Merry Monday #218 & SAS4Kids

I know, it’s Thursday and in the middle of the day, but I finally got a card done and wanted to post it! πŸ™‚ Β  Maybe I can even make another card and have two cards this week!Β  I can always dream! lol

I have a card for Merry Monday the #218 challenge! πŸ™‚Β  I will also submit it to the current challenge over at Send A Smile 4 Kids ! πŸ™‚Β  Here is the challenge over at Merry Monday πŸ™‚

I love plaid so I had fun making this card! πŸ™‚Β  I used Wink of Stella on the roof and chimney for the snow, it looks really pretty πŸ™‚Β  The card wouldn’t stay flat for me to take the photo, so it’s looks a little lopsided.Β  The circle is actually sized correctly.

The paper on the left is from Stampin’ Up!, Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper.Β  I also cut the little cottage out of another sheet of paper from the same series.Β  I used Stampin’ Up! Real Red, and Early Espresso card stock.Β  The plaid paper came from an Etsy store.

I used a Stampin’ Up! matching stamp set called Candy Cane Christmas for the sentiment and the little mint candies.Β  The current holiday catalog runs until Jan. 3, 2017, but may run short close to the end.Β  You can contact me to purchase Stampin’ Up! products πŸ™‚

Do I have guest cards today?Β  Of course I do! πŸ™‚Β  First up is Ann Williams of TX πŸ™‚

Thank you Ann for these wonderful Halloween cards! πŸ™‚

Next is Nanci Simmons of FL πŸ™‚

Thank you Nanci, great non-scary cards for our kids! πŸ™‚

Next up is Janelle Klapperich of SD πŸ™‚

Thank you Janelle for the Halloween and the great Fall cards as well ! πŸ™‚

One more set of cards for today from Debbie Eassy of PA πŸ™‚

Thank you Debbie, wonderful cards for the kids to enjoy! πŸ™‚

I’d like to thank all of my card donors, what awesome cards for all of our kids! πŸ™‚Β  I’m pleased to see so many of you using Stampin’ Up! products! πŸ™‚Β  It’s so much fun for me to see new examples of Stampin’ Up! cards! πŸ™‚Β  I am so thankful to have all of you on “my” team! πŸ™‚

Even if you don’t donate cards, I still appreciate you coming by and seeing all the wonderful examples of cards we have to share! πŸ™‚

Be sure to stop by Merry Monday and our own challenge at SAS4Kids! πŸ™‚Β  I still have some Halloween and Fall to share and then it will be on to Christmas! πŸ™‚Β  I love Christmas cards, I think they’re my favorites……maybe πŸ˜‰Β  lolΒ  I actually love all handmade cards! πŸ™‚

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you can come by again soon! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches #231 & SAS4Kids

I started feeling much better this week after taking some antibiotics! πŸ™‚Β  No one knows what was exactly wrong, but the meds worked, YAY! πŸ™‚

Today I have a card I made for Freshly Made Sketches #231.Β  I will also enter it into our own Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge, which is For Moms or Special Females from kids:)

FMS Final 231-001SDC19882

Yes, I stay pretty close to the sketches;)Β  you’re probably thinking I cut the two pieces on the right.Β  Nope, I actually cut two very small strips of black.Β  I should have added one on the left of my image too, I still may, before sending to one of my hospitals πŸ™‚

The back is black, on top of that is my background image.Β  I should have taken a photo because it’s not a very wide image and what I did was put one image on the left and the other on the right and there is white in the center.Β  You only see one image that way.Β  The background image is from PC Hugware.Β  They’re no longer in business:(Β  But, you can get the cute Nolan & the BullFrog from Fred She Said! πŸ™‚

I was reminded of this image by my daughter telling her kids the other day how her and her brothers went fishing one year and when they came home they knocked on the door.Β  When I went to the door, they had this big bull frog right in my face, made me jump! lol Right away I thought of little Nolan taking his mom a bull frog for Mother’s Day πŸ™‚

The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Teeny Tiny Wishes πŸ™‚

Ok, that’s enough from me, I have two guests today, the first is Ann Merkins of MN πŸ™‚

You really need to click on these and make them bigger! πŸ™‚Β  Ann has told me she makes these cards with napkins!Β  She didn’t tell me how she does it though:(Β  They’re sparkly! πŸ™‚

I have never seen napkins this pretty in my life! πŸ™‚Β  They really make beautiful cards! πŸ™‚

The card on the far left is so beautiful, the colors are stunning!Β  I really like the card on the far right too! πŸ™‚Β  Ann made several quilt cards in different colors and designs, they’re all beautiful! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Ann for such wonderful cards for our kids to share with their moms! πŸ™‚

Next I have Janelle Klapperich of SD πŸ™‚

You all know I love when you use the same papers, layouts or images in different ways! πŸ™‚ The two cards on the left look really different, even though they’re basically the same πŸ˜‰Β  Now I could split these up and send to two different hospitals, but I don’t think it would matter, even if they were on the same floor πŸ˜‰

Janelle uses a lot of Stampin’ Up! products! πŸ™‚Β  All three of the cards to the right are made with Botanical Blooms, stamp and die bundle.Β  Also the one above with the yellow flower πŸ™‚Β  It’s still available in the Stampin’ Up! Spring Occasions Catalog until May 31st! πŸ™‚Β  Yes, I do sell Stampin’ Up!, I just don’t push anyone to buy it πŸ˜‰

I didn’t buy this set, because I didn’t care for the examples I had seen 😦  If I had seen Janelle’s examples I would have had this already! πŸ™‚Β  The green card in the center is gorgeous!Β Β  Janelle did such a great job, you should enlarge it πŸ˜‰

Here’s a peek at some Father’s Day cards! πŸ™‚Β  More Stampin’ Up! products! πŸ™‚Β  These are all great Father’s Day cards! πŸ™‚Β  I really love the plane, and I have that set! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Janelle for sharing these wonderful cards with our kids! πŸ™‚Β  I’m sure the dads will be thrilled! πŸ™‚

Well, I’m off to bed, I won’t stay well if I don’t get my sleep!Β  It snowed here last night and was still on the grass this morning!Β  I hope you all are having some better weather! πŸ™‚

Thanks for coming by today, I hope you all have a great week and come back again soon! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches #210 Simply Made

I have a really simple card today, although it take me longer than I thought it would;)Β  I tend to start with one idea and then change it a couple times before deciding on my final layout:)Β  Today, there is a really good reason for a simple card, you can read about it here at Send A Smile 4 Kids.Β  I’ve had a request from one of my hospitals for cards with NO embellishments!Β  I know, seriously!Β  I always try my best to fulfill requests, so I thought the Freshly Made Sketch #210 was a really good place to start! πŸ™‚ Here’s their sketch:

FMS Final 210-001Looks pretty simple, right?Β  Well, my card is pretty simple too:)

aSDC18093This may not be the most simple card I’ve ever made, but it must be pretty close!Β  There are no embellishments on this card!Β  The sentiment and the branch are both rubber stamped.Β  The birds are rubber stamped and then colored with my Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities (discontinued).Β  The stamp set is from Lawn Fawn, Winter Sparrows, as well as the dies.Β  Please stare at my wonderful coloring, since you know I hardly ever color! lol

I’ve chosen a guest who has done a wonderful job showing off her cards with no embellishments!Β  This is only the second box of cards I’ve received from Ruby Haugen of MN.Β  Ruby has done a really good job and I welcome her to my blog:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAll of Ruby’s cards have really cute, kid friendly, images! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI believe Ruby used mostly colored pencils to color her images:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERARuby has used some wonderful papers and colors! πŸ™‚Β  She’s also layered her papers and images so they are almost flat! All of her embellishments are paper!Β  There is nothing on these cards that can be pulled off that isn’t safe for children who may put things in their mouths! πŸ™‚

Thank you Ruby for your wonderful cards, I know the kids will love these cards with fun colors and great images! πŸ™‚

Over on the SAS4Kids challenge blog there’s still one week left to enter cards for the Celebration Cards 4 Kids card challenge!Β  On November 7th we will be starting Happy Holidays 4 Kids!Β  Enter our challenge or just check out what others have made! πŸ™‚

Thanks for coming by today! πŸ™‚Β  I appreciate your support! πŸ™‚Β  Come again soon for more cards! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made #199, Friday Mashup #221, SAS4Kids

Hi everyone, I’ve been busy, as always! πŸ™‚Β  The kids start school this week, so they’re taking time today to be especially loud!Β  It will probably take me hours to get this posted!Β  Oh, what fun! πŸ˜‰Β  Right now we are listening to two different types of music, kids songs and Christmas music! lolΒ  Never a dull moment here! πŸ˜‰

I have a guest with me today, Nanci Simmons from FL:)Β  I’ll be showing her cards after I post mine:)Β  I’m going to be posting my card to three different challenges, a first for me! πŸ™‚Β  I usually post one card for each challenge, but I’m pressed for time this week:(

The challenges I will be entering are:Β  Freshly Made Sketches #199.

The Friday Mashup #221.

FM221Here’s your Mashup Challenge :

  • Create a project using shades ofΒ Dijon, Olive, Razzleberry.
  • Create a project inspired by Summer Flowers.
  • or Mash it Up! and create a “Summer Flowers Project using the colors above.

And Send A Smile 4 Kids, Clean and Simple Challenge.

That’s a big job for one little CAS card!

abSDC17225This card has an amazing pre-colored, digital image by Fred She Said Designs! πŸ™‚Β  The image I’m using is called Wheelbarrow Digi & Pre-Coloured.Β  The sentiment is a Stampin’ Up! stamp, I don’t know what set it’s from, because I bought just this one stamp:(Β  Maybe someone reading this will know:)Β  The saying seems very appropriate for our SAS4Kids hospitals:)Β  It says:Β  “Every day holds the possibility of a miracle” by Elizabeth David. Β

At the bottom I added a strip of Daffodil Delight, embossed with a retired Stampin’ Up! embossing folder, Needlepoint Border.Β  I added a samll piece of Wild Wassabi.Β  I’d be hard pressed to make it much more clean and simple, although I could, just don’t want to;) lolΒ  The background color is also Stampin’ Up!, Pacific Point, one of my favorite blues! πŸ™‚

Well, that’s my card for today, now on to my guest, Nanci Simmons! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAΒ  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAre these too cute! ?Β  Nanci has sent multiples of her cards, but they’re all a little bit different:)Β  Different papers make the cards different enough for two kids to receive the same card on the same hospital unit:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAΒ  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAYou can see that Nanci is a master at changing a few things to make the cards different! πŸ™‚Β  These are all hand colored! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAMore hand colored cared, all are great for boys! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI’ve never tried these, but Nanci says they are easy and fun to make:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAΒ  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERALook at these 4 cards! πŸ™‚Β  Nanci is so good at matching paper and styles! πŸ™‚Β  I love all of these and once again, these could all go to the same hospital unit and everyone would be happy! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAΒ  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERALast two cards tonight, I love both of these! πŸ™‚Β  I love Nanci’s wide variety of papers, colors and layouts! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Nanci, all these cards will be great for our kids! πŸ™‚ All these cards, as well as my card, are going to hospitals sponsored by Send A Smile 4 Kids! πŸ™‚

Thanks for coming by today, I’m thankful for your interest! πŸ™‚Β  Even if you don’t send cards to SAS4Kids, you can still get plenty of good ideas from all the cards posted:)Β  I am always interested in your comments or questions! πŸ™‚Β  Have a great week! πŸ™‚

Merry Monday #167, Freshly Made #197 & SAS4Kids

Wow, I have a lot going on today, and I also have a guest!Β  Are you ready?Β  Here is the info for Merry Monday #167:

167Here is the card I made, I wanted to do something different……

SDC17078bYes, there is a tiny heart, you probably need to click on it to see;)Β  There is a little green angel holding up a heart down by the “a” in Peace.Β  I was going through my storage and I found these little gift tags.Β  I outlined it with silver line peeloffs and the added the Holly leaf peeloffs.Β  The Merry Christmas is also a peeloff.Β  Peeloffs are very popular in other countries, you can get them in the USA.Β  I’ve found them here, look under stickers. I used Stampin’ Up! Real Red as my cardstock highlight color.

FMS+Final+197-001Freshly Made Sketches #197 is a sketch.Β  You all know I stay pretty close to the sketch;)

SDC17052Supplies for this card are all over the place!Β  I used some tree looking paper and the gray paper, both printed on my printer, from Raspberry Road.Β  Both are digital papers from different sets.Β  I should have written it down, but I didn’t:(Β  IΒ  have tons of digital kits from Raspberry Road!Β  If anyone wants to know which sets, please just ask and I’ll look it up:)

The branch was cut from the same paper using a Quick Kutz die.Β  I couldn’t decide if I wanted in front of back, front won.Β  The moon was cut with the new Stampin’ Up! 2 inch circle punch, from Stampin’ Up! Crushed Curry.Β  Of course, I used the Stampin’ Up! owl punch.Β  The eyes are Stampin’ Up! Melon Mambo.Β  The owl gray front came from one of the Stampin’ Up! Halloween papers, I didn’t write that down either, I’m so sorry:(Β  But, I know the Happy Halloween stamp came from the Stampin’ Up! set Teeny Tiny WishesπŸ™‚

Both of my cards are going into boxes for Send A Smile 4 Kids! πŸ™‚Β  SAS4Kids has a challenge blog, and this week the challenge is Christmas in July, check it out! πŸ™‚

Now I have a guest today, Donna Wakefield from IN.Β  Donna is a repeating card donor and she also has a blog of her own.Β  You can go visit her and see what else she’s up to:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAren’t these too cute?!Β  Donna might say on her blog where she got these adorable penquins:)Β  I love all the blues! πŸ™‚Β  All Donna’s cards will be going to one of my 3 hospitals, supplied by SAS4Kids! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERADonna send a number of these, and that’s ok, because I have 3 hospitals to share with! πŸ™‚Β  These are awesome, and there are a couple more different designs! πŸ™‚

Some really pretty girly cards!Β  I don’t know, maybe boys like flowers too:)Β  This looks like a Stampin’ Up! set:)Β  Really pretty colors! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAWow, these cards look really fun! πŸ™‚Β  Who doesn’t like balloons or kites?!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAΒ Β Β  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI love this cute little birthday puppy, but the sand castle is my favorite today!Β  If you look close, you can see little footprints in the sand near the center!Β  Don’t you just love it? !Β  The sentiment is appropriate, because the whole card looks dreamy to me! πŸ™‚

Thank you Donna for sending more fun and encouraging cards to our kids! πŸ™‚

Thanks for coming by today! πŸ™‚Β  I hope you enjoyed viewing all the cards! πŸ™‚Β  I plan to be back soon with more cards to share! πŸ™‚

Merry Monday #166, SAS4Kids and guests

I have another card! πŸ™‚Β  I think I’m catching up with my schedule……for right now anyway;)Β  We’ll see how it goes:)Β  So today, I have a card for Merry Monday #166.Β Β  This is a two week challenge for the Summer.Β  Finally, I’m not posting my card on the last day! πŸ˜‰Β  Here’s their challenge for the next two weeks:

166I know, penguins are so cute! πŸ™‚Β  However, if I have a penguin stamp, I have no idea where it is:(Β  But not to worry, I went over to Doodle Pantry and used a digital image:)Β  I actually made a special request for this set it’s called, Winter Birthday.Β  I have a number of birthdays during the Winter months, so I figured other people must too:)Β  Now with most of my cards going to Send A Smile 4 Kids, it’s really nice to have a Winter Birthday set:)Β  So here is my card for this challenge:

Isn’t this too cute! ?Β  The other main image in the set is a snowman with a birthday cake.Β  The set includes some patterned paper, some plain papers, and some embellishments.Β  I used the patterned paper, the solid papers, the sentiment and the penguin, all from the same set.Β  I printed the penguin on my matte photo paper, trimmed it to the size I wanted, and then ran it through my Big Shot with an embossing folder from Stampin’ Up! (retired).Β  This card has been approved by all my grandchildren, at least the ones that live with me;)

Oh, dear, I almost forgot!Β  I’m going to enter this card in theΒ  ANTS IN MY PANTRY DIGITAL CHALLENGE 7, over at Doodle Pantry.Β  They’re have a Sale going on right now, so go check them out here! πŸ™‚

Now, on to my first guest, Terri Rizzo.Β  Terri sent cards in to me for Send A Smile 4 KidsπŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAΒ  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERALook at this cute card! πŸ™‚Β  I don’t know where Terri got this image, but I think it’s great for kids!Β  Here is a photo of the back also.Β  It has a little pull out that holds the card upright! πŸ™‚Β  So simple, yet I’ve never thought to do it!Β  I know one of our kids will love this for their birthday! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAnother fun card from Terri:)Β  The one on the left looks like the cow and the words are both tipping over.Β  I wonder if she did that on purpose?

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERATerri definitely has a sense of humor:)Β  I know this image came from Doodle Pantry, but I looked everywhere and can’t find it in the store.Β  If I find it, I’ll update this post:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAOne more from Doodle Pantry.Β  This one is called, Toy Truck Ants.Β  I own this set too, I love it! πŸ™‚

I know all of these images came from Mo’s Digital Pencil.Β  They come b&w and you have to color them yourself.Β  The one on the left is bubbles boy.Β  The blue and red cards are Superduper Boy, and Superduper Girl.Β  I love all these cards!Β  Great cards for kids and wonderful coloring by Terri! πŸ™‚

Just a few more cards, I want to squeeze in some cards from Bev Schoepke.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAΒ  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI don’t know where Bev got this cute ribbon, but I know she used the Cupcake Builder Punch from Stampin’ Up!Β  Too cute! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is a great card too:)Β  Nice bright colors:)Β  Bev sent multiples of each of these cards, she also sent some Christmas cards that I’ll share at another time.Β  Thank you Bev and Terri for a wonderful group of cards!:)Β  All cards are appreciated by me and the kids we serve at Send A Smile 4 Kids!! πŸ™‚

Thanks for coming by today! πŸ™‚Β  I hope you enjoyed all the cards I was able to share! πŸ™‚Β  Hope to see you again soon:)

Merry Monday #165 and SAS4Kids

Here’s another really short post.Β  I’ve been working on this card for two days!Β  Hubby has been off work all the kids are home and my daughter took two day trips and let me with everyone!Β  It’s been slow going making a card:(Β  But, everyone is finally in bed and I have a few minutes before I fall over and go to sleep!Β  This card actually took a while because I had to search for all the components and I changed my mind half way though;)

I’m going to enter this card in the Merry Monday #165 challengeπŸ™‚ This weeks challenge is candles and flowers:)Β  Of course, my card will be going into the Christmas box for Send A Smile 4 Kids! πŸ™‚

165Now, I was going in a totally different direction with this card, I even had the design “approved” by my daughter;)Β  I was going to use gold glitter paper as my background and gold ribbon.Β  Well, that’s not what I made;) lol

This is the paper I started with, I didn’t make it, I found it on Etsy listed as Bokeh Christmas Digital Paper.Β  I love this paper!Β  It’s actually a deeper red down on the leftΒ  and bottom.Β  I have so much trouble getting all the colors to look just right with the lighting I have available:(

The Bokeh looked like reflections of the candle light to me.Β  Anyway…..I used an image from Fred She Said called, Christmas Rose Coloured Set.Β  I cut it out with a Spellbinders die, and popped it up with Stampin’ Up! dimentionals.Β  I also used Stampin’ Up! 1/8″ Ribbon Taffeta (retired).Β  The top corner snow is called Snowflake Corner, by Memory Box.

I’m still living partially out of boxes, so I had to search for my ribbon and my Memory Box die, so annoying! 😦  I was going to use what I had on hand (gold) but then decided I really wanted the white:)Β  I hope you like my card, it really was Simply Made;)

Thanks for coming by to look at my blog! πŸ™‚Β  Most people will probably be out watching fireworks, but two of my little ones are afraid of the noise, so I put them down early, hoping they would sleep through it.Β  So sad:(Β  Lawrence was actually excited about the fireworks until he remembered how loud they are:(Β Β  I hope you all have had a safe and happy 4th! πŸ™‚
