the holiday card making season! πŸ™‚Β  I hope you’ll come join us again for more cards! πŸ™‚

Please stop by Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge blog to see more cards, or enter your own! πŸ™‚

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! πŸ™‚

SAS4Kids, Happy Holidays or AG

Hello everyone! πŸ™‚Β  Are you getting excited for Christmas or something like it?!Β  I’ve had a request from one of my hospitals for more generic sentiments instead of “Merry Christmas”.Β  I didn’t pick the title, but it reminded me that some people don’t celebrate Christmas.Β  Feel free to send in cards with different sentiments like: Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings, Holiday Wishes.Β  There are lots to choose from lately, but you can also make “Christmas” cards and leave the sentiment off πŸ˜‰

I have my own card to share that you can find over on the SAS4Kids blog πŸ™‚Β  Check it out for other cards with inspiration! πŸ™‚Β  Here is my card:

DSC00871

I used the same paper pad as last week, “Sugarblush”, by Recollections, from Michaels.Β  The black with snowflakes was printed off my computer, as well as the sentiment.Β  I thought pink would be fun for the kids πŸ™‚

Now I have a guest this week, Debbie Caldwell from MI πŸ™‚Β  Debbie is a repeat sender and she’s made some great cards for the kids that are Post Office friendly for the kids to share with their family or friends πŸ™‚

Debbie has used some great papers, a lot are the same with different layouts πŸ™‚Β  She used some great layouts more than once as well πŸ™‚Β  These cards all still look different and will not all go to the same hospital, so these are great choices! πŸ™‚Β  These are more Winter cards than Christmas, but she also sent Christmas that I will share another week πŸ™‚

Thank you Debbie for sharing these wonderful cards with our kids in the hospital! πŸ™‚Β  I know these cards will be loved! πŸ™‚

Thank you to all my card makers for sharing their talents! πŸ™‚Β  Your cards bring lots of smiles to our kids! πŸ™‚

If you’re just stopping by for some inspiration, I hope you found some! πŸ™‚Β  We are happy to share what we do for kids in the hospital to help cheer them and make them smile! πŸ™‚ We have volunteers in a number of states, we would be happy to accept your donation of cards, if you would like to share πŸ™‚Β  We appreciate A2 cards as they are easier to mail.Β  You can contact any of our volunteers on our contact page and see if the size cards you make would be acceptable πŸ™‚

If you already make and donate cards, I’m pretty sure you’ve had this conversation with your volunteer πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ll visit again! πŸ™‚
