Send A Smile 4 Kids & guests June 2018

OMGoodness, I can’t believe I haven’t been here since March, I’m so sorry!!ย  There is never a dull moment around here!!ย  School is out for the Summer and my grandson is home with me all day ๐Ÿ™‚ย  He turned 7 in May, and he asks lots of questions! lolย  I also have four of my granddaughters right down the street, and I had my grandson’s half sister here for 5 weeks, from the end of March.ย  Okay, I remember, I didn’t get much done while she was here, she just turned 4 in April! lol

I joined the design team at Send A Smile 4 kids, and I will attempt to post a blog twice a month.ย  I’ll try really hard, honest ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I have a card I made for this weeks challenge at SAS4Kids, and I’ll show you in case you missed it ๐Ÿ™‚ย  You can also go other there and check out the other cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Here’s my card:

For this card, I used a paper package by the loose paper at Michaels.ย  It was intended for scrapbooking, but I cut the papers all down and made a number of cards, some you may see later ๐Ÿ˜‰ I used Stampin’ Up! Real Red for my base and banner.ย  I used a stamp from my stash, the printed paper and the stickers came in the package.ย  I really like how it came out, I think it will be great for a teen or pre-teen.ย  I’m thinking boy, but who knows ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess there are more female super heroes now, but I can only think of two at the moment.

Okay, on we go, I have two guests for you today, the first guest is Barbara Suits of CO.ย  Barbara makes awesome shaped cards!ย  Barbara does not claim that she designed any of these cards, she just made them for our kids ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Barbara for sharing your talents with us! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I know our kids will enjoy every one of these cards! ๐Ÿ™‚

Next I have a donor who sent cards about a year ago and I didn’t hear from her for a while.ย  Here are the newest cards sent to me for our kids from Paula Kysilka of FL ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank youย Paula, your cards are wonderful and I’m sure the kids will enjoy the insides as well as the outsides! ๐Ÿ™‚

There have been some changes on my blog site since the last time I posted and it seems I can’t post as many cards as I used to ๐Ÿ˜ฆย ย  Please know that I love and appreciate all the cards I receive for our kids, I just don’t have room for them all!

I’d like to thank all of my card donors for the love and care they put into the cards they make for our kids! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Without you we would have very little to share! ๐Ÿ™‚

If anyone would like to be a volunteer or a donor, please let us know on our FB page, Send A Smile 4 Kids-USA, or our contact page at SAS4Kids ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you all for coming by today whether you are part of our group or just searching for inspiration! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I appreciate your interest whoever you are! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Hopefully I’ll be back in two weeks, see you then! ๐Ÿ™‚

Send A Smile 4 Kids March 2018

I am so sorry that I have been so slow in posting! ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  I’m going to try and post at least twice a month ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I’m going to be joining the SAS4Kids Design Team in May, 2018 ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Hopefully that will keep me on track with twice a month ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m going to be entering this card into the SAS4Kids challenge, Anything Goes/Cards for Boys.ย ย  Here is my card for boys:

This card was made with a stamp from Stampin’ Up! called Magical Day.ย  I used a sentiment from my stash and digital paper that I found on Esty.ย  The circles are both dies from Stampin’ Up!ย  This card was fun and easy, I’m hoping a boy at one of our hospitals will really like it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Now on to some guests! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  First I have Janelle Klapperich of SD with Mother’s Day and Father’s Day cards! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Janelle, for these wonderful cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I love how you made Mother’s Day cards with only sentiments and beautiful papers! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Your Father’s Day cards are simple but effective ๐Ÿ™‚ย  A wonderful section of each! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I’m assuming you will send more Father’s Day cards ๐Ÿ˜‰

Next is Diane Herniman from Canada ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Diane and Janelle are both repeat senders and I appreciate their continued support of our kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

Diane always finds such wonderful papers! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Her cards are also very unique ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thank you Diane for these beautiful cards for Mother’s Day, I’m sure our kids will love sharing them with their moms! ๐Ÿ™‚

I am so thankful for those of you who support our cause! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I’m also thankful for those just coming by to look and get some inspiration! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Please visit again and hopefully I will be making more posts per month! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches #289 and SAS4Kids

I’m back, today I have guest cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids, and a card for Freshly Made Sketches #289.ย  So off we go with the sketch for Freshly Made ๐Ÿ™‚

FMS Final 289-001

Here is my card:

For this card I used some images from Fred She Said’s store called Daisies & LadyBugs.ย  Right now she has brand new butterflies! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  There are lots of options in her sets.ย  Here I used a cloud background in JPG format.ย  The flower and ladybugs are PNGs.ย  The JPG format has a white background, the PNGs have a clear background so you can layer your images.

I fussy cut the flower including the ladybugs and left it hang over the left side and bottom of the cloud background I cut in a square.ย  I think this will make a really cute card for one of our kids at Send A Smile 4 Kids ๐Ÿ™‚

Now we have Father’s Day cards sent in by our SAS4Kids donors! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  First I have Diane Herniman from Canada ๐Ÿ™‚

The insides and the backs of Diane’s cards are always decorated too!ย  Thank you Diane for your continued support of our kids in the hospital ! ๐Ÿ™‚

Now some cards from Brenda Zellner of WI ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Brenda has done an awesome job of taking the same images and making them look different! ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, my, I see I’ve done it again ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  My hands are getting shaky and my eyes are not as good as they used to be, I can see in some of my photos today, that they are a littleย ย  blurry ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  I look at every one of these when I put the names on them, apparently my eyes are getting bad enough that I don’t see the blurry ones until I post them here ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  I’m so sorry, please forgive me.ย  I’m going to have to dig out my tripod ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Thank you Brenda for these wonderful Father’s Day cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I love how you used the same image more than once! ๐Ÿ™‚

On to Tammy Gullett of IA ๐Ÿ™‚

Tammy sent in multiples of her cards as well using the same images but different backgrounds ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thank you Tammy, I’m so glad you were able to make some cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Please take care of yourself! ๐Ÿ™‚

Donna Wakefield is next, she has a blog, you can visit here here ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Donna for these great cards for kids to share with their dads! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thanks for taking my challenge of sending at least 10 cards! ๐Ÿ™‚

Lastly I have Jill Blasche of TX, and her card making friend, Jan Kloss, also of TX ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I don’t know how far they live apart, but they get together and make cards for our kids, what could be more fun ? ๐Ÿ™‚

Jill Blasche

Ok, now I know these cards were not blurry on the preview page, but the last two are blurry here ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  Try clicking on the blurry images.ย  The plane cards are beautiful, I’d like for you to really see them!

Jan Kloss

Jan sent multiples of each of these cards ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thank you Jill and Jan for the wonderful cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I’m so glad you can get together, have fun and share what you make with our kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

I want to thank all of “my” card makers for continuing to support such a good cause! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Even though I make fewer cards now, I really enjoy receiving boxes and sorting your cards into boxes for my hospitals! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  You are all so talented and generous, the world is a better place because of you! ๐Ÿ™‚

If you’re just stopping by for some inspiration, I hope you found something that you might be able make! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  There is plenty of inspiration here for next year as well ! ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend ! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Please remember those who have fought and fallen to preserve our way of life!

Thanks for coming by today, I appreciate your interest! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches #286 and Guests

Well, this is fast for me, twice in one week! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I have some cards to share and then I have cards from donors to share! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  First I have a card I will be entering in the Freshly Made Sketches #286 challenge ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Here’s the sketch ๐Ÿ™‚

FMS Final 286-001

Ok, it’s really close to the sketch, and I like it, but I made two more! lolย  Yep, my grandson was being really good and he let me play for a while! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Here’s the second one I made :

The first two cards are considered “no embellishment” cards.ย  Everything is flat and glued down.ย  Nothing extra that could be pulled off ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now here’s the third card I made, a little different.

This one is technically not “no embellishment”.ย  I popped up the shark with dimentionals, it could be pulled off.ย  I used Avery Elle stamps and dies ๐Ÿ™‚ I used Copics to color, only because I happen to have 3 markers, two greys and one purple. lol

One of our donors sent in some cards a while ago with the Avery Elle sharks.ย ย  I knew I wanted to use it for some teen cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Here are her cards for your inspiration! ๐Ÿ™‚

Now, since I’ve already mailed out our Mother’s Day cards, here are some Father’s Day cards that I’ve already received ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Vicki Luebke of IN is first, she’s sent in small groups of cards three times! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Vicki for these great Father’s Day cards, there seems to be one for almost every type of dad! ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s a few from Janelle Klapperich of SD ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Janelle, I love how different your cards are! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Love all the different Tee Shirts! ๐Ÿ™‚

And lastly, here are a few from Debbie Caldwell of MI ๐Ÿ™‚

The last four could be used for teen boys or Father’s Day, whatever might be needed more ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thank you Debbie for these great cards, I don’t have anything like it so far! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you ladies for sending these cards early, I like to be prepared as early as I can ๐Ÿ™‚ย  You never know what might happen around here to put me behind! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you card makers for your efforts for our kids, I know the kids will love to share these cards with their dads! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  There is plenty of inspiration here for Father’s Day cards, lots of different ideas! ๐Ÿ™‚ย ย ย  Please don’t think I have all I need!ย  There are plenty more dads that will still need cards!ย  Don’t forget I have three hospitals! ๐Ÿ™‚

Don’t like making Father’s Day cards?ย  Make some masculine cards, they can be used for Father’s Day ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  Masculine cards hard to make?ย  Be sure to check out my categories for more Father’s Day caed ideas.ย  Pinterest has some nice cards, also SplitCoastStampers! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  A lot of people have trouble making masculine cards, you’re not alone!ย  Use other people’s sketches, take their idea and change it up with different papers or colors, make it your own! ๐Ÿ™‚

Made it last year?ย  Not to worry, I’m hoping that we’ve had a turnover on kids being in the hospitals, so old ideas are new again for new kids! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  You can also take last years idea and make it look different! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for stopping by today, I appreciate your interest in our cause! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  If you’re stopping by just to get inspiration, we’re glad to have you too! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I hope you all will come again! ๐Ÿ™‚

Merry Monday #162, Friday Mashup #213 & SAS4Kids

I have a short post tonight with only two cards, but I made both of them:)ย  I’m actually entering another challenge, but the title was way too long! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  lol

My first card is for Merry Monday #162, their challenge is always a Christmas Challenge.ย  This week the challenge is to add one or more tags to your card.

162I’m also going to enter my card at the Doodle Panty challenge, Ants in my pantry digital challenge 6.ย  I know, what a long title, but their images are so cute, check them out! ๐Ÿ™‚

This is a Doodle Pantry digital image called Charlie Sledding.ย  It’s a pre colored image, and I think it’ll be great for one of the kids at Send A Smile 4 Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚ย ย  Yes, I start early with Christmas, it’s so easy to get behind;) ! ย  I used an embossing folder by Darice, some silver ribbon from Stampin’ Up!, a snowflake punch from Martha Stewart, and I printed the blue background paper on my computer.ย  The blue paper comes in the kit from Doodle Pantry:)ย  Oh, almost forgot,ย  The snowflake and the two glittery sides are Stampin’ Up! Glimmer Paper, Dazzling Diamonds.ย  I popped up the tag with Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Dimentionals.

My second card is for the challenge over at the Friday Mashup #213.

This week’s Mashup Challenge is:
  • Create a project with the colors “Cajun Craze, Island Indigo and Garden Green”
  • Create a project with a “Father’s Day Theme”
  • or Mash it Up! and Create a project with “The challenge colors and a Father’s Day theme”.

abSDC15673I chose a Father’s Day Theme because I still had one card for Father’s Day that I had not posted yet:)ย  I love this card:)ย  I used a digital image from Fred She Said called, Emma In Her Cool Cap.ย  I used the pre colored version, but you can also get this image in black & white to color yourself:)ย  The papers are Stampin’ Up! Real Red and Soft Suede.ย  The heart border was made with a Stampin’ Up! punch called Confetti Hearts Border punch.ย  I took a few of the punch outs and added them on the top left.ย  I just printed the sentiment at the bottom of the image.

Thank you so much for coming by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I appreciate your interest! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I will be back in a few days with some more cards, hope to see you then! ๐Ÿ™‚

Send A Smile 4 Kids and guests

Well, we’re leaving May behind and starting June, I can hardly believe how fast times flies by!ย  I have a one more Father’s Day card to share, and then we’re moving on! ๐Ÿ™‚

I did not make these cards!ย  The cards I have today are made by people who send me cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids:)ย  I have volunteered to accept cards that are sent in from around the USA, I sort them, label them (if needed) and pack them up to deliver to a Children’s Hospital near my home:)ย  I have some wonderful cardmakers sending cards in for my hospital and I like to share their talents with you! ๐Ÿ™‚

I have two cardmakers to highlight today:)ย  My first cardmaker actually has her own blog, her name is Andrea La Vigne, from TX.ย  You can find Andrea and the instructions for her cards here.ย  Both of the cards I’m showing are on her blog now, you just need to scroll down a little to find them both separately;)

Here is the first one:

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI love this card, it’s so great for a dad! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I know that this image is from Fred She Said, I’ve used it myself:)ย  Please visit Andrea for more details:)

Second card for Andrea:

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERANormally, I wouldn’t show someone elses cards if they have their own blog, but I love this card so much, that I asked Andrea for permission to show you all! ๐Ÿ™‚ย ย  Don’t you love the colors?!!ย  I wish I had a hundred of these to share! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  If you love it too, be sure to go visit Andrea over on her blog to find out how she did it !:)

Next I have some cards that were sent in back in February.ย  These cards have since gone on to the hospital for a child to enjoy:)ย  I took photos to be able to share them here with you:)ย  These four cards were all made by Debbie Long, from Goose Creek, SC:)

Debbie sent multiples of these cards, I used some for Father’s Day, and the rest I’ve been using for masculine cards for the older patients.ย  These are great cards and could be used for any occasion! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย ย ย ย ย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERALook at these, aren’t they handsome/adorable?!ย  I love the papers, colors, and image! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Debbie did a great job and I’m sure these cards were loved and appreciated! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’d like thank all my card senders! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Everyone does a wonderful job and I know that any of the SAS4Kids hospitals that receive these cards are overwhelmed by the kindness of these gifts! ๐Ÿ™‚

May is over, so I will be working on drawing the names for my May Blog Candy!ย  Anyone who made a comment or sent in cards in May was entered:)ย  I will have the winning names by June 15th! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thank you to all who sent in cards and/or took the time to comment! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for coming by today to check out the cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I hope to be back soon:)

Merry Monday #159, Father’s Day, and SAS4Kids

I have lots of cards to show you today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  First, I would like to remind everyone to check out the Blog Candy I have for the month of May! ๐Ÿ™‚

Next, I have a new card to enter into the challenge over at Merry Monday #159.

Need a little bit of inspiration for your Christmas cards?! You’ve come to the right place! There is still plenty of time for you to play along with Merry Monday #159! This week’s challenge is brought to you by our super talented, Debbie:

“Remember…have fun creating a Christmas card using “non-evergreen tree(s)” Have fun!

abSDC16053I’m assuming these are non-evergreen trees, at least I embossed them in Gold;)ย  I used half of a stamp for the Stampin’ Up! Christmas set, The Newborn King.ย  I love this set! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I can tell you how to get it at a discounted price!ย  If you’re interested, just let me know:)ย  I know it looks easy, but it actually took me almost a dozen tries to get it so I was satisfied!

First I stamped and embossed the entire stamp, which has more trees where the Glory is.ย  I had trouble getting the embossing powder to be just right๐Ÿ˜ฆย  Then, I decided to go a whole different way!ย  This card actually has three different stamps from the set of 4.ย  I tried just stamping the left side, but I kept getting residue from the right side:(ย  You can tell I’ve never done this already;) lolย  Then I took one of the images I didn’t like and cut it in half to make a template.ย  Ok, it was late and I really haven’t done this before…..really, my first time!

I stamped and embossed the left side, did the same for the right, and finally added the star.ย  I’ll be prepared to do this again! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  I didn’t have any Stampin’ Up! Gold paper on hand, so I used some from Recollections.ย  If you click on the image and make it larger, you can see the sparkle in the Gold paper:)ย  I really like how it turned out! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Of course, this will be going into a box for Send A Smile 4 Kids:) I actually make my cards so they can be found, many years from now by archeologists, I’m sure it will last until Christmas! ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol

Now be prepared to be overwhelmed by Father’s Day cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  My guest today is Holly Blaskie, from MI:)ย  Holly has sent cards several times and has done a wonderful job each time!ย  I truly appreciate all the cardmakers who send cards to me for SAS4Kids!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Two beach scenes, these are really nice, great images for June:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis one could be Father’s Day or any day for a kid who loves their dad:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย ย ย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERATwo awesome trees! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Even though they both have trees, they are totally different! Holly has done a great job with both of these! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI know most dads love cars, and this one is really special:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAHow cool is this one?!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI love these!ย  The same sentiment, but totally different cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I’ll have to ask her about the footprints, I’m assuming it’s an embossing folder, but I’ve been wrong before;)ย  These could either be Father’s Day or just I Love You Dad cards:)

If you have a card for a kid, check out the challenge blog sponsored by Send A Smile 4 Kids, here๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for coming by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I still have some Father’s Day cards to share, but I’ll also be adding more kids cards, so please come back and have a look! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAS4Kids with guest for Father’s Day

Wow, this month is going by so fast!ย  We’re well on our way to Father’s Day! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I have some wonderful cards to share today!ย  I DID NOT make any of these cards!!ย  These are all guest cards, made by card senders to Send A Smile 4 Kids๐Ÿ™‚

The first cards are from Diane Herniman from Canada:)ย  Diane has been showcased here before, she makes beautiful cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ This is what she has sent in for Father’s Day:)

The card is on the left, it looks like a button down shirt:)ย  On the right is the envelope, isn’t it fun!?ย  Diane makes all her own envelopes!ย  In the front is the inside “shirt”, it says Dad, you’re awesome.ย  You then put it into the “shirt”, you’ll see it in some more photos:)

Here it is in place on these two cards, aren’t they great!?ย  I think the kids will really enjoy giving these to their dads! ๐Ÿ™‚

I received 26 of these cards from Diane, all different!ย  She sent me directions to make them and she insists they’re easy to make!ย  We’ll see next year;)

Now I have a few cards from Donna Wakefield:)ย  Donna has also sent cards before that I’ve shared here.ย  Donna also does a wonderful job of making cards! ๐Ÿ™‚

This one is really neat, I don’t think I’ve ever received one like this.ย  The tag pulls right out of the envelope!ย  And, it’s plaid, I love plaid!ย  My father was famous for his plaid shirts! ๐Ÿ™‚

I really like this one, besides being plaid, it has a wonderful verse inside! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Now, it’s one of our rules at SAS4Kids, that the insides be blank for personal messages.ย  However, for my hospital, I called ahead and made sure these cards were okay to send with the messages;)ย  Donna has also sent one more with a message.

Diane and Donna both included sentiments, and I’m sure a tongue tied teenager will most likely appreciate not having to actually write a note themselves;)

The next card is from Gail Beggs:)ย  Now Gail sent in a box way back in March.ย  The box had lots of different cards, but only one Father’s Day.ย  I try to take photos of most of the cards when they come in, so even though this card has been sitting in the Father’s Day box since March, I can still share it with you all:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI love the colors and layout in this card, Gail has done a wonderful job! ๐Ÿ™‚

I have one more set of cards today, sent in by Jill Blasche of Texas.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAJill sent 2 or 3 of each of these, they’re all blank inside:)ย  Wonderful cards for our kids to give their dads! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Jill has also sent cards before:)ย  We appreciate all of our card makers! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  That’s why I want to remind everyone of my May Blog Candy! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Please scroll down or go here to find out more! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for coming by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I’ll be back with more cards soon! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Don’t forget to leave a comment and read up about the Blog Candy!ย  If you leave a comment, please follow me so you’ll know who the winners are in June! ๐Ÿ™‚

Blog Candy & Freshly Made Sketches #185

This will be another short post today.ย  I hope everyone enjoyed their Mother’s Day! ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I have a card that will be going into the Send A Smile 4 Kids box๐Ÿ™‚ย  It’s for Father’s Day, yes we just keep rolling along;)ย  I’m also going to enter this card in the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches #185. Here is their sketch for this week:

FMS Final 185-001ab fathers day glove 1Yes, I do stay close to the sketch;) lolย  One day I’ll surprise you all….but not today;)ย  I’m a little annoyed with this card:(ย  I printed two papers to use, I wanted to use the other paper first.ย  Sadly, I mounted it crooked:(ย  So this is plan B paper.ย  Since I was in a hurry, because I won’t be able to finish up tomorrow and still submit it on time, I went ahead and used this paper.ย  I love this paper, it’s from Stampin’ Up! and is called Well Worn.ย  I actually use it a lot:)ย  I don’t have the actual paper anymore, it’s retired, but I have it on My Digital Studio.ย  I just print what I need, whenever I need it:)

Anyway, the other paper is from the same set, so it uses the same colors.ย  I picked the colors for the first paper, so the Soft Suede, looks a little lost:(ย  I was going to use Not Quite Navy, but it’s hiding somewhere, because it’s retired:(ย  I was going to find it before I used this paper. It actually does look better in hand:)ย  That’s a long story, sorry:(ย  The colors I used are Soft Suede and Cajun Craze.

The image is digital and I bought it from Fred She Said Designs, it’s called Valentine’s Day-Catch Your Heart.ย  I took the image over to my Print Shop program and added the “Dad”.ย  I think it works for Father’s Day:)

Be sure to either scroll down or go here to find out about my Blog Candy!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for coming by today, I’m happy to have you visit! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Be back soon with more Father’s Day cards! ๐Ÿ™‚

BLOG CANDY, SAS4Kids Father’s Day with guest

Happy Birthday to me Blogย Candy!

My birthday is in May, two of my grandsons have birthdays in May, and my husbandโ€™s birthday is in May.ย  What a great month!!:)

So hereโ€™s what Iโ€™m thinkingโ€ฆ..throughout the entire month of May, you can make a comment on my blog, this will get you one chance to win.:)

You can send me a card for a โ€œchildโ€ 1 year to 19 years, that willย  get you two chances to win:)

If you make a comment during May, and send at least one card, you will have three chances to win! ๐Ÿ™‚

If youโ€™ve been following me for the last couple of months, you know I am doing volunteer work for Send A Smile 4 Kids, you can find my address and info here. ย  This is a wonderful group of people who make, collect, and donate handmade cards to childrenโ€™s hospitals:)ย  Any and all cards sent to me will be donated to The Childrenโ€™s Hospital of Illinois:)

What kind of Blog Candy do I have, you might ask.ย  I have 4 items that I will send out.ย  You will be able to let me know what your wish list is by numbering the letters 1-4.ย  One being what you would like the most, but this is not a guarantee. ย  These items have not been donated, all these items are from my own personal stash of craft items and are unused!ย  So hereโ€™s my list of Candy:)

A-From Stampinโ€™ Up, Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.ย  I love this folder! ๐Ÿ™‚

B-From Stampinโ€™ Up, Tagtastic, cling mount stamp set.

Samples were part of the catalog display, not included.

C-From Stampinโ€™ Up, You Brighten My Day, cling mount stamp set.

D- From me, die cut outs.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI cut these out myself and took a photo, all are included.ย  I have cats in black, top center and white so you can color yourself.ย  Kittens, in white, below the cats, and black.ย  I have puppies, in Stampinโ€™ Up! Chocolate Chip and white.ย  There are two guitars one in silver and one in black.ย  Bottom left is a boy on a sled in black.ย  I love all of these cut outs, so I thought someone else might like them too:)

So, now, Iโ€™m hoping youโ€™re wondering what kind of card to send;)ย  Here are the SAS4Kids suggestions. You could send birthday, thank you, thinking of you, sending prayers, thoughts & prayers, have a great day, encouragement, no sentiment with a cheerful image, Fatherโ€™s Day is in June, so that would be fine as well.ย  Please no Get Well, some of these children will not get well:(ย  We would like to concentrate on cheerful cards:)

I will announce the winners by June 15th, so please follow me so you will be notified of the winners:)ย  Also, if you send cards, make sure you include your email address and I will be able to notify you personally:)

Now, for some cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  All the cards shown today will be from a cardmaker sending cards to Send A Smile 4 Kids, Janelle Klapperich, from SD! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThese are the 3 cards from Janelle Klapperich that I will highlight today.ย  All of them are Father’s Day cards and they are made beautifully! I know a lot of the supplies are from Stampin’ Up!, if you have any questions, I can refer them to Janelle:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI had seen this shoe set and wondered what you could do with these shoes.ย  Wow, Janelle did a wonderful job! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I love this card and I know some child will love giving it to their dad! ๐Ÿ™‚

Look how different these two cards look, with the same supplies! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Well, almost, just changing the color of the sentiment, and the background paper, has given them a totally different feel:)ย  ( in my opinion;) )

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAOh, dear, I did a preview of this card just now, and noticed the card on the right has Janelle’s name spelled wrong:(ย  I’m so sorry Janelle! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

I wanted to tell you all to click on either one and it will enlarge, then take a look at the fish eye, it’s awesome! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I love these cards too:)ย  I think Janelle did a wonderful job choosing her papers! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Two similar cards, that feel very different, by just changing the color of the paper:)

All of these cards will be enjoyed by the fathers of the kids at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thank you Janelle for sending these cards in to me.ย  I have more cards from Janelle to share in a future post:)

Thanks for coming by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Be sure to read about the Blog Candy and leave a comment regarding Janelle’s cards:)ย  See you soon! ๐Ÿ™‚
