Freshly Made #70

Oh dear, I made this card for the Freshly Made #70 challenge, but I missed the deadline:(  Oh well, I’m going to post it for you anyway:)  You can still click the link above and go see what everyone else made:)

Here’s the sketch for challenge #70:

FMS Final 70-001Now here is the card I made with mostly digital elements that I was telling you about:

Half-fold Card1Hmmm, it looks a little blurry here, I think that’s from cropping:(  Anyway….the blue background paper, the blue foreground paper, the tan accent paper and the main digital image are all from Raspberry Road Designs called, Whispers of Winter.  I made the sentiment on Print Shop, using the same paper as behind the image.

Everything is printed, cut out and then layered.  You may be able to tell the sentiment has been popped up. The black in the very back is Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, I used SU gems, and Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up my sentiment.

This card will be mailed out this week for a family members birthday.  I love all the blues and the image! 🙂

On Friday, Feb. 1st, Fred She Said will be having a blog hop and sale!  Pop over to her blog and sign up to follow and you will receive a notice:)  Or be sure to come back here on Friday and I will have all the details:)

Thanks for coming by today, I hope you like my card:)  I’ll be back again soon, hope to see you! 🙂

Friday Mashup #94

Having moved in Dec. right around Christmas, at least half of my craft items are still packed in boxes:(  I do have some Chinese design stamps, but I probably won’t find them until Spring!

So once again, I am making a digital card.  If you think it takes less time or effort to make a digital card, you would be wrong, at least for me!  This card was made for the Friday Mashup # 94.

So here is the “Mashup” Challenge:
  1. Make a project with a Chinese New Year (Year of the Snake) Theme“.
  2. Or Make a project using the “Paper Lantern Technique.
  3. Or “Mash it Up” and create a project for the “Chinese New Year featuring the Paper Lantern Technique”.

On the blog there is some interesting information regarding the Chinese New Year, so go have a look:)

Here is my card:

Friday Mashup 94This card has lots of layers, and I got everything from different places!  The black background paper is Digital Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, also Cherry Cobbler.  The yellow, blue and red symbol paper all came from a site called Lettering Delights.  I don’t know if these papers are still available, I’ve had the digital set a  long time. The silver word images came off of Print Shop, as well as the Chinese coins.  The dragon image came on the blue paper.

I’m pretty pleased how it turned out:)  I could have printed everything, cut it out and glued it together, but I’m tired:(  I actually worked on this card for more than  a couple hours……with some interruptions;)

I have another card that I will post tomorrow, I hope.  It will be partially digital.  I will actually cut it out and put it together:)

Thanks for coming by today:)  I hope you like my card, it’s just something different.  See you again soon:)

Merry Monday #46

I love Merry Monday over at Always Playing With Paper! 🙂  This week is no exception, they have a theme challenge this week and it’s  for the birds;)

Theme 46How cool is that?!  I love birds!  Here is the card I made:

Half-fold Card1I cased this card, and I have to thank Chris Dickinson for the inspiration!  I believe I saw the card on SplitCoastStampers.

I used all Stampin’ Up! products except for my beautiful pre-colored digital image from Fred She Said!  This image is the Christmas Cardinal, but there are two more birds in the Christmas Bird Series.  I also love this Blue Jay, good for many seasons!  It was hard to choose, but Cardinals are always my first choice:)

Please feel free to ask questions regarding supplies or techniques:)

Thanks for coming by today:)  Don’t forget to check out the DT call over on the FSS blog!  Also be sure to head over to Merry Monday to see all the other beautiful bird cards! 🙂

I hope to see you again soon:)

Friday Mashup #93

Today I have an all digital card!  Yep, usually I would print out my digital pieces and cut them just like any other paper and make my card.  But today, I did the whole card digital.  My granddaughters have been helping me make cards in my craft cave…….it’s a mess!

I did print it and cut it out and had it set aside to put together…….so much for best laid plans.  LOL   Well, they’re only young once:)

Here is the challenge for this week over at the Friday Mashup:

So here is the “Mashup” Challenge:
  1. Make a project with a “Birthday Theme”.
  2. Or Make a project using “Brads”.
  3. Or “Mash it Up” and create a “Birthday project with some brads”.

And here is my card:

Friday Mashup 93I decided to “Mash it up”, because I can;)  Lucky for me to have gone digital, I still can’t find my “real” brads!  My main image is precolored from Fred She Said, called Emma & the cake.  Isn’t she so cute?!  She comes in 4 different colors, or a plain digi that you can color however you like:)

The other digital elements and papers all came from Raspberry Road Designs, the set is called Whoo’s Having A Party.  I love the way the colors match with my FSS image:)  The sentiment was typed and added in my Print Shop program.

I’m very picky when making digital cards.  I can tell you it takes me just as long to make a digital card as it does to cut and paste one!

Fred She Said, is also having a DT call for the Spring.  Head over to the FSS blog and check it out! 🙂

Well I’m off to bed.  Thanks for stopping by again so soon:)  My next card should be a Christmas card for Merry Monday, I hope you can stop by again:)

Merry Monday #45 with Fred She Said

I’m continuing with my “move that never ends” !  Now that everything is out of my rental home, I have to find homes for everything in my apartment!  Not a small task considering it’s such a small apartment!  I am so ready to make cards and relax a little! 🙂

Today I have a card for Always Playing With Paper, Merry Monday #45🙂  Here is their sketch for this week:

Sketch 45And here is my card, you can click on it to make it larger:

Half-fold Card1I have chosen a pre-colored digital image from Fred She Said called, Candle Glow Christmas Flower Set.  I used the background paper from the same set.  There are other colors combinations if you’re interested, here🙂  I 3D mine with glue dots for the first layer and Stampin’ Dimensionals for the top layer.

I used Stampin’ Up! Basic Black and SU So Saffron for the banner.  The text is from Stampin’ Up! set Christmas Blessings.  I love blue for Christmas, and blue and yellow are one of my favorite combinations:)

Thanks for stopping in today:)  I’m off to make another card:)

Happy New Year! I’m back with another challenge

That was a terrible move!  It rained, it snowed, our car broke down, AND we’re on the second floor! 😦  But here I am and forward we must go…..  I’ve found enough of my craft supplies and set up my area (mostly), to make a card:) !  I was beginning to think I would never be able to make a card:(  Anyway….

FMS Final 67-001Here is the card I made, you can click on it to make it larger:

Poster4resizedYou don’t have to use hearts, but I had this card in mind for my mother’s birthday.  She loves yellow! 🙂  Most of my supplies are Stampin’ Up!, but the pre-colored, digital image is from Fred She Said. The set is called Hearts & Roses, you can find it in the FSS store.  I’d be happy to answer any questions regarding supplies or how I made my card, just ask:)

Fred She Said is having a sale!

FSS-New Year SALEAlso on the FSS blog, you can find The Cards that Christmas Forgot “Parade”.  I didn’t have any cards that I forgot, so I just made a challenge card. So head over to the blog and see what the others have posted for you to see:) And don’t forget to visit the Freshly Made blog to see all their cards! 🙂
