Hi everyone, I’ve been busy, as always! 🙂 The kids start school this week, so they’re taking time today to be especially loud! It will probably take me hours to get this posted! Oh, what fun! 😉 Right now we are listening to two different types of music, kids songs and Christmas music! lol Never a dull moment here! 😉
I have a guest with me today, Nanci Simmons from FL:) I’ll be showing her cards after I post mine:) I’m going to be posting my card to three different challenges, a first for me! 🙂 I usually post one card for each challenge, but I’m pressed for time this week:(
The challenges I will be entering are: Freshly Made Sketches #199.
Here’s your Mashup Challenge :
- Create a project using shades of Dijon, Olive, Razzleberry.
- Create a project inspired by Summer Flowers.
- or Mash it Up! and create a “Summer Flowers Project using the colors above.
And Send A Smile 4 Kids, Clean and Simple Challenge.
That’s a big job for one little CAS card!
This card has an amazing pre-colored, digital image by Fred She Said Designs! 🙂 The image I’m using is called Wheelbarrow Digi & Pre-Coloured. The sentiment is a Stampin’ Up! stamp, I don’t know what set it’s from, because I bought just this one stamp:( Maybe someone reading this will know:) The saying seems very appropriate for our SAS4Kids hospitals:) It says: “Every day holds the possibility of a miracle” by Elizabeth David.
At the bottom I added a strip of Daffodil Delight, embossed with a retired Stampin’ Up! embossing folder, Needlepoint Border. I added a samll piece of Wild Wassabi. I’d be hard pressed to make it much more clean and simple, although I could, just don’t want to;) lol The background color is also Stampin’ Up!, Pacific Point, one of my favorite blues! 🙂
Well, that’s my card for today, now on to my guest, Nanci Simmons! 🙂
Are these too cute! ? Nanci has sent multiples of her cards, but they’re all a little bit different:) Different papers make the cards different enough for two kids to receive the same card on the same hospital unit:)
You can see that Nanci is a master at changing a few things to make the cards different! 🙂 These are all hand colored! 🙂
More hand colored cared, all are great for boys! 🙂
I’ve never tried these, but Nanci says they are easy and fun to make:)
Look at these 4 cards! 🙂 Nanci is so good at matching paper and styles! 🙂 I love all of these and once again, these could all go to the same hospital unit and everyone would be happy! 🙂
Last two cards tonight, I love both of these! 🙂 I love Nanci’s wide variety of papers, colors and layouts! 🙂 Thank you Nanci, all these cards will be great for our kids! 🙂 All these cards, as well as my card, are going to hospitals sponsored by Send A Smile 4 Kids! 🙂
Thanks for coming by today, I’m thankful for your interest! 🙂 Even if you don’t send cards to SAS4Kids, you can still get plenty of good ideas from all the cards posted:) I am always interested in your comments or questions! 🙂 Have a great week! 🙂
Very sweet card Janet. So beautifully co-ordinated as always. Wow! Nanci’s cards are impressive. Great colouring.
Beautiful card, Janet! And Nanci’s cards are wonderful, simply wonderful!
Janet, What a sweet card! It is going to bring a huge smile to a little one’s face. (And, how nice of you to have a guest designer. Yes, Nanci is a pretty talented lady!)
Your card is very pretty. Using precolored digis makes for fast card design. That sentiment is so appropriate.
Janet, I love the sentiment on your card, as well as the color combo & sketch! I love the koala & skateboard cards of Nanci! How very cheery!!!
What a beautiful card and perfect representation of summer flowers! Thanks for playing along at Friday Mashup!
Love your CAS card, Janet! The colors are just perfect for a summery card. I think I’ve seen pinwheels like in Nancy’s two cards demonstrated, and they are pretty easy. I’d be hard-pressed to remember the process off the top of my head, though! They are pretty, however. Thanks so much for sharing all these cards! 🙂 ~ Andrea
