Doodle Pantry & Send A Smile 4 Kids

I’ve been sick for a few days, and I’m afraid it may get worse, before it gets better 😦  Probably just a cold, I don’t understand how they can make you feel so miserable! 😦

I have the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog near the top on the right side of my page! πŸ™‚Β  You can order now if you’re interested, I’d be happy to be your Demonstrator! πŸ™‚

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the beginnings of Fall ! πŸ™‚Β  I love Fall and I have a number of cards to share with you today! πŸ™‚

First is my card for the Doodle Pantry sponsorship of Send A Smile 4 Kids! πŸ™‚Β  I will enter it in both blogs πŸ™‚

asdc11212

Hmmm, it looks blurry here, but if you click to enlarge, it looks just fine πŸ™‚ I used some misc. paper on the right, a couple stickers on the left, and an digital image by one of our sponsors, Doodle Pantry! πŸ™‚Β  To make the card, I used Thinlits-Circle Card die (retired) by Stampin’ Up!Β  It’s so easy to make this cute card ! πŸ™‚

Now for some fun SAS4Kids donor cards! πŸ™‚Β  First I want to show some cards from my friend,Β  Jill Blasche of TX πŸ™‚Β  She has made some great examples of Fall themed cards that aren’t Halloween.Β  She also has sent in some cards made for two of my hospitals and then changed them up just a little, so they can go to my hospital with no embellishments πŸ™‚

Ok, the orange one looks kind of Halloween, but it doesn’t have to be πŸ˜‰Β  Both cards are made two ways.Β  On the orange card, it’s made with googly eyes on the left, and on the right, it has just card stock eyes.Β  On the leaf card, on the right, you can see she used some string and a button.Β  On the left there is a paper button and just a strip of card stock in brown.Β  All of the cards are great and with minimal effort, changed into a card with no embellishments!

Again, the black card could be Halloween, but it has a general sentiment.Β  The black card on the left has ribbon, and the one on the right has card stock that looks like a ribbon πŸ™‚Β  The pumpkin card has a nice Fall theme, with a general sentiment.Β  the one on the right has ribbon and three gems.Β  The one on the right has green card stock and three punched holes to represent gems, very clever πŸ™‚

Two more that look like Halloween, but have general sentiments, and two more that are very Fall looking πŸ™‚

Four general cards included in the box, I love the birds! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Jill for all these wonderful cards! πŸ™‚

Next I have cards from Diane Herniman from ON, Canada πŸ™‚Β  Diane makes wonderful cards with flowers from her garden and her dog, birds, and other live or flying things in her yard!

This is the front and inside of one of Diane’s cards.

On the left is the front and back of the card, and on the right is the inside πŸ™‚

All card fronts, gorgeous photos! πŸ™‚

On the left are two fronts and on the right is the envelope and card front πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Diane for your beautiful cards! πŸ™‚

Next is Yara Baird from WA,and she has a blog you can visit HERE.Β  Yara may have sent to other volunteers at SAS4Kids, but she is new to me πŸ™‚ Yara has sent in a wide variety in her box! πŸ™‚

Summer all the way to New Year! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Yara for your wonderful cards! I know the kids will enjoy these cards! πŸ™‚

I know, it’s a long blog, but I’ve been gone a while πŸ˜‰Β  One last donor, and that is Vicki Luebke of IN πŸ™‚Β  Vicki sends in a lot of cards, she is really good with encouragement cards! πŸ™‚

Great cards, Vicki, wonderful selection! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Vicki for your continued support of our kids! πŸ™‚

All of the card makers on my team are talented and generous!! πŸ™‚Β  I couldn’t do my job without all of you! πŸ™‚

It’s taken me two days to finish this or more, I can’t remember, I hate being sick! 😦

I want to thank all of my cardmakers and everyone who has stopped by today for some inspiration! πŸ™‚Β  I hope to be back soon with a brain that’s not filled with oatmeal!

Freshly Made Sketches #231 & SAS4Kids

I started feeling much better this week after taking some antibiotics! πŸ™‚Β  No one knows what was exactly wrong, but the meds worked, YAY! πŸ™‚

Today I have a card I made for Freshly Made Sketches #231.Β  I will also enter it into our own Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge, which is For Moms or Special Females from kids:)

FMS Final 231-001SDC19882

Yes, I stay pretty close to the sketches;)Β  you’re probably thinking I cut the two pieces on the right.Β  Nope, I actually cut two very small strips of black.Β  I should have added one on the left of my image too, I still may, before sending to one of my hospitals πŸ™‚

The back is black, on top of that is my background image.Β  I should have taken a photo because it’s not a very wide image and what I did was put one image on the left and the other on the right and there is white in the center.Β  You only see one image that way.Β  The background image is from PC Hugware.Β  They’re no longer in business:(Β  But, you can get the cute Nolan & the BullFrog from Fred She Said! πŸ™‚

I was reminded of this image by my daughter telling her kids the other day how her and her brothers went fishing one year and when they came home they knocked on the door.Β  When I went to the door, they had this big bull frog right in my face, made me jump! lol Right away I thought of little Nolan taking his mom a bull frog for Mother’s Day πŸ™‚

The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Teeny Tiny Wishes πŸ™‚

Ok, that’s enough from me, I have two guests today, the first is Ann Merkins of MN πŸ™‚

You really need to click on these and make them bigger! πŸ™‚Β  Ann has told me she makes these cards with napkins!Β  She didn’t tell me how she does it though:(Β  They’re sparkly! πŸ™‚

I have never seen napkins this pretty in my life! πŸ™‚Β  They really make beautiful cards! πŸ™‚

The card on the far left is so beautiful, the colors are stunning!Β  I really like the card on the far right too! πŸ™‚Β  Ann made several quilt cards in different colors and designs, they’re all beautiful! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Ann for such wonderful cards for our kids to share with their moms! πŸ™‚

Next I have Janelle Klapperich of SD πŸ™‚

You all know I love when you use the same papers, layouts or images in different ways! πŸ™‚ The two cards on the left look really different, even though they’re basically the same πŸ˜‰Β  Now I could split these up and send to two different hospitals, but I don’t think it would matter, even if they were on the same floor πŸ˜‰

Janelle uses a lot of Stampin’ Up! products! πŸ™‚Β  All three of the cards to the right are made with Botanical Blooms, stamp and die bundle.Β  Also the one above with the yellow flower πŸ™‚Β  It’s still available in the Stampin’ Up! Spring Occasions Catalog until May 31st! πŸ™‚Β  Yes, I do sell Stampin’ Up!, I just don’t push anyone to buy it πŸ˜‰

I didn’t buy this set, because I didn’t care for the examples I had seen 😦  If I had seen Janelle’s examples I would have had this already! πŸ™‚Β  The green card in the center is gorgeous!Β Β  Janelle did such a great job, you should enlarge it πŸ˜‰

Here’s a peek at some Father’s Day cards! πŸ™‚Β  More Stampin’ Up! products! πŸ™‚Β  These are all great Father’s Day cards! πŸ™‚Β  I really love the plane, and I have that set! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Janelle for sharing these wonderful cards with our kids! πŸ™‚Β  I’m sure the dads will be thrilled! πŸ™‚

Well, I’m off to bed, I won’t stay well if I don’t get my sleep!Β  It snowed here last night and was still on the grass this morning!Β  I hope you all are having some better weather! πŸ™‚

Thanks for coming by today, I hope you all have a great week and come back again soon! πŸ™‚

Merry Monday #197, Easter & SAS4Kids

This has been a horrible month for me! 😦  I had Strep Throat, a cold, and now a Sinus infection! 😦  I am not a happy camper:(

What cheers me up is to make cards, sort cards, box cards & send cards!Β  Actually, anything that involves cards makes me smile! πŸ™‚Β  So I’m here to share some Easter cards with you! πŸ™‚

First, my card, is for Merry Monday #197.

197 aaSDC19704

One of my card makers used this embossing folder by Darise, I loved it so much, I had to get it!Β  It folds up at the corners and looks like a photo frame:)Β  Here’s a side view:

aSDC19709

For this card I used the Darise Embossing Folder, I think it’s actually called Photo Frame.I used Stampin’ Up! Real Red cardstock, White Glimmer Paper, and Wink of Stella clear glitter brush.Β  I used a digital image from BellasScrapsnClips on Etsy.Β  One more photo to show you the Wink of Stella:)

bbSDC19710

I put the Wink of Stella on all the snow, I think it looks really pretty! πŸ™‚Β  Next I have some guests with Easter cards! πŸ™‚Β  First up is Cyndie Reis of CA:)Β  Cyndie has sent in cards a couple of times now:)

Aren’t these cute!?Β  The colors, the papers the cutouts, all are so adorable! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you so much Cyndie for finding us and sending cards in! πŸ™‚

Holly Blaskie is a repeat sender from MI:)

Pretty colors and images, the kids will love these! πŸ™‚

I love these papers and colors, so Springy! πŸ™‚Β  I adore this little lamb from Stampin’ Up! so cute for Easter! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Holly, your cards are always wonderful! πŸ™‚

Lastly I have Lee Mae Elkins of WA:)Β  Lee Mae has her own blog that you can visit here, http://boxesofdogs.blogspot.com/

Lee Mae has sent in a wide variety of cards and very few duplicates, where does she find the time?!

Some really great cards for the boys, and the ones on the right, I think would be great for teens:)

Simple layouts, but great papers and images make them special! πŸ™‚

More cute cards! πŸ™‚

These cards are adorable, love the papers and images!

I love all of these cards!Β  The two on the left are so different from the rest! πŸ™‚Β  The two on the right are also so stinkin’ cute!Β  Thank you Lee Mae for sending so many different cards, I know the kids will love all of them! πŸ™‚

Well, I’m exhausted and ready for bed!Β  Maybe I’ll take a nap and get up again, who knows;)Β  Thanks so much for coming by today, I really appreciate your interest! πŸ™‚Β  I’m hoping to get well at some point soon so I can get back to some kind of schedule.Β  I’m sorry if I’m not as cherry as usual:(

I’m wishing all of you a very Happy Easter, I hope you can enjoy it with people you love! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches #228 & SAS4Kids

I know I say this all the time, but……I am so far behind!Β  I missed a whole week, I’m so sorry! 😦  I’m going to make up for it by showing you lots of cards! πŸ™‚Β  First, I have a card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge #228 πŸ™‚

FMS Final 228-001

aSDC19687

This card is mostly digital, with my main image coming from Raspberry Road Designs πŸ™‚Β  I can’t remember exactly which set it was from, but if you’d like to know just ask:)Β  The blue paper was also in the set, I printed it with the main image on Epson Presentation Paper-MatteΒ  I really like this paper because it’s nice and thick so you can print and cut things and still pop them up if you would like to.Β  The sentiment came from a stamp set that was gifted to me.Β  I think it was Markie’sΒ  Finest Paper, but I won’t swear to that;)Β  I mounted the whole thing onto a white base, because that’s what I usually do:)Β  Quite Simply Made, but I think a kid in the hospital is going to love it when added to a box of Send A Smile 4 Kids cards! πŸ™‚

Now for more SAS4Kids cards, I have a number of guests:)Β  We’ll see how many we can fit in;)Β  First up is Lisa Simokaitis of IL, Lisa is a first time sender to me:)

Lisa sent these really beautiful Easter cards and a number of others:)Β  Thank you Lisa for thinking of our kids, these are beautiful cards for our kids and/or their parents! πŸ™‚Β  I hope to see more of your cards in the future! πŸ™‚

Judy Martin is from PA, and has sent cards a few times:)

Judy has done a lot of water coloring on her cards, lovely! πŸ™‚

Aren’t these adorable! ?Β  I’m not sure about the chicks, but the other 3 cards are Lawn Fawn! πŸ™‚Β  I love how she used the pink polka dot cut-out on the green card! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Judy for being on my team! πŸ™‚

Donna Wakefield has sent cards in many times:)Β  Her cards are usually one of a kind, and they’re always great! πŸ™‚Β  Donna has her own blog that you can go visit:)Β  http://designbydonna.blogspot.com/

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Don’t you just love these!?Β  Be sure to check out Donna’s blog to see how she makes her cards!Β  Thank you Donna for always keeping our kids in mind! πŸ™‚

Next is Andrea La Vigne from TX:)Β  Andrea has sent cards in more than a few times, and she also has a blog you can visit! πŸ™‚Β  http://andreaspaperantics.blogspot.com/

Andrea doesn’t send a lot of cards at a time, but what she sends are great cards! πŸ™‚Β Β  Andrea also does a lot of water coloring:)Β  Thank you Andrea for always sending cards for the kids, I know they love your cards! πŸ™‚

Karin Hendrickson is from MO, she also doesn’t send a lot of cards at one time, but she sends pretty often:)

Karin makes these really beautiful cards, I think they’re screen fold cards, but I’m not sure.Β  Beside Easter she sent a number for Mother’s Day, which hopefully I’ll remember to show you at a later time;)Β  I love all the cute images and the flower is just beautiful in hand! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Here’s a closer look, isn’t this wonderful! ?Β  She’s sent these in before for other holidays, these must be so much fun for the kids to sit next to their beds! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Karin for making such thoughtful, and fun cards for our kids! πŸ™‚

I told you, tons of cards today! πŸ™‚Β  Two more guests!Β  First is Jan Kloss of TX:)Β  Jan is a friend of my friend Jill Blasche:)Β  They like to get together and craft, so you’ll see some of the same papers used by each, but their cards are not the same:)

Jan’s cards are so cute, I actually used some for Easter and some for Spring, she sent multiples of each of these! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Jan, I love seeing your cards in Jill’s boxes! πŸ™‚

Jill Blasche is a good friend of mine from TX:)Β  I love getting her cards, she always sends multiples so each of my three hospitals are sure to get some! πŸ™‚

On the left are two of Jill’s examples of how she makes for my “regular” hospitals and for my “no embellishment” hospital.Β  She is so clever, they are pretty much the same, but the “regular” hospitals get ribbon and gems, the “no embellishment hospital doesn’t.Β  Not so hard, if I didn’t tell you, you probably wouldn’t see the difference;)Β  On the right, you can see some of the paper Jan used, but the cards don’t look the same:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

I love these two cards! πŸ™‚Β  The one on the left is great for my “no embellishment” hospital and the one on the right is great for my other hospitals! πŸ™‚Β  Same sentiment, but totally different cards! πŸ™‚Β  Thank you Jill for always being open to a challenge and thinking of all my kids! πŸ™‚

I hope I didn’t wear you all out today with all the wonderful examples of cards to make for kids, or anyone! πŸ™‚Β  I can’t express how much my card makers mean to me and the kids I serve! πŸ™‚

I want to thank everyone for coming by today! πŸ™‚Β  I hope I can come back sooner to share some more great cards with you all! πŸ™‚

Be sure to visit the SAS4Kids challenge blog to see more cards or to join in! πŸ™‚Β  Tomorrow will start a new challenge, “For the Boys”.

Merry Monday #191, Valentines, SAS4Kids

I think this is going to be a long post loaded with card photos today! πŸ™‚Β  I’m starting this Sat. night, we’ll see if I get done before Sunday;) lol

First, I have the card I made for Merry Monday #191.Β  Actually, I made three, everyone kept coming by my desk and saying “try it this way”.Β  Good grandma that I am, I agreed:)Β  Here’s their challenge this week:)

191

The one on the left, is the one I wanted, until I made it and then the snow seemed too big:(Β  The one on the right, my younger granddaughter wanted with the bunny:)

aSDC19169

This is the one my older granddaughter wanted me to make.Β  I really like her idea so this is the one I’m going to enter in the challenge:)Β  I used some digital images from three different artists on Etsy.Β  For the base, I used Stampin’ Up! Marina Mist:)

Now, because Sunday is Valentine’s Day, all of my guests have sent in Valentine’s for Send A Smile 4 Kids to share! πŸ™‚Β  My first guest is Sandy Borsheim of MN.Β  Sandy has sent in cards a number of times:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

I think by now, everyone knows my fondness for cards that are the same, but different;)Β  Same images, different papers:)

My next guest has also sent cards a number of times, Brenda Zellner of WI:)

I want to thank everyone who’s stopped by to enjoy all of these wonderful cards! πŸ™‚Β  I hope you come again!Β  I don’t have very many Easter cards yet, but I’ll be sharing what I do have and I have lots of misc. cards to share if I run out of Easter! πŸ™‚

Merry Monday #170 and SAS4Kids

I’m back with one of my own cards and a guest cardmaker who sends cards to me for Send A Smile 4 KidsπŸ™‚Β  My card is going to be entered into the challenge over at Merry Monday #170 πŸ™‚Β  I think I’m even early this time because it’s a two week challenge for Sept. πŸ™‚Β  This challenge is to use Holly on your card.

easy-christmas-ideas-151

aSDC17419For my card, I used a beautiful image from Fred She Said called, Poinsettia & Holly Pre-Coloured Set. It comes with red flowers or white, and a number of different versions:)Β  I used Stampin’ Up! products to finish off my card.Β  Real Red cardstock for my base, Hand-Penned Holidays (retired) stamp set, Dazzling Details on the flower centers, and Crystal Effects on the berries to give it some depth and shine:)Β  I finished my card with the gold embossed sentiment.Β  Yes, I still use a Stamp-a-ma-jig;)

aSDC17421Here’s a closer look, the flower centers are sparlky, it’s hard to tell about the berries, but it’s easy to see in hand:)Β  This card will be going into a box for SAS4Kids because we try to send enough cards at Christmas for the kids to give cards to their parents or caregivers:)

Now for my guest I have Janelle Klapperich:)Β  I’ve shown cards by Janelle before, she has great cards with lots of different designs:)Β  Today I have some misc. cards and some Halloween.

Friday Mashup # 217 & SAS4Kids

Just a short post right now, I brought myself down to the wire for entering this cards into the Friday Mashup #217 challenge! 😦  I think during the summer, challenges should be for two weeks, just my personal opinion;)Β  With all the kids home from school and lots of extra activities, it’s sometimes hard to get any cards made! πŸ˜‰Β  Anyway…..I got a card made, but didn’t have time to prepare my other photos, so I will be back later tonight or tomorrow with more cards:)

FM217

This week’s Mashup Challenge:
  • Create a project with the “Sketch.”
  • Create a project with a “Pet theme.”
  • or Mash it Up and create a project with “Pets using the Sketch.”

FSS Emma 17036This is a Fred She Said digital image called, Emma & RoseyπŸ™‚Β  The set actually comes with the dress in a lot of different colors.Β  Or you can get just Emma, or either one in outline so you can color them yourself:)Β  I freely admit that I like to use pre-colored digital images because I just don’t color well! 😦  But Tracey does a wonderful job for me! πŸ˜‰

The dog print paper I got from Etsy, I just entered “digital paper, dog paw prints” in the search bar.Β  I used Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight for the accent color, the sentiment is stamped in Stampin’ Up! Early Espresso.Β  The embossing folder if from Stampin’ Up!, it’s retired, but I love it:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThe embossing folder runs the long way, so I cut my paper and ran it through my Big Shot.Β  I then taped the two pieces together with two small pieces of tape and then taped and glued the whole thing to my card.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is a photo of how I tape and glue.Β  I want them to find my cards still in one piece in 100 years! lolΒ  I use Tombow glue, you need to use little dots!Β  If you use too much of this glue, it will get your paper wet, just like any glue, but with tiny dots it will be fine and it will hold really well! πŸ™‚

Tombow glueThis card will be going into a box for Send A Smile 4 Kids, of course;)Β  I’ll be back soon with more SAS4Kids cards to share! πŸ™‚

Thanks for coming by today! πŸ™‚Β  Feel free to add comments or questions:)

Merry Monday #166, SAS4Kids and guests

I have another card! πŸ™‚Β  I think I’m catching up with my schedule……for right now anyway;)Β  We’ll see how it goes:)Β  So today, I have a card for Merry Monday #166.Β Β  This is a two week challenge for the Summer.Β  Finally, I’m not posting my card on the last day! πŸ˜‰Β  Here’s their challenge for the next two weeks:

166I know, penguins are so cute! πŸ™‚Β  However, if I have a penguin stamp, I have no idea where it is:(Β  But not to worry, I went over to Doodle Pantry and used a digital image:)Β  I actually made a special request for this set it’s called, Winter Birthday.Β  I have a number of birthdays during the Winter months, so I figured other people must too:)Β  Now with most of my cards going to Send A Smile 4 Kids, it’s really nice to have a Winter Birthday set:)Β  So here is my card for this challenge:

abSDC16900

Isn’t this too cute! ?Β  The other main image in the set is a snowman with a birthday cake.Β  The set includes some patterned paper, some plain papers, and some embellishments.Β  I used the patterned paper, the solid papers, the sentiment and the penguin, all from the same set.Β  I printed the penguin on my matte photo paper, trimmed it to the size I wanted, and then ran it through my Big Shot with an embossing folder from Stampin’ Up! (retired).Β  This card has been approved by all my grandchildren, at least the ones that live with me;)

Oh, dear, I almost forgot!Β  I’m going to enter this card in theΒ  ANTS IN MY PANTRY DIGITAL CHALLENGE 7, over at Doodle Pantry.Β  They’re have a Sale going on right now, so go check them out here! πŸ™‚

Now, on to my first guest, Terri Rizzo.Β  Terri sent cards in to me for Send A Smile 4 KidsπŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAΒ  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERALook at this cute card! πŸ™‚Β  I don’t know where Terri got this image, but I think it’s great for kids!Β  Here is a photo of the back also.Β  It has a little pull out that holds the card upright! πŸ™‚Β  So simple, yet I’ve never thought to do it!Β  I know one of our kids will love this for their birthday! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAnother fun card from Terri:)Β  The one on the left looks like the cow and the words are both tipping over.Β  I wonder if she did that on purpose?

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERATerri definitely has a sense of humor:)Β  I know this image came from Doodle Pantry, but I looked everywhere and can’t find it in the store.Β  If I find it, I’ll update this post:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAOne more from Doodle Pantry.Β  This one is called, Toy Truck Ants.Β  I own this set too, I love it! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAΒ  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

I know all of these images came from Mo’s Digital Pencil.Β  They come b&w and you have to color them yourself.Β  The one on the left is bubbles boy.Β  The blue and red cards are Superduper Boy, and Superduper Girl.Β  I love all these cards!Β  Great cards for kids and wonderful coloring by Terri! πŸ™‚

Just a few more cards, I want to squeeze in some cards from Bev Schoepke.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAΒ  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI don’t know where Bev got this cute ribbon, but I know she used the Cupcake Builder Punch from Stampin’ Up!Β  Too cute! πŸ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is a great card too:)Β  Nice bright colors:)Β  Bev sent multiples of each of these cards, she also sent some Christmas cards that I’ll share at another time.Β  Thank you Bev and Terri for a wonderful group of cards!:)Β  All cards are appreciated by me and the kids we serve at Send A Smile 4 Kids!! πŸ™‚

SAS4Kids guest Diane H.

Some of you know that I’m collecting cards for Send A Smile For Kids.Β  For anyone who doesn’t know about SAS4K, it’s an organization that distributes handmade cards to Children’s Hospitals, in the USA and Canada.Β  I am collecting cards from people in the USA who make them and send them on to me.Β  I put labels on the back or add our stamp, add envelopes if needed and pack them by category. I then deliver them to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois.Β  A very worthy cause and if you are at all interested in sending in some cards, contact me by my email on the side bar, or leave a comment:)

Now on to a card! πŸ™‚Β  Today I have a card sent in for the children.Β  I’ve contacted the sender and she has agreed I can show some of her cards:)Β  I’m only showing one card today because I’m going to show you the inside, outside and the envelope!Β  This is not a typical card, so if you would like to send some cards, please don’t feel they need to look like this one!Β  I just want to showcase some of her cards because they give me some great ideas to share and learn from.Β  And they are just plain awesome! πŸ™‚

The guest for today is Diane H. from ON, Canada.Β  Even her envelopes are all handmade!Β  Diane includes a sticker to close the envelope:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the handmade envelope, the big square appears to be printed off her computer.Β Β  The Arrr! is a flat sticker, and the coins are a 3D sticker.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAIf you’ve ever wondered how to use stickers to make an incredible card, here you go!Β  The island, water, trees and bird look like one big, thin cardboard cutout.Β  I’m saying it’s a sticker, but I don’t know for sure, I don’t think you could make something this elaborate with a Circuit machine, but I actually don’t know.Β  The little pirate is a sparkly 3D sticker, as well as the pirate patch.Β  The circle with words appears to be a computer print out, cut with a die or punch.Β  Under all that is the striped paper/cardstock.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the inside, now I have to say most cards are totally blank inside, you do not have to do anything on the inside of any card you send.Β  I am just amazed at the work that has gone into these cards! πŸ™‚Β  A cute find a word game, a nice little saying, great paper and look at those cute stickers!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the back of the card!Β  No, this isn’t required either, and as of yet, this is the only person who has sent cards in the manner.Β  But, wow, more cute sayings, stickers and some nice cardstock!Β  I had a hard time trying to find somewhere to put our SAS4K label!

I am very impressed by this card, and I know some child will be too!Β  But this is an example.Β  I am not promoting this card as better than any other card!Β  Children love to receive any card!!Β  That anyone would take the time to make and send in a handmade card, says so much about that person!Β  Please, if you are considering making and sending any cards, know that all types of handmade cards are accepted, as long as you’ve done your best, you’re cards are greatly appreciated!!!:)

I plan on sharing many cards from our cardmakers:)Β  Most of them are not at this skill level, but I consider them all to be wonderful cards!! πŸ™‚ I am so thankful for every single person who makes and sends cards to SAS4Kids!!!! πŸ™‚Β

I’ve decided to share one more card, I just received permission to use it.Β  This card is made by Holly B. from Sherwood, MI.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAOk, this is a very good example of what most of the cards received look like:)Β  The inside and the back are blank, but look how cute it is! πŸ™‚Β  Perfect balance, beautiful colors, and a simple design.Β  I love the jelly bean paper! πŸ™‚Β  The little bunny is a sticker, and I think the Happy Easter is computer generated. It has three little sparkly, circle stickers up in the top left, and has multiple layers.Β  This card is a perfect example of a card for the younger children, although it would be good for anyone up to teens.Β  I think it would be best for children who might pull off 3D layers, buttons, or ribblons and put them in their mouths. Everything is glued/taped down really well and safe for little hands!Β  The colors are bright and cheerful, a wonderful card!:)

Here’s an update from the cardmaker, Holly B.Β  The sentiment Hoppy Easter is actually a stamp from Paper Wishes/Hot Off The Press, as well as the 3 Jewel Dazzles in the left upper corner.Β  The bunny sticker & jelly bean paper are Doodlebug.

Both of these cards are great examples of how to make cards!!Β  They both have a place to fill for our children.Β  We also encourage children to send cards to their families.Β  This would be an awesome card for a child to pick and send to their parents or siblings! πŸ™‚

I know you come to see cards and not hear me babble on, I am just so passionate about cards for children! πŸ™‚Β  Please share my blog link or the link for Send A Smile 4 Kids.Β  The more cards we receive, the more hospitals and children we can share with! πŸ™‚

Thanks for coming by today, I hope to see you again!:)
