Friday Mashup #236, SAS4Kids & Guests

I’ve been sick and in hiding for 4 or 5 days:(  I’m tired of being sick, so I’m here to share some Christmas cards! 🙂   Hopefully, I’ll stay awake! 😉  I’m going to submit this first card to the  Friday Mashup #236🙂

FM236

This week’s Mashup Challenge:
  • Create a project inspired by Christmas Cookies.
  • Create a project with Dies.
  • or Mash it Up! and create a project using Christmas Cookies and Dies.

aaSDC18599From Stampin’ Up! I used Red Glimmer paper and sequins.  The main image is from Doodle Pantry called, Milk and Cookies.  If you click on it to make it bigger, it gets blurry:(  I don’t know why, it didn’t happen until I added my Watermark:(

I also made a card for Freshly Made Sketches, but with being sick, I missed their deadline:(  But here’s my card:) I’m going to enter it into the Challenge over at Doodle Pantry, Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge 12.

aaSDC18601I used the same Stampin’ Up! Red Glimmer paper, and the same Doodle Pantry image.  I changed the layout to match the sketch, and used some cookie border that I found in my stash:)  I think it’s pretty cute and I’m sure a kid will love it next year, when I send it out for Send A Smile 4 Kids:)

Now, on to my guests who have sent in cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids.  These cards have already been sent out:)  My first guest is a friend of mine who I know through Stampin’ Up! 🙂  She knows how much I love SAS4Kids, so she sent in some cards:)  Welcome Debbie Essay from PA:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI believe all of Debbie’s cards were made with Stampin’ Up! products, but since my head is still full of cotton balls, I’m not going to look them all up unless you ask;)  Aren’t these cute! 🙂  The kids are going to love them! 🙂

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERANow I know off the top of my head, that the tree, candy can and the gingerbread men, all came from the same set.  It has stamps with matching dies (retired).  Now look at these snowglobes, they’re from the 2015 Holiday catalog and I think they’re still available:)  The set also includes a ballerina.  I love how she did the two cards on the right.  It reminds me of how you make a card and then step it up for the second card:) I remember this set is called Sparkly Seasons.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThese Santa’s remind me of the step it up cards too.  Santa is here on the left, then in both cards on the right:)  Great coloring, Debbie:)  I love the snowman card also:)  I’m sure kids will be getting these cards this week and next:)  Thank you Debbie for joining us and sharing your talents! 🙂

My next guest is a first time sender:)  Hopefully we’ll see more of her cards in the future:)  Please welcome Ann Merkins from MN:)  Ann has shared with me that she makes most of her cards with napkins! 🙂  They have a beautiful sparkly shine to them:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI checked out the snowmen and if you click on them to make them bigger, you can see some of the sparkle;)  Beautiful cards! ;0

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI don’t know where Ann finds these, I’ve never seen napkins like this!  The kids are really going to love all the sparkle and shine! 🙂

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAMore really cute cards! 🙂  I really love the Cardinal paper! 🙂

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI remember the reindeer had shiny paper, my camera didn’t like it, but they are so pretty in hand:)  Finally two Winter cards, one has no sentiment and can be used for anything, and one Thank You:)  Great job Ann, thank you for sending cards to our kids! 🙂

Sorry to rush off, I feel like I’m not even sitting upright in my chair:(  I think I’ve had enough of pretending I’m all better;)

Thanks for coming by today, I hope you enjoyed all the cards and maybe found some inspiration:)  I do have some more Christmas cards to share, but it will depend on how I’m feeling:)

  4. There is nothing worse than being sick at Christmas, so take it easy. Let me share a favorite saying, “what will happen if I don’t?” So it doesn’t matter if you didn’t make the bed, or do the dishes, etc. that means take care of you first.
A lovely array of cards from your friends and yourself.
    Merry Christmas – Barbara
