Merry Monday #82, Fred She Said sponsors Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge

I have two more cards today:)  I’ve been staying up way too late! 😦  It’s the only time that it’s quiet around here;)  The first card is for the Merry Monday challenge #82. I used an earlier MM sketch from challenge #69.  I don’t think I did that challenge  at the time, but I thought it would work for this week:)  The challenge this week is to use Red, Aqua, White and use circles.

MM New Look Sketches-015Here’s the previous sketch I used:

MM69Here’s the card I made:

Half-fold Card1I honestly had no idea where I was going with this until I sat down and started to play.  I decided on the circle mints first.  I cut them with a Stampin’ Up! 1 inch punch out of a whole 12 x 12 sheet.  I love this paper!  I also love the background DSP, it’s the new Winter Frost paper from Stampin’ Up!.  It’s actually the back side of a sheet.  On top of that I use a little Whisper White and then one of the new In Colors, Coastal Cabana, looks like Auqa to me;)  The little stripes with dots, is like a paper ribbon that comes already glued.  I’ve actually had it for at least a year, and just now used it.  The sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado, I’ve had  it for a very long time too:)  This card will be entered in the Merry Monday #82 challenge, but it will be mailed to Send A Smile 4 Kids🙂

My next card is for the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge, sponsored by Fred She Said!  If you want a chance to win some Fred She Said images, head over there and enter!  I’m on the FSS Design Team so I can’t enter, but you can! 🙂  The theme for this challenge is Traditional Christmas Colors, with a twist.  So they would like to see Red, Green and Silver and/or Gold.  How easy is that?  I know you can do it! 🙂

For my card, I used an old sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, #93.  Here it is:

FMS93

Here’s my second card:

Half-fold Card2 At the back I used Basic Black from Stampin’ Up!, on top of that I used a silver paper from Michaels.  Then Stampin’ Up! Garden Green embossed with a Sizzix folder.  I used more silver behind the SU Read Red stripe, and the Real Red square.  The main image is from  Fred She Said  called, Christmas Cardinal from the Christmas Bird Series. I LOVE Cardinals!!  I love so many of the Fred She Said images, I know I always say it’s one of my favorites, but this one really is at the top of the list!  I will also be sending this card to Send A Smile 4 Kids.  They are hoping to get enough cards so the children can give cards to their favorite nurses or doctors too:)

Thanks for coming by today! 🙂  It’s always nice to be able to share my cards:)  More cardmaking for me tonight! 🙂
