Personal share with a senior center

Hi Ladies ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Some of you know that I have a personal card share with a senior center.ย  For those of you who don’t know, it is in no way part of Send A Smile 4 Kids!ย  This is personal in honor of my mother who has passed.ย  My Mother lived in the same town since I was born, more than 50 years!ย  My siblings and I all grew up there.ย  My brother still lives in the same house.

My mother really enjoyed the senior center after my father passed.ย  She made many friends, went on trips, and enjoyed many other activities ๐Ÿ™‚ย  After she passed a few years ago, I decided to do something nice for the seniors that attend there now, in honor of my mother ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Since I am a card maker, I make cards for the seniors to send to their family and friends ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve decided to share some of these cards with you so you can see how I make cards that are flat for mailing ๐Ÿ™‚ย  You can send me cards for “my” seniors, but, of course, you don’t “have” to.ย  This is not part of SAS4Kids!

These cards are as “flat” as can be made.ย  The Post Office loves to add on postage, but I don’t want the seniors to have to do that ๐Ÿ™‚ย  They do not have glitter, buttons, brads, bows, large gems or anything that might make them bulky.ย  You can use layers, without pop-ups ๐Ÿ˜‰

The cards I send are some of the same sentiments as SAS4Kids:

Winter, Christmas, Valentines, Spring, Easter, Patriotic, Summer, Fall, Thanksgiving, Get Well, Sympathy, Miss You, Hi/Hello, Thinking of you, or Birthday.ย  All cards are blank.

I’m sorry for such a long explanation ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  Here are some samples I made this week:

DSC00855

DSC00856

I love how the first card came out! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  It’s a layout I use a lot, but it’s so pretty with the pinks and gold.ย  I used a paper pad from Michaels, Recollections,” Sugarblush.”ย  It has pink Santa’s that I’m using for the kids ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I used two gold cardstock papers that I bought at Micheals in the individual section. I also used Stampin’ Up! Melon Mambo, and their new snowflakes that are available from Nov. 1st to Nov. 30th only.ย  I can help you order them if you don’t have a demo ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I also used all Stampin’ Up! punches and dies.ย  The sentiments were printed on my computer.

Next I have the masculine cards I made:)

DSC00853

This card is the same layout as the first pink one above.ย  I think it still needs something, a snowflake?ย  Suggestions?

DSC00858

DSC00859

For these three cards I used a paper pad from Carta Bella called, “Let It Snow”.ย  For these three cards I used general sentiments.ย  Any “theme” paper can be made into a general sentiment card. This last card is a great example of using Fall paper and making it into one of the sentiments we use all the time ๐Ÿ™‚ย  It could just as easily say Hi/Hello, Smile, Happy Birthday, or any other sentiment you have ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the cards I made! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I will be back again on Nov. 3rd with a card post for Send A Smile 4 Kids, I hope you will come back! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you to anyone already sending cards for “my seniors”! ๐Ÿ™‚

Now, on to some cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I have two cards from one of our sponsors, Fred She Said Designs ๐Ÿ™‚ย  This link goes right to the page of this set called Christmas Poinsettia Packs: Red or Blue ๐Ÿ™‚

My Project2

This first card was made with items in the pack, except for the shiny gold medallion behind the flower.ย  The medallion is from Stampin’ Up!, it’s retired, but I had a few left over from last year.ย  It’s just an idea how you can make the pack items look a little different.ย  I also used Stampin’ Up! Real Red cardstock for my base layer ๐Ÿ™‚

aDSC00439

This is the second card I made using the Christmas Poinsettia Pack, from Fred She Said ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I’m sorry, parts of this look a little blurry to me ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  I hope you all can see it okay ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I used just the Poinsettia from the pack and mounted the whole thing of Stampin’ Up! Real Red.ย  The black paper is from Carta Bella, Christmas Delivery paper pack #2.ย  Nope, I don’t have it sitting around, I bought it from Snap Click Supply.ย  It’s a digital paper pack, and it printed out beautifully on Canon, Matte, photo paper.

Behind the black designer paper is just some Stampin’ Up! Basic Black. For the Memory Box, Holly Vine, I used Stampin’ Up! Garden Green. I used a set by Avery Elle called Winter Woodland Wonders for the “Merry Christmas” sentiment. Lastly, I used a retired embellishment for the middle of my flower from Stampin’ Up!

The Poinsettia was so easy to cut out once it was printed, also on Canon, Matte, photo paper.ย  This card shows that you can take items you have sitting around, add a FSS Christmas Poinsettia and you have a beautiful card! ๐Ÿ™‚

Now, I will be giving away, free, to one of my commenters, one of two Stampin’ Up! Party Pandas stamp sets! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  All you have to do is make a comment on my blog and you will be entered to win! ๐Ÿ™‚

I made a card for this occasion, the set is usually for Birthdays, but I saw a panda with a Christmas hat somewhere and thought it was so cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

DSC00468

I used Stampin’ Up!ย  Real Red cardstock.ย  The tree is from Peaceful Pines, the sentiment from Snowflake Sentiments, The hat is from Jolly Friends, it also had a punch for the hat, and of course, the panda is from Party Pandas, all sets from Stampin’ Up! I believe they are all retired, but Stampin’ Up! has a lot of sets that are similar and the new Holiday catalog will be coming out before you know it! ๐Ÿ™‚

I cut down the hat and white hat band, it was a little too big, but it helped to have the punch ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  The panda actually has a card in his hand.ย  I cut out his arms and made a little Christmas gift and colored it with Stampin’ Up! markers.ย  I drew the bow right onto his lower face ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  The inks I used were Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Real Red and Early Espresso on the tree trunk.

I am personally supplying 3 Stampin’ Up! stamp sets.ย  One on Dena’s blog and 2 on my blog.ย  I have two sets of Party Pandas ๐Ÿ™‚ย  These were very popular and very cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

DSC00469

I enjoyed making all these cards and encourage you to check out Fred She Said and Stampin’ Up!

Thank you so much for supporting Send a Smile 4 Kids and our wonderful sponsors of this blog hop. Good luck in the drawings! Leave a comment here and hop for more chances at many prizes.

THE NEXT STOP IS: Anne Slattery

Freshly Made #208, The Friday Mashup #230 & SAS4Kids

I got another card made! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  And, I’m going to enter it into two different challenges!ย  The first one is Freshly Made Sketches #208, the second one isย  The Friday Mashup #230.

FMS Final 208-001FM230F

This week’s Mashup Challenge:
  • Create a project featuring Donuts or Baked Goods.
  • Create a project with a Friendship Theme.
  • or Mash it Up!ย and create a Friendship themed project with Donuts.

This is so sad, I have no donuts:(ย  So I substituted baked goods:)

aaSDC17964I wanted to meet the both of the challenge rules and still make a card that a child will love.ย  I think I did it! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  What kid isn’t going to love Gingerbread cookies?ย  The central image and the background paper are digital images from Raspberry Road Designs.ย  The set I used is called Christmas Tradition, I used two sets, the Paper and the Side Clusters Set 1.ย  The sentiment, which I thought was perfect, I found in a set called Fancy Pie, from Doodle Pantry.

I can’t remember what die I used for the circle, but the oval punches are both Stampin’ Up!ย  I also used Stampin’ Up! Real Red and Garden Green cardstock.ย  The sequins are Stampin’ Up! and I used some Dazzling Details on the snowflake.ย  Of course, this card was approved by my grandchildren;)

Even though I didn’t use a stamp set on this card, I’d like to mention that Stampin’ Up! is having a 15% off sale on stamp sets next week Oct. 19th thru Oct. 23rd.ย  I’d be happy to order some sets for you is you don’t have a demonstrator:)ย  If you have a demonstrator, be sure to ask about the 15% off sale! ๐Ÿ™‚

Now, I just can’t walk away from Halloween yet;)ย  I have a special guest today from Canada, Diane Herniman! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Diane makes cards like I’ve never seen!ย  All my cardmakers are special, I love all their different styles! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Diane’s cards are just another different style:)ย  I couldn’t copy them if I tried!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the envelope and the back of the card.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the card opened, I took two different views.ย  The little mummy pops up with a little side panel with a bat.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the front of the card, isn’t it great? !ย  I love the whole card, it’s already been sent to one of my hospitals:)ย  I know someone is going to love it! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the back on the left and the center on the right.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAOf course, this is the front, great card! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThe is the back, I love how Diane matches the puzzles to the cards!ย  Do you see the gems on the bottom of the card back?ย  The inside is great too!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAHere is the card front, is that wonderful?!ย  All of Diane’s cards are different! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI’m sorry the back is so blurry, but the cards are all shipped already and I can’t redo:(ย  But you can see that a cat card is coming up, right?ย  Look at the inside of this one, very detailed:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERALook at this great cat!ย  Isn’t it awesome?!

One more card to go!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERADiane makes all her own envelopes, they’re all different too! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  And here is the back, are you guessing a spider is coming your way?

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the center, it’s an easel card!ย  Isn’t this great?!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERASAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the card opened all the way and the front.ย  Diane has such a great imagination! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thank you Diane for these wonderful cards, I know the kids will love them! ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, that’s the end of the cards for tonight, I hope you enjoyed them! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thanks for coming by today, I’m always glad to have you! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Come back again soon to see more cards! ๐Ÿ™‚

All of these cards will be sent to my Illinois hospitals donated through Send A Smile 4 Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Be sure to check out our challenge blog, get card ideas, enter to win a prize, and be sure to send your cards in to one of our volunteers! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made #199, Friday Mashup #221, SAS4Kids

Hi everyone, I’ve been busy, as always! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  The kids start school this week, so they’re taking time today to be especially loud!ย  It will probably take me hours to get this posted!ย  Oh, what fun! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  Right now we are listening to two different types of music, kids songs and Christmas music! lolย  Never a dull moment here! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have a guest with me today, Nanci Simmons from FL:)ย  I’ll be showing her cards after I post mine:)ย  I’m going to be posting my card to three different challenges, a first for me! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I usually post one card for each challenge, but I’m pressed for time this week:(

The challenges I will be entering are:ย  Freshly Made Sketches #199.

FMS+Final+199-001

The Friday Mashup #221.

FM221Here’s your Mashup Challenge :

  • Create a project using shades ofย Dijon, Olive, Razzleberry.
  • Create a project inspired by Summer Flowers.
  • or Mash it Up! and create a “Summer Flowers Project using the colors above.

And Send A Smile 4 Kids, Clean and Simple Challenge.

pic22a

That’s a big job for one little CAS card!

abSDC17225This card has an amazing pre-colored, digital image by Fred She Said Designs! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  The image I’m using is called Wheelbarrow Digi & Pre-Coloured.ย  The sentiment is a Stampin’ Up! stamp, I don’t know what set it’s from, because I bought just this one stamp:(ย  Maybe someone reading this will know:)ย  The saying seems very appropriate for our SAS4Kids hospitals:)ย  It says:ย  “Every day holds the possibility of a miracle” by Elizabeth David. ย

At the bottom I added a strip of Daffodil Delight, embossed with a retired Stampin’ Up! embossing folder, Needlepoint Border.ย  I added a samll piece of Wild Wassabi.ย  I’d be hard pressed to make it much more clean and simple, although I could, just don’t want to;) lolย  The background color is also Stampin’ Up!, Pacific Point, one of my favorite blues! ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, that’s my card for today, now on to my guest, Nanci Simmons! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAre these too cute! ?ย  Nanci has sent multiples of her cards, but they’re all a little bit different:)ย  Different papers make the cards different enough for two kids to receive the same card on the same hospital unit:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAYou can see that Nanci is a master at changing a few things to make the cards different! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  These are all hand colored! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAMore hand colored cared, all are great for boys! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI’ve never tried these, but Nanci says they are easy and fun to make:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERALook at these 4 cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Nanci is so good at matching paper and styles! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I love all of these and once again, these could all go to the same hospital unit and everyone would be happy! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERALast two cards tonight, I love both of these! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I love Nanci’s wide variety of papers, colors and layouts! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thank you Nanci, all these cards will be great for our kids! ๐Ÿ™‚ All these cards, as well as my card, are going to hospitals sponsored by Send A Smile 4 Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for coming by today, I’m thankful for your interest! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Even if you don’t send cards to SAS4Kids, you can still get plenty of good ideas from all the cards posted:)ย  I am always interested in your comments or questions! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Have a great week! ๐Ÿ™‚

Merry Monday #168, Freshly Made #198, SAS4Kids guest

Ok, by the title, it looks like this post will be long!ย  Not to worry, it’s going to be one of my shorter posts, really;)ย  It’s getting late here so lets get to the show! ๐Ÿ™‚

First I have a card I will submit to Merry Monday #168, Pastel color Christmas:)

168I’m also going to enter this card into the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches #198.

FMS+Final+198-001Ok, now can you see where this is going?

abSDC17155Yep, pretty close to the sketch;) lolย  One day, I’m really going to surprise you….. but that’s not today;) lolย  For this card I used a pre colored, digital image from Fred She Said Digital Designs๐Ÿ™‚ย  This image is called Emma the Caroler / Caroling Angel.ย  I chose to use the angel because one of my hospitals is a Catholic hospital.ย  At this time, I have the only hospital that accepts religious cards from Send A Smile 4 Kids!

More fun things I used include an embossing folder by Darice, some new In Color cardstock from Stampin’ Up! called Mint Macaron, some sequins, also Stampin’ Up, and some Stampin’ Up! All is Calm Designer Washi Tape.ย  It’s on the Macaron cardstock across the middle, Silver stripe.ย  This is from last year, but I love it!ย  Right now it’s in the Stampin’ Up! clearance rack, let me know if you would like to buy some, it’s a pack of 5 tapes:)ย  That’s it for me, except this card will be going in my Christmas box for SAS4Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚ Check out their challenge this week! ๐Ÿ™‚

Next I have a repeat donor for SAS4Kids, her name is Tammy Gullett, from IA. Some donors send large boxes of cards, and that’s wonderful! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Other donors, like Tammy, send small packages, and that’s wonderful too! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  We encourage you to send whatever you have to send! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Every card makes a difference in the life of a child! ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t have a lot of different designs for Tammy, but she usually send multiples of all her cards:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Aren’t these too cute?!ย  Cute image, great colors and look at those tiny bone brads! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAren’t these awesome?!ย  Tammy has never sent this type before, a step card, she did a wonderful job on both of them! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

I think the red card is a swing card, I’m not sure.ย  I have a template to make them, but I’ve never made one yet:(ย  Tammy is so adventurous! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  The frog is just adorable! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThese are my favorite, I think;)ย  She made three different bike colors:)ย  The kids are going to really love these! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Bikes, sunshine, rainbows, who wouldn’t?!ย  Thank you Tammy for all your wonderful cards! ๐Ÿ™‚

I told you it would be one of my shorter posts;)ย  I hope you enjoyed viewing all the cards today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you again real soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

Merry Monday #167, Freshly Made #197 & SAS4Kids

Wow, I have a lot going on today, and I also have a guest!ย  Are you ready?ย  Here is the info for Merry Monday #167:

167Here is the card I made, I wanted to do something different……

SDC17078bYes, there is a tiny heart, you probably need to click on it to see;)ย  There is a little green angel holding up a heart down by the “a” in Peace.ย  I was going through my storage and I found these little gift tags.ย  I outlined it with silver line peeloffs and the added the Holly leaf peeloffs.ย  The Merry Christmas is also a peeloff.ย  Peeloffs are very popular in other countries, you can get them in the USA.ย  I’ve found them here, look under stickers. I used Stampin’ Up! Real Red as my cardstock highlight color.

FMS+Final+197-001Freshly Made Sketches #197 is a sketch.ย  You all know I stay pretty close to the sketch;)

SDC17052Supplies for this card are all over the place!ย  I used some tree looking paper and the gray paper, both printed on my printer, from Raspberry Road.ย  Both are digital papers from different sets.ย  I should have written it down, but I didn’t:(ย  Iย  have tons of digital kits from Raspberry Road!ย  If anyone wants to know which sets, please just ask and I’ll look it up:)

The branch was cut from the same paper using a Quick Kutz die.ย  I couldn’t decide if I wanted in front of back, front won.ย  The moon was cut with the new Stampin’ Up! 2 inch circle punch, from Stampin’ Up! Crushed Curry.ย  Of course, I used the Stampin’ Up! owl punch.ย  The eyes are Stampin’ Up! Melon Mambo.ย  The owl gray front came from one of the Stampin’ Up! Halloween papers, I didn’t write that down either, I’m so sorry:(ย  But, I know the Happy Halloween stamp came from the Stampin’ Up! set Teeny Tiny Wishes๐Ÿ™‚

Both of my cards are going into boxes for Send A Smile 4 Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  SAS4Kids has a challenge blog, and this week the challenge is Christmas in July, check it out! ๐Ÿ™‚

Now I have a guest today, Donna Wakefield from IN.ย  Donna is a repeating card donor and she also has a blog of her own.ย  You can go visit her and see what else she’s up to:)

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAAren’t these too cute?!ย  Donna might say on her blog where she got these adorable penquins:)ย  I love all the blues! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  All Donna’s cards will be going to one of my 3 hospitals, supplied by SAS4Kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERADonna send a number of these, and that’s ok, because I have 3 hospitals to share with! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  These are awesome, and there are a couple more different designs! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Some really pretty girly cards!ย  I don’t know, maybe boys like flowers too:)ย  This looks like a Stampin’ Up! set:)ย  Really pretty colors! ๐Ÿ™‚

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAWow, these cards look really fun! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Who doesn’t like balloons or kites?!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAย ย ย  SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI love this cute little birthday puppy, but the sand castle is my favorite today!ย  If you look close, you can see little footprints in the sand near the center!ย  Don’t you just love it? !ย  The sentiment is appropriate, because the whole card looks dreamy to me! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Donna for sending more fun and encouraging cards to our kids! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for coming by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I hope you enjoyed viewing all the cards! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I plan to be back soon with more cards to share! ๐Ÿ™‚

More Send A Smile 4 Kids

I’ve been feeling kinda depressed lately:(ย ย  I made myself sit down and make 3 more cards for Send A Smile 4 Kids.ย  It helps to think of other people when I get overwhelmed.ย  I sat for about 3 hours under my special light that simulates sunlight, that helps too.ย  So if Winter is getting you down, take a seat and make some cards.ย  Don’t forget to turn on some upbeat, happy music:)

I wasn’t feeling terribly creative, I hope the kids will still be happy with what I’ve made.ย  I used all pre-colored, digital images from Doodle Pantry. Laurie’s images are so cute and cheerful, I love to work with them! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I do not get any compensation, or free images from Doodle Pantry, I just love their images! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  And a lot of you know that I’m coloring challenged! lol

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAIt’s not that I don’t think my cards are cute, I just used very similar layouts for most of my cards this week.ย  I think the beaver would be nice for a boy, I tried to not make it too cutsie.ย  Both of the papers for the beaver card, come with the kit.ย  Hmmm, I’m really having a hard time concentrating:(ย  I used two different sets today, one is With Heart, a portion of theย  proceeds from this set willย  be donated to Operation Write Home.ย  The little beaver comes from the set, Loving Critters.ย  Trust me, you can spend days looking at everything in the Doodle Pantry store!ย  You can also color most of the images yourself as well.

Well, I’m off to bed, I will be up early with all the grandchildren;)ย  Thank you for stopping by today, I do appreciate all my followers and anyone who happens to drop in! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Life is short, make it matter:)

Valentine: Send A Smile 4 Kids

Wow, you’re not going to believe that I actually made 4 more cards this week!ย  Good thing they invented lights, because I’m up very late at night making cards!ย  It doesn’t get quiet here until about 10pm, my hubby has been taking over in the morning:)ย  Even still, I’m up by 9am, that’s when I have to get up whether I want to or not;)ย  lol

I’m just posting cards today, if you would like info regarding supplies or techniques, please ask:) These cards are all for Send A Smile 4 Kids, except the last one, it’s going to my granddaughter;)ย  All digital images are by Doodle Pantry, so far, I have only worked with the pre-colored images.

I CASEd the card with the XOs from Susie B at SplitCoastStampers.ย  I think I found it on Pintrest.ย  Susie’s had a bear, really cute, thank you Susie for the inspiration:)

I hope you like my cards today.ย  Lawrence was taking a nap but he’s up now, and Grandpa is sleeping so I have to go be in charge:)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look:)ย  I hope to have more cards by next week.ย  Hopefully it will be warmer next week and the kids will all go back to school so I can make cards;)ย  Please stay warm, or cool, wherever you may be! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches #113, Operation Write Home, Send A Smile 4 Kids

Hi everyone, I’m so glad you could come by today! ๐Ÿ™‚ ย I have three cards to show you today, all of them pretty simple to make:) ย I won’t have very much commentary today, it’s late and I’m soooo tired!

My first card is for the Freshly Made Sketch #113. ย I was going to submit it to Merry Monday #84, but I ran out of time:( ย Anyway…..here is the sketch for this week:

FMS Final 113-001I actually have 2 cards for this sketch, but they are practically the same so I counted them as one;)

Half-fold Card3

Half-fold Card2The only differences are the way I put them together and the sentiments. I used a Martha Stewart Punch to make the little trees:)ย  These two cards will be going in the box forย Send A Smile 4 Kids:) ย My next card is really Simply Made!

Half-fold Card4Click on it to make it larger and see the embossing better:) ย It’s a wonderful winter scene:) ย The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry, it’s part of their Operation Write Home fund raiser:) ย  ย  Through November 30th, a large portion of the proceeds will go to Operation Write Home! ย

Here is my last card for today, I used an old sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. ย I don’t have time to run off and find it now, but if you’re interested, just ask in the comments;)

Half-fold Card1This sketch is so simple to make, I’ve used it for all kinds of different cards! ย Today, I have used a digital image from Fred She Said, one of my favorites,ย  Cathin’ Flakes:) ย  ย When I got all done tonight making cards, I realized just how much blue I was using! lol ย I love blue, but I didn’t do it on purpose:) ย For the last two cards I used Stampin’ Up! Pacific Point, and for the first two, I used Stampin’ Up! Garden Green. ย The last two cards will be going in the box for Operation Write Home:)

I’ll be posting some more cards with stickers this week and then it’s off to their destinations for my boxes! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for coming by:) ย See you soon! ๐Ÿ™‚
