Doodle Pantry & Send A Smile 4 Kids

I’ve been sick for a few days, and I’m afraid it may get worse, before it gets better 😦  Probably just a cold, I don’t understand how they can make you feel so miserable! 😦

I have the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog near the top on the right side of my page! 🙂  You can order now if you’re interested, I’d be happy to be your Demonstrator! 🙂

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the beginnings of Fall ! 🙂  I love Fall and I have a number of cards to share with you today! 🙂

First is my card for the Doodle Pantry sponsorship of Send A Smile 4 Kids! 🙂  I will enter it in both blogs 🙂

asdc11212

Hmmm, it looks blurry here, but if you click to enlarge, it looks just fine 🙂 I used some misc. paper on the right, a couple stickers on the left, and an digital image by one of our sponsors, Doodle Pantry! 🙂  To make the card, I used Thinlits-Circle Card die (retired) by Stampin’ Up!  It’s so easy to make this cute card ! 🙂

Now for some fun SAS4Kids donor cards! 🙂  First I want to show some cards from my friend,  Jill Blasche of TX 🙂  She has made some great examples of Fall themed cards that aren’t Halloween.  She also has sent in some cards made for two of my hospitals and then changed them up just a little, so they can go to my hospital with no embellishments 🙂

Ok, the orange one looks kind of Halloween, but it doesn’t have to be 😉  Both cards are made two ways.  On the orange card, it’s made with googly eyes on the left, and on the right, it has just card stock eyes.  On the leaf card, on the right, you can see she used some string and a button.  On the left there is a paper button and just a strip of card stock in brown.  All of the cards are great and with minimal effort, changed into a card with no embellishments!

Again, the black card could be Halloween, but it has a general sentiment.  The black card on the left has ribbon, and the one on the right has card stock that looks like a ribbon 🙂  The pumpkin card has a nice Fall theme, with a general sentiment.  the one on the right has ribbon and three gems.  The one on the right has green card stock and three punched holes to represent gems, very clever 🙂

Two more that look like Halloween, but have general sentiments, and two more that are very Fall looking 🙂

Four general cards included in the box, I love the birds! 🙂  Thank you Jill for all these wonderful cards! 🙂

Next I have cards from Diane Herniman from ON, Canada 🙂  Diane makes wonderful cards with flowers from her garden and her dog, birds, and other live or flying things in her yard!

This is the front and inside of one of Diane’s cards.

On the left is the front and back of the card, and on the right is the inside 🙂

All card fronts, gorgeous photos! 🙂

On the left are two fronts and on the right is the envelope and card front 🙂  Thank you Diane for your beautiful cards! 🙂

Next is Yara Baird from WA,and she has a blog you can visit HERE.  Yara may have sent to other volunteers at SAS4Kids, but she is new to me 🙂 Yara has sent in a wide variety in her box! 🙂

Summer all the way to New Year! 🙂  Thank you Yara for your wonderful cards! I know the kids will enjoy these cards! 🙂

I know, it’s a long blog, but I’ve been gone a while 😉  One last donor, and that is Vicki Luebke of IN 🙂  Vicki sends in a lot of cards, she is really good with encouragement cards! 🙂

Great cards, Vicki, wonderful selection! 🙂  Thank you Vicki for your continued support of our kids! 🙂

All of the card makers on my team are talented and generous!! 🙂  I couldn’t do my job without all of you! 🙂

It’s taken me two days to finish this or more, I can’t remember, I hate being sick! 😦

I want to thank all of my cardmakers and everyone who has stopped by today for some inspiration! 🙂  I hope to be back soon with a brain that’s not filled with oatmeal!

Freshly Made Sketches #242 & SAS4Kids

Summer has been hard!   With all the grandkids home and lots of medical and other appointments, I’ve had less time to spend crafting! 😦   Well, today, I found time to make one card! lol  Yes, one! lol   But, I have lots of cards sent in for Send A Smile 4 Kids to share!

First my card, I will enter it in the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches #242 and also at the challenge for Send A Smile 4 Kids 🙂

FMS Final 242-001

OMGoodness, I love this new set from Stampin’ Up!, it’s called Best Birds 🙂  You can also get a die set to go with it! 🙂  I have to say, I love dies!  I cut a piece of magnet sheet and tape it (with very strong tape) to the back of my stamp box and they all stay right where I need them!  The stamps fit right on top of the dies 🙂

Everything on this card is from Stampin’ Up! unless noted! 🙂  I used a retired embossing folder with clouds for the background.  The So Saffron sun was die cut.  The bird is Marina Mist, and the branch is Pear Pizzazz.  The little thank you stamp is from Wishes Your Way (retired).

I had a lot of fun making this card, until I got Memento black ink fingerprints on it! 😦   It was so bad, I had to make a second one!  How disappointing! 😦  This card will be going into a box for one of my SAS4Kids hospitals 🙂  I’m a little short of Thank You cards right now, so I’m going to try and make more 🙂

I know you’re all waiting for more card inspiration and I  have a bunch for you! 🙂  First I have Judy Martin from PA 🙂  Judy is a repeat sender, thank you Judy! 🙂

Wonderful selection of cards, Judy! 🙂  I love all the fun Summer and water cards! 🙂  It was so much fun to add these to the boxes I just sent out!  Thank you Judy for being on my team! 🙂

Next is Lisa Simokaitis from IL 🙂  I love getting cards from my home state! 🙂

Great cards Lisa! I love all the animals, I know the kids will too, thank you! 🙂

Karen Peterson from NE is next 🙂  Karen makes a lot of her cards from kits and they’re wonderful! 🙂

Beautiful 3D flowers, Karen! 🙂  These cards are shiny and have gold accents 🙂  Thank you Karen! 🙂

Last for tonight is Lillian Abrams of MI 🙂  Lillian has a blog you can visit here 🙂

The last two cards are 6×6, aren’t they adorable! ?  I love all these cards Lillian! These are all fun and colorful, just perfect for kids! 🙂  Thank you so much! 🙂

That’s all I have for today, I hope you all have enjoyed looking at these great inspirations! 🙂   Please use all my links and check out all the sites mentioned! 🙂

Thank you to all my card makers who make it possible for me to send cards through Send A Smile 4 Kids to my 3 hospitals in IL! 🙂  I couldn’t do this without you!! 🙂

Thanks for coming by today, I appreciate your interest! 🙂  I hope to see you all again soon! 🙂

Freshly Made #240, SAS4Kids

I’m cutting it close, but I have some more Father’s Day cards! 🙂  First, I have the card I made 🙂  I will be submitting it to Freshly Made Sketches #240, and the Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge, Anything goes for Kids.

aSDC10593ab

I wanted to use my new Foxy Friends from Stampin’ Up!, but two people had already entered Foxy Friends.  I went with my second choice, Best Birds from Stampin’ Up! This set is awesome!  It comes with two bird stamps and 5 bird dies!  I colored it with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Tempting Turquoise.  I used a sponge dauber to add the color:)

As will most of my cards, this one will go in a box with SAS4Kids cards to go to my hospitals 🙂 I know it looks simple, but it’s granddaughter approved 🙂  I love all the colors!

Ok, now on to my guest cards for today! 🙂  First up is Debbie Caldwell of MI 🙂

Thank you Debbie for a great selection! 🙂  There are cards for boys and girls, young and older! 🙂  At this time, I have the only SAS4Kids religious hospital, there is even a card for them! 🙂  You are so thoughtful, thanks! 🙂

Next is Donna Wakefield of IN 🙂  Donna is a repeat sender 🙂

Really nice cards, Donna, thank you! 🙂  Also cards for different ages 🙂  I love how Donna used the same boat image in different ways! 🙂

Next is Holly Blaskie of MI 🙂  Holly is also a repeat sender 🙂

Holly picked some great designs and sent multiples of each 🙂  Thank you Holly for your great cards! 🙂

Next is Lee Mae Elkins of WA 🙂  I truly get cards from all over the US! 🙂  Lee Mae has also sent cards before 🙂

More great cards with something for everyone! 🙂  Thank you Lee Mae, the kids will love sharing these with their dads! 🙂

My last guest for today is Ann Williams of TN 🙂  Ann has also sent cards before, I have a great team of card makers! 🙂

Thank you Ann, for the fun and colorful cards! 🙂  The kids will love these, and I’m sure their dads will too! 🙂

All the card makers I have shown the past few weeks have really come through with great cards for dads! 🙂  I appreciate all the crafting you do for our kids and I know the kids do too! 🙂  You all have amazing skills, and I’m so happy you use those skills to share your cards with us! 🙂

I will be showing general cards all throughout the Summer 🙂  Take it easy on yourselves and enjoy your Summer! 🙂  I’m going to use everything I have on hand and then let you know what I need the most of 🙂  You are all the best team I could ever ask for, Thank you all! 🙂

It’s never too early for Fall, Halloween and dare I say, Christmas cards! lol

I hope to be back soon with more cards to share for your pleasure and inspiration! 🙂  Thank you all for coming by today! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches #231 & SAS4Kids

I started feeling much better this week after taking some antibiotics! 🙂  No one knows what was exactly wrong, but the meds worked, YAY! 🙂

Today I have a card I made for Freshly Made Sketches #231.  I will also enter it into our own Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge, which is For Moms or Special Females from kids:)

FMS Final 231-001SDC19882

Yes, I stay pretty close to the sketches;)  you’re probably thinking I cut the two pieces on the right.  Nope, I actually cut two very small strips of black.  I should have added one on the left of my image too, I still may, before sending to one of my hospitals 🙂

The back is black, on top of that is my background image.  I should have taken a photo because it’s not a very wide image and what I did was put one image on the left and the other on the right and there is white in the center.  You only see one image that way.  The background image is from PC Hugware.  They’re no longer in business:(  But, you can get the cute Nolan & the BullFrog from Fred She Said! 🙂

I was reminded of this image by my daughter telling her kids the other day how her and her brothers went fishing one year and when they came home they knocked on the door.  When I went to the door, they had this big bull frog right in my face, made me jump! lol Right away I thought of little Nolan taking his mom a bull frog for Mother’s Day 🙂

The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Teeny Tiny Wishes 🙂

Ok, that’s enough from me, I have two guests today, the first is Ann Merkins of MN 🙂

You really need to click on these and make them bigger! 🙂  Ann has told me she makes these cards with napkins!  She didn’t tell me how she does it though:(  They’re sparkly! 🙂

I have never seen napkins this pretty in my life! 🙂  They really make beautiful cards! 🙂

The card on the far left is so beautiful, the colors are stunning!  I really like the card on the far right too! 🙂  Ann made several quilt cards in different colors and designs, they’re all beautiful! 🙂  Thank you Ann for such wonderful cards for our kids to share with their moms! 🙂

Next I have Janelle Klapperich of SD 🙂

You all know I love when you use the same papers, layouts or images in different ways! 🙂 The two cards on the left look really different, even though they’re basically the same 😉  Now I could split these up and send to two different hospitals, but I don’t think it would matter, even if they were on the same floor 😉

Janelle uses a lot of Stampin’ Up! products! 🙂  All three of the cards to the right are made with Botanical Blooms, stamp and die bundle.  Also the one above with the yellow flower 🙂  It’s still available in the Stampin’ Up! Spring Occasions Catalog until May 31st! 🙂  Yes, I do sell Stampin’ Up!, I just don’t push anyone to buy it 😉

I didn’t buy this set, because I didn’t care for the examples I had seen 😦  If I had seen Janelle’s examples I would have had this already! 🙂  The green card in the center is gorgeous!   Janelle did such a great job, you should enlarge it 😉

Here’s a peek at some Father’s Day cards! 🙂  More Stampin’ Up! products! 🙂  These are all great Father’s Day cards! 🙂  I really love the plane, and I have that set! 🙂  Thank you Janelle for sharing these wonderful cards with our kids! 🙂  I’m sure the dads will be thrilled! 🙂

Well, I’m off to bed, I won’t stay well if I don’t get my sleep!  It snowed here last night and was still on the grass this morning!  I hope you all are having some better weather! 🙂

Thanks for coming by today, I hope you all have a great week and come back again soon! 🙂

Merry Monday #197, Easter & SAS4Kids

This has been a horrible month for me! 😦  I had Strep Throat, a cold, and now a Sinus infection! 😦  I am not a happy camper:(

What cheers me up is to make cards, sort cards, box cards & send cards!  Actually, anything that involves cards makes me smile! 🙂  So I’m here to share some Easter cards with you! 🙂

First, my card, is for Merry Monday #197.

197 aaSDC19704

One of my card makers used this embossing folder by Darise, I loved it so much, I had to get it!  It folds up at the corners and looks like a photo frame:)  Here’s a side view:

aSDC19709

For this card I used the Darise Embossing Folder, I think it’s actually called Photo Frame.I used Stampin’ Up! Real Red cardstock, White Glimmer Paper, and Wink of Stella clear glitter brush.  I used a digital image from BellasScrapsnClips on Etsy.  One more photo to show you the Wink of Stella:)

bbSDC19710

I put the Wink of Stella on all the snow, I think it looks really pretty! 🙂  Next I have some guests with Easter cards! 🙂  First up is Cyndie Reis of CA:)  Cyndie has sent in cards a couple of times now:)

Aren’t these cute!?  The colors, the papers the cutouts, all are so adorable! 🙂  Thank you so much Cyndie for finding us and sending cards in! 🙂

Holly Blaskie is a repeat sender from MI:)

Pretty colors and images, the kids will love these! 🙂

I love these papers and colors, so Springy! 🙂  I adore this little lamb from Stampin’ Up! so cute for Easter! 🙂  Thank you Holly, your cards are always wonderful! 🙂

Lastly I have Lee Mae Elkins of WA:)  Lee Mae has her own blog that you can visit here, http://boxesofdogs.blogspot.com/

Lee Mae has sent in a wide variety of cards and very few duplicates, where does she find the time?!

Some really great cards for the boys, and the ones on the right, I think would be great for teens:)

Simple layouts, but great papers and images make them special! 🙂

More cute cards! 🙂

These cards are adorable, love the papers and images!

I love all of these cards!  The two on the left are so different from the rest! 🙂  The two on the right are also so stinkin’ cute!  Thank you Lee Mae for sending so many different cards, I know the kids will love all of them! 🙂

Well, I’m exhausted and ready for bed!  Maybe I’ll take a nap and get up again, who knows;)  Thanks so much for coming by today, I really appreciate your interest! 🙂  I’m hoping to get well at some point soon so I can get back to some kind of schedule.  I’m sorry if I’m not as cherry as usual:(

I’m wishing all of you a very Happy Easter, I hope you can enjoy it with people you love! 🙂

Merry Monday #194, Easter, SAS4Kids

OMGoodness, I am soooo tired! 😦  I found out today that I have Strep Throat:(  I’m going to do this post and head straight to bed!

I have a card for the challenge over at Merry Monday #194.  I actually made it a couple of days ago, but I’ve just been so tired:(  I’m going to show you my card and then I have one guest today with Easter cards! 🙂

194

aSDC19477

I used Stampin’ Up! Real Red c/s and embossing folder, Petals a  Plenty, one of my favorite embossing folders:)  The image came from an online seller that I believe is no longer in business, PC Hugs.  The sentiment I printed off my computer.  I think I used a Martha Stewart punch for the snowflake, and I put a sequin in the center.  I left a white border around my image, I think it looks like an old snapshot:)

My guest today is from Canada and I’ve shown her cards before, Diane Herniman:)  Diane make her special cards using a lot of photos from her personal garden:)

On the left is the back of the card, and on the right is the inside.  It’s a little strange because this is the first time I remember there being a blank area on one of Diane’s cards.

Here is a side view on the left.  I wanted to try and show you how the embossing folder folds upwards and makes a lovely frame for Diane’s flowers! 🙂

On the far left is the handmade envelope, and then the back of the card.  On the right is the inside of the card, with photos from the garden:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

This is the outside of the card, you can see more detail of that embossing folder.  You put the image in the center and then carefully fold the edges up.  Reminds me of a photo frame:)

Ont he left is the inside of the card, and on the right, the outside.

The inside is on the left and the outside is on the right.  What adorable baby bunnies! 🙂

Here are a few Mother’s Day cards to get you started:)

On the left are the three insides that go with the cards on the right.  Diane sure knows how to pick papers and colors! 🙂

Look at the gorgeous card with flowers from Diane’s garden!  The front of the card on the right shows the embossing folder really well, it’s a lovely design! 🙂

Thank you Diane for sharing your works of heart with our kids in the hospital!  They will love all the Easter cards and they will love sharing these cards with their mothers! 🙂

We have a new challenge up over on our SAS4Kids blog, pop over and check it out! 🙂

Thanks for coming by today, I’m always happy to have visitors! 🙂  hope to see you again soon! 🙂  I’m going to have some hot tea and then go to bed!  I hope you’re all well and enjoying this weekend! 🙂

Doodle Pantry #14, SAS4Kids, Guests

It seems I’ve settled into posting once a week, but I’m going to try and post twice a week:)  It’s just so darn busy around here!  With 7 people in one apartment, we just seem to recycle all the germs! 😦

Anyway, I’m going to enter this card in the challenge at Doodle Pantry, ANTS IN MY PANTRY DIGITAL CHALLENGE 14.   Also, at our own, SAS4Kids, Anything Goes 4 Kids Challenge.

aSDC19170

aSDC19176

I actually made this card for my brother’s birthday.  My “baby” brother just turned 57, so hard to believe!  I like this card so much, I’m going to make more than a couple of them for the kids! 🙂

I used an image from Doodle Pantry, they are one of our sponsors over at our SAS4Kids challenge! 🙂  This image is called Sweet Stuff and it’s free with any purchase! 🙂 The stripe paper is also in the kit with other candies and papers:)

I used a number of Stampin’ Up! products and I will list them in this paragraph.  Embossing folder Large Polka Dot, cardstock, Real Red & Daffodil Delight, Stamp set A Round Array,  with circle punches 1″ round, 7/8″ scallop, and for the inside I used the 1/2″ circle punch for the gumballs, and Smoky Slate ink pad.

The little blue gumball was cut from one of the papers I printed from the DP kit:)

Now on to some guests! 🙂  I have quite a collection tonight of mixed cards and some Easter:)  My first guest is Robin Hayworth from NY:)  Robin is a retired Dr. and her cards are clean & simple! 🙂

Aren’t these cute, I love them all!  These are great cards for not only the younger ones but up into the next age group:)  Great encouragement cards!

I love all the colors on these, bright and fun! 🙂

Here are some that would be great for the older kids!  The flowers look hand painted! 🙂 Thank you Robin for these great cards! 🙂

My next guest is Kayla Ford from IL, my home state:)  Kayla is going to knock you out with her colors and papers!

What did I tell you, bright and fun!  🙂

Even the “plain” kite card is adorable!  These cards will bring sunshine to any room!  Thank you Kayla for sharing your talent with our kids! 🙂

Jill Blasche from TX is next, she has been with me since I started and I love how I can ask her to make cards a certain way, and she does 🙂

Jill has a lot of sentiment stamps that I love!  Look how different these cards are!

I had asked Jill to make some cards for teen boys, aren’t these great! ?  Not girly at all!

I hope you get a kick out of the ones on the left:)  My grandson, 4, colored these dinos, and I showed Jill, she asked if Lawrence would color some for her, and here they are!  I think she did an awesome job, and so does Lawrence! 🙂  On the right, the tea cup card, has some beautiful gold stitching across the center, and I sent her the rose.  It’s new from Stampin’ Up! the stamp set is called Rose Wonder, but all I used was the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies.  I used my Big Shot to cut it out of white card stock, then I colored it with Blendabilities (retired).  I love the way Jill put it on the sparkly craft cardstock and embossed it with dots all over! 🙂  Thank you Jill, for sharing with our kids and being a wonderful friend! 🙂

This post is getting pretty long, so one more guest, Ruby Taylor, from MS:)

These are so cute and bright, Ruby made several of each design, so more kids can enjoy them! 🙂  Thank you Ruby and all of my card makers, you are talented and generous! 🙂  I appreciate every single one of you! 🙂  I’m excited every time I get a box to share with our kids! 🙂

Thank you everyone who has stopped by today to visit, I appreciate you too! 🙂  I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing the cards and maybe got some inspiration for your own cards.  Please visit our sponsor, Doodle Pantry, and our SAS4Kids challenge blog! 🙂  Hope to see you again soon!
